Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

All eyes across the entire universe were on the Milky Way Starfield. At this point, everyone knew that the Milky Way Starfield had awakened. They believed that the Milky Way Starfield was on its way to reclaiming its previous glory.

With that in consideration, those from the Outer Cosmos had decided to flock to Earth and hopefully descend to seize resources, boons, fortunes, and ultimately, a wisp of that Great Providence.

They knew that they would witness the rise of formidable figures among the natives of Earth. Their job was to restrain those natives while securing as much profit as possible for their clans and races.

If everything had gone according to their plan, they would have had a chance at obtaining a wisp of Great Age Providence. They could then use it to propel their starfield and clan to true prominence.

Now, their goals were practically impossible to achieve. They witnessed Lu Yuan’s rise from being a Sage to reaching the Immortal Realm. As for what monster he would inevitably become, they did not even dare to imagine it.

They knew better than anyone how Lu Yuan had risen and how little time it had taken for him to become an Immortal. Yes, it only took him a mere few years to reach the Immortal Realm. The sheer absurdity of that fact was beyond words.

Even true prodigies—Holy Sons and Saintesses—could not possibly do the same thing. And who could say for sure when he would make another breakthrough? They couldn’t even begin to guess it, much less deduce it.

Lu Yuan’s rate of growth was truly terrifying.

Even two Holy Sons had failed, so what could the rest of them possibly do? Deep down, many of them felt that they hadn’t come here to seek fortune at all but to witness the birth of a legend.

Perhaps Lu Yuan could truly reclaim the Milky Way Starfield’s glory. Some even wondered whether it would be wise to ease tensions. After all, they had yet to directly stand against Lu Yuan.

If the Milky Way Starfield returned to the top ten in the future, wouldn’t that day be their reckoning? No one knew, and no one dared to gamble on it. The beings from the Outer Cosmos found themselves stuck in a deep quagmire of hesitation.

Of course, Lu Yuan was unaware of their dilemma. He had already entered seclusion to digest the gains in his recent breakthrough and adapt to his newfound power as an Immortal.

Making a breakthrough in the middle of battle was an extremely dangerous gamble, even for him, but the profit he reaped was truly massive.

Once in seclusion, Lu Yuan discovered that the clash with the two Holy Sons had given him a far stronger grasp of his new power than he would have had otherwise. It significantly cut down the time he needed to adjust.

At the same time, he sensed that his body and soul had formed a connection with the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token. This had never happened before. It was a strange and novel feeling. The connection had improved his divine sense to the point where he felt like he could feel the presence of all living beings.

”The token grants the ability to wield and bestow Providence. Those two abilities are already terrifying, but I have a feeling that there are more,” Lu Yuan murmured to himself.

His understanding of the token was still lacking, but he felt no urgency to study it. After all, the tokens were already part of him. Whatever secrets it held would surely reveal themselves in time.

Lu Yuan calmed his mind and turned his attention to the changes that reaching the Immortal Realm had brought to him. The first change was in his soul. His Innate Spirit had turned entirely gold, looking as though it were a tangible, physical thing.

If he wished, he could separate his soul from his body with minimal consequence.

Indeed, the sublimation that his soul had gone through upon reaching the Immortal Realm meant that even if his physical body was annihilated, he would not actually die. As long as his soul remained alive, he could rebuild his physical body. In other words, killing Lu Yuan had become extremely difficult.

If others wanted to kill him, they would have to annihilate both his body and soul.

Then there was his physical body. On the surface, nothing appeared to have changed, but Lu Yuan could feel the difference with perfect clarity. The sublimation of his flesh was even more shocking.

Lu Yuan was certain that he could be reborn from a single drop of blood.

However, this wasn’t a standard ability an Immortal would obtain by just reaching the Immortal Realm. This was made possible by his extraordinary physique, and his breakthrough had elevated it to brand-new heights.

Thanks to the sublimation of his soul, he could be reborn from just a drop of blood, even if his physical body was annihilated in just one attack. As long as his soul remained intact, he could quickly recover from any injuries.

Even though those were some shocking changes, neither of them was the greatest change Lu Yuan had experienced upon becoming an Immortal. The greatest change was his authority over space. If he wished, he could tear through the fabric of space and travel across the universe.

He could even create a pocket of space for himself. Naturally, the space he could create at present was tiny, and it could not house living beings. If he wanted to improve his personal pocket of space, he needed to make further breakthroughs.

As for his raw power, he had become at least dozens of times stronger than he was at the Great Sage Realm. Reaching the Immortal Realm had improved every aspect of his being.

Lu Yuan believed there were more new things to discover, but he wasn’t in a hurry, so he decided to set aside the self-exploration and focus on digesting his gains as well as acclimatizing to his newfound strength.

Under normal circumstances, the process of digestion and acclimatization could take a very long time. However, his breakthrough mid-battle had cut that time in half. Lu Yuan estimated that it would only take him two or three months at most.

It sounded long, but in reality, it was remarkably short. Lu Yuan’s time on the path of evolution had been brief to begin with. For anyone else, even if they were a Holy Son or a Saintess, the process would take far longer.

Moreover, Lu Yuan was in no hurry. His recent victory against the two Holy Sons meant that those beings from the Outer Cosmos would definitely rein in their ambitions and think twice before doing anything.

Jiang Ningxian and the Jiang Clan were also watching over things outside, so nothing was going to go wrong. He could afford to focus entirely on himself.

With that in mind, Lu Yuan’s mind calmed down completely.

Just as Lu Yuan had predicted, those from the Outer Cosmos fell quiet once again. Their brazen seizure of resources, blessed lands, and resources instantly came to a halt.

Everyone knew that Lu Yuan had become an Immortal, becoming even stronger. At this point, he now stood on equal footing with any clan and race from the Outer Cosmos.

If anyone were to keep causing trouble, they could end up becoming an example to warn the others. They all understood just how powerful Lu Yuan was, and they also knew that he was ruthless against his enemies. Anyone bold enough to provoke him was killed without exception; not one of them had survived to see another day.

More importantly, the invaders from the Outer Cosmos also knew that the Jiang Clan had become allies with Earth’s Celestial Court. In other words, those daring enough to cause trouble would have to think about whether they could afford to offend the Jiang Clan as well.

Meanwhile, the larger clans and races had received word of what was going to happen next. Apparently, the two defeated Holy Sons had finally decided to take things seriously.
