Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Those two Holy Sons represented the most powerful clans in the universe. One came from the Eternals, while the other was from the Ji Clan.

As one of the most powerful clans and races across the universe, the two Holy Sons were revered by all, and as someone with the title ”Holy Son”, the two were destined to become the strongest figures in their respective starfields.

In fact, those two Holy Sons would most likely be able to influence the universe itself in the future.

They hadn’t been able to taste defeat until they lost against Lu Yuan. Naturally, they were not going to let Lu Yuan go—or so what other people believed. The truth was that the two Holy Sons were more concerned about the future.

If given enough time, Lu Yuan would eventually become a being they could no longer restrain. He was most likely going to become a huge threat to their clans, and this was something they could not allow to happen.

In the eyes of the many beings from the Outer Cosmos, Lu Yuan’s actions had provoked the fury of both Holy Sons, and they would surely attempt to reclaim the dignity they had lost.

However, many suspected that they would fail again like their previous attempts. They had joined forces many times and sent wave after wave of fighters down to Earth, yet the final laugh had always belonged to Lu Yuan.

On top of that, the Milky Way Starfield still had the power of the Separation of Heaven and Earth on its side. As such, some felt that it was time to seek peace with Lu Yuan. If things continued as they were, they stood to gain nothing at all.

Before they proceeded with any negotiations, they had to lie low for a while and avoid making any rash moves.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ningxian had already guessed their move.

She understood perfectly well that the arrogance the invaders from the Outer Cosmos had displayed upon their descent was built on the fact that Earth had no powerhouses holding down the fort. Now that Lu Yuan was here and could be considered a certified powerhouse, the story was now different.

In this world, strength was the only currency that mattered.

Lu Yuan’s breakthrough to the Immortal Realm meant no one could afford to ignore him anymore. Even those from the top ten starfields could no longer disregard him.

Hence, Jiang Ningxian deduced that some of them would inevitably come seeking peace, hoping to dissolve the so-called grudges of the past. She made no move in response and did nothing about it. She believed Lu Yuan had to decide for himself.

Meanwhile, the descent of beings from the Outer Cosmos continued instead of grinding to a halt. In fact, more and more of them were descending, as Earth’s changes were becoming increasingly dramatic.

At this point, the blessed lands weren’t just the famed mountains and great rivers of the world. Even ordinary hills and valleys had begun producing many different spiritual fruits and exotic herbs.

Of course, they weren’t particularly potent due to their young age, and they weren’t especially rare as well, but there were just too many of them. Under these conditions, Earth saw yet another explosive surge in the number of Awakened.

Some who had failed to awaken during the first and second Global Awakening had finally embarked on the path of evolution. In less than a month, thousands of new Awakened were added to the Celestial Court’s ranks.

More importantly, the invaders from the Outer Cosmos had discovered that training and evolving here was indeed far faster than in the Outer Cosmos.

Just as many had predicted, Earth had become a unique place that was conducive to evolution, and as a result, more and more invaders were descending every day.

Those on the path of evolution naturally wanted to reach higher stages of evolution, and quite a few of them had been stuck at their current stage of evolution for far too long.

They had to make a breakthrough soon, or they would perish once their lifespan ran out. Those desperate for a breakthrough had just realized that an opportunity to do so had been placed right in front of them. Descending to this world could bring them one step closer to their next breakthrough, and no one in their position would turn that opportunity down.

Lu Yuan knew that all this would happen before entering seclusion, but he hadn’t tried to stop it. He had no intention of making an enemy of the entire universe, so there was no need for him to stop those who weren’t his enemies.

Mount Tai also greeted visitors from several starfields, all of which were among the top one hundred, even though none ranked particularly high. However, these were starfields allied with the Jiang Clan, and they had descended specifically to bolster the Celestial Court’s strength.

The Jiang Clan valued both Earth and the Celestial Court highly. They also knew the two Holy Sons would never let things rest, so to prevent any potential incidents, they sent reinforcements nonstop. This way, they would have nothing to fear, even if Lu Yuan were to remain in seclusion for an extended period of time.

Of course, Jiang Ningxian had proposed this arrangement herself. Her goal was to lighten Lu Yuan’s burden, but of course, she said nothing out loud.

The Celestial Court grew even stronger as more and more members reached the Sage Realm. The strongest among the younger generation was already pushing toward the Lesser Sage Realm. In short, the Celestial Court’s foundation and influence were improving at a rapid pace once again.

As for Jiang Haokong, he entered seclusion once more. This time, however, he chose to leave Earth. Due to the restraints this world imposed on outsiders, making a breakthrough here was particularly difficult for him.

As a native of Earth, Lu Yuan easily made his breakthrough, as the restraints on him weren’t as severe. Hence, he could just attempt a breakthrough as soon as he reached the threshold for one.

The Jiang Clan’s ancestors were from Earth, but they had left before the Separation of Heaven and Earth was made. They were in a similar situation to the Ji Clan.

If Jiang Haokong wanted to make a quick breakthrough, he had no choice but to leave Earth. As for whether he could surpass Lu Yuan after this breakthrough, even he couldn’t say for sure.

Of course, only when the Separation of Heaven and Earth was no longer around would the Great Age be in full swing.

In the blink of an eye, three months passed, and Lu Yuan had been in seclusion the entire time. At last, he had fully digested his gains and now had complete control over his power as an Immortal.

His soul and body had fully adapted to his power as an Immortal, so even though his stage of evolution itself hadn’t risen any further, his actual combat strength had changed significantly.

If he were to face the avatars of the two Holy Sons again, he would obliterate both of them in just a single move. The Immortal Realm was special, as even the slightest improvement could create an enormous gap in power between two Immortals.

Now that he was an Immortal, Lu Yuan could feel it more keenly than ever that the further one progressed on the path of evolution, the harder further evolution would become. The gaps between each stage would grow wider as well.

If the two Holy Sons had descended in their true bodies rather than as avatars, perhaps he wouldn’t have been able to stand his ground. After all, those two Holy Sons were prodigies among prodigies.

Lu Yuan didn’t dwell on it. He left the training chamber and stepped outside his residence. He had been in seclusion for so long that he had no clue what had been happening in the outside world.

Zhu Qingyu and the other members of the younger generation quickly caught wind of his emergence and hurried over. They gave him a briefing, and Lu Yuan became grateful to Jiang Ningxian once again upon learning that she had already arranged everything for him.

Jiang Ningxian had truly assuaged a chunk of his worries. One man could not be an island, after all, but even if he wanted helpers, he felt like there was no one else capable of doing what he had been doing so far.

Fortunately, Jiang Ningxian was here to share his burdens.

Just then, the Golden-Winged Great Peng appeared, and he had brought Yinglong along with him. Yinglong had been in seclusion ever since joining the Celestial Court, and it had finally reached the Void Sage Realm. In fact, it was even on the verge of reaching the Lesser Sage Realm.

Setting aside Lu Yuan, Yinglong’s rate of evolution was undoubtedly the fastest among the natives of this world. Today, Yinglong had come with the Golden-Winged Great Peng to deliver some news to Lu Yuan.
