Chapter 242: Chapter 242: I Didn’t See Anything!

Ariel Morris’s eyes welled up with tears from the collision, and hearing his angry roar only made her feel a sting at the tip of her nose.

Arlo Seys saw the tears in her eyes, thinking she was hurt even more, and held her as he stood up, ”We’re going to the hospital right now!”

”No,” the moment she heard the word ’hospital,’ Ariel Morris thought of the unpleasant smell of disinfectant, and without thinking, she refused, ”I’m fine, just got bumped. Could you help me up?”

Arlo Seys’s expression turned serious, ”Are you really okay or not? If it’s serious, you must go to the hospital!”

”I’m fine! If you don’t believe me, I’ll jump to show you!” Ariel Morris pulled herself up by the bed’s edge, intending to jump to reassure him.

Ariel Morris stood up and smiled slightly, ”See, I said I’m fi—ah!!!”

Ariel Morris was focused on talking to Arlo Seys and accidentally lost her balance, falling backward.

Arlo Seys instinctively reached out to catch her waist, but her backward momentum was too strong, causing both to fall onto the big bed.

Arlo Seys’s body pressed against Ariel Morris’s, warm breath brushing her face, making her feel warm and tingly, and instantly blush.

Arlo Seys’s face was only a few centimeters away from Ariel Morris’s, and as he looked at her stunningly beautiful face beneath him, he felt a slight turmoil in his heart, his body tensing.

Ariel Morris was only wrapped in a bath towel, her skin fair and delicate, the blush on her face adding a touch of charm and cuteness. Arlo Seys felt a heat rise within him, causing his whole body to heat up.

This feeling—he wasn’t dumb. Arlo Seys pressed his thin lips together, feeling his body temperature continue to rise.

”Arlo Seys—could you—could you get up?” Ariel Morris tried pushing him away, avoiding his intense gaze.

Ariel Morris!

Just as Ariel Morris was about to respond, a cry came from the doorway.

”Boss Seys, we came to see you—oh my! What a sight not suitable for young eyes!!!” Nico Haynes’s exclaimed at the doorway.

Ariel Morris and Arlo Seys both looked out and saw Nico Haynes standing at the doorway, mouth agape, eyes wide with shock.

Arlo Seys grabbed a pillow from the bed and threw it at Nico Haynes, ”Close your eyes and get out!”

Speaking, he had already stood up, using his other hand to pull a blanket over the just towel-clad Ariel Morris, covering her delicate figure.

Nico Haynes caught the pillow, grinning mischievously, ”Boss, carry on—carry on! I didn’t see anything! Really!!!”

Arlo Seys’s response was to grab another nearby item and throw it over.

Nico Haynes quickly closed the door, and with a bang, that item hit the door.

Outside the door, Nico Haynes jumped up and down, ”Wow! Boss Seys, you’re brutal! Throw anything at me! Luckily, I’m quick on my feet!” Nico paused, then suddenly raised his voice, ”Boss Seys, continue! But take it easy, you just got out of the hospital, and Ariel Morris ain’t good on her legs!!”

Ariel Morris: ”...”

Nicole’s still downstairs! With Nico Haynes shouting like that... how is she supposed to face anyone?

Nothing had happened between her and God Seys! Damn you, Nico Haynes! Ruining my innocence!

Arlo Seys’s face was unnaturally stern, his tone a bit taut, as he glanced at Ariel Morris, ”Change your clothes and go downstairs to eat.” He said, taking a set of clothes from the wardrobe and heading to the bathroom.

Ariel Morris made a sound of acknowledgment and casually asked, ”What are you going to do?”

”Shower.” Arlo Seys casually replied with two words.

He had to take a cold shower to extinguish the scorching heat!
