Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 248: Chapter 248 Inexpressible Deep Love [5]

Finally, the day to board the flight back home arrived. Before boarding, she sent a simple message to Dawn Sutherland, yet it carried the joyful excitement of a young girl.

”Brother Dawn, I’m boarding the plane. Remember to pick me up at the airport, okay!”

She called him Brother Dawn ever since she first visited the Sutherland Family as a child. From that very first meeting, she had a deep impression of him. Later on, when she got to know him better, she would always follow behind him, softly calling, ”Brother Dawn.”

He ranked second in the Sutherland Family, and among his close friends Arlo Seys and Nico Haynes, he also ranked second, hence she called him Brother Dawn.

After sending the message, she smiled sweetly, turned off her phone, and boarded the flight to City C.

Up in the air, sitting on the plane, she thought about how she would soon see someone she had missed for years, and her lips revealed an uncontrollable, radiant smile.

The plane roared as it landed on the runway and came to a stop. She pushed her suitcase through the bustling crowd alone, looking around to find Dawn Sutherland among the people.

Finally, a familiar silhouette appeared in her view. It was a figure so deeply ingrained in her heart.

She paused, gazing at Dawn Sutherland not far away, with his perfect profile, unfathomable dark eyes, straight nose, and thin lips with a subtle curve—simple, clean, yet elegant.

She was dazed, having not seen him in this way for so long.

”Daisy.” A pleasant voice reached her ears.

She snapped back to reality and looked into his eyes.

He walked towards her one step at a time, his lips carrying a faint smile, not as warm as before.

Was she seeing things?

”Brother Dawn.” She still called him the same way she used to, with a gentle smile.

Then she saw him hand her a bouquet of flowers with a soft smile, saying, ”Welcome back, Daisy.”

”Thanks, Brother Dawn.” She happily accepted the flowers and glanced at them, a hint of disappointment in her eyes.

They weren’t roses, but a bouquet of deep red wild roses.

Most of the flowers she received were roses—red, pink, white. It was the first time anyone had given her wild roses.

She lowered her head and lightly inhaled the fragrance. Although wild roses weren’t as vibrant as roses, they smelled wonderful, and her lips curved into a light smile.

”Didn’t he come back with you?” He casually took her luggage and walked alongside her towards the exit.

The person he referred to was his half-brother, Aidan Sutherland, her fiancé. Her heart felt a bit bitter as she glanced sideways at him, replying, ”Mm, he has things to deal with, so I came back first. Why, Brother Dawn, do you hope I won’t disturb you?”

”Haha, how could I...”

”Well, during this time, I might trouble you, Brother Dawn. After all, I haven’t been back in five years, and the city must have changed a bit. I plan to explore it thoroughly.”

He nodded in agreement, replying with two words, ”Of course.”

They walked side by side, yet deliberately kept a distance, the air filled with awkwardness.

After five years, upon reuniting, the naturalness of their youth was gone. Was it because they had grown up?

They sat in the car, enveloped in silence for a long time.

”Um, is everyone okay? Young Master Seys and Third Haynes, how are they?” Daisy Grant feared if she didn’t speak up, the thin air in the car would suffocate her.

This wasn’t the reunion she had long anticipated; she clearly had a lot to say to him but didn’t know where to start.

”They’re all doing well. Actually, today the Sutherland Family wanted to throw a welcome party for you, but I declined, considering you’d be jet-lagged, and you probably wouldn’t like it,” Dawn Sutherland gently said.

”Aunt Sutherland and Uncle Sutherland were very thoughtful, but unfortunately, I’m really not interested in that.” Daisy Grant looked at him, smiled faintly, and felt a warmth rising within her. He still understood her so well.
