Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

There were rumors about how the two great powers had reached out to the people of the Sukhāvatī Starfield, which meant the move against Lu Yuan was supposed to be a joint effort between three factions.

However, only the people of the Ji Clan and the Eternals had come. Those from the Sukhāvatī Starfield were missing.

”Why do I feel like those bald guys decided to flake on them at the last moment?” Jiang Haokong remarked. Of course, it would be a great thing if that were indeed the case.

After all, the Sukhāvatī Starfield’s deep foundations and bountiful resources meant that they were a force to be reckoned with.

The Jiang Clan had always treated them seriously. In fact, they had sent people to observe the movements of those from the Sukhāvatī Starfield. Jiang Haokong couldn’t help but assume that the Sukhāvatī Starfield did not want to get involved, as they had yet to send anyone here.

”That’s absolutely not the case,” Jiang Ningxian said, disagreeing with him. She thought it over for a moment before saying, ”Those two powers are not reckless. They know that our Jiang Clan is working with the Celestial Court.

”They’re extremely wary of us, so I’m sure they sought reinforcements to make sure nothing could go wrong. Otherwise, they would never make a move.

”The only explanation is that those from the Sukhāvatī Starfield may have already arrived here, and they’re simply waiting to reveal themselves at the critical juncture.”

If that’s the case, then this is really dangerous. Jiang Haokong frowned at her words. Truthfully, even someone like him had no desire to face those Buddhists head-on. On top of that, the Jiang Clan’s core forces had yet to arrive, and the Celestial Court was still not strong enough to contend against them.

Dealing with those two formidable forces was already a stretch; a third one on top of that was just...

”Fairy Jiang, Holy Son Jiang, look!”

Zhu Qingyu and the others pointed toward the sky with worry and urgency written across their faces.

The two looked up at the battlefield and saw that the battle between Lu Yuan and the two Holy Sons had gotten even more intense. They held nothing back and unleashed all of their power to best the other.

Lu Yuan was strong, but the two Holy Sons were no pushovers either. In fact, the two were the cream of the crop, even across the entire universe. Prior to this fight, they had already fought each other, but the two Holy Sons at the time were mere avatars.

This time was different, as they were in their true bodies. As a result, the power they displayed was on an entirely different level than what Lu Yuan had witnessed so far.

As time went on, Lu Yuan slowly fell into a disadvantage, and he found himself being pushed back.

”Sis,” Jiang Haokong said. The meaning behind his action was simple—it was time for him to join the fight. At this point, Jiang Haokong had no idea to whom the last laugh would belong.

”Have faith in Lu Yuan. He’s stronger than what you can see. Since he said that he’d deal with the two Holy Sons himself, he must have a way to do so. We all just need to trust him,” Jiang Ningxian remarked, stopping him once again.

”I agree. King Lu never does anything he isn’t sure of,” Zhu Qingyu chimed in.

Among everyone present, only two people had the most faith in Lu Yuan, and they were Jiang Ningxian and Zhu Qingyu.

”Fine,” Jiang Haokong replied and said nothing more. The group fell silent, watching the battle closely.

Rumble!

The void shuddered, and explosions blotted out the firmament, filling it with dazzling light as if ten thousand bolts of lightning had detonated at once. Above Mount Tai, a myriad of lights wove together, creating a scene so bright that even the sun looked dim in comparison. It truly looked as if the end of the world was here.

An ocean of golden qi had manifested, engulfing everything. Within the ocean of gold, three figures could be seen throwing punch after punch as if they were trying to destroy the reality before them.

”We’re here in the flesh. Did you really think this would go like last time?” the Ji Clan’s Holy Son asked, his words dripping with cold indifference and killing intent.

As he spoke, his hands never stopped moving. He pushed his palm forward, sending a palm strike that made the ground jolt.

The Eternals’ Holy Son merged completely with his divine halo and followed up with another attack that demanded Lu Yuan’s full attention.

The combined assault of the two Holy Sons forced Lu Yuan to keep retreating; the golden vital qi around him was steadily being compressed back into his body.

At this rate, defeat was only a matter of time, yet his eyes remained resolute.

The next moment, one grotto-heaven after another materialized behind him. A god sat in each grotto-heaven, and as soon as they appeared, streams of power rushed into Lu Yuan.

The Primordial Dragon Breathing Technique could amplify Lu Yuan’s power tenfold—no, even a hundredfold enhancement was possible.

Rumble!

Lu Yuan threw a single punch, and his golden vital qi transformed into a stream of light that seemed to embody the concept of eternity. It instantly shattered everything, including the two Holy Sons’ attacks.

Lu Yuan had decided to bring out every card up his sleeves.

”Damn it. To think he still has this kind of move,” the Ji Clan’s Holy Son remarked. ”Go all-out. Otherwise, we might lose again.”

As soon as his words fell, the light around him burned even brighter, making him appear like a god. The Eternals’ Holy Son knew better than to be careless, so his figure vanished outright, leaving only a divine halo behind.

Buzz! Rumble!

The two Holy Sons brandished their strongest cards, but Lu Yuan paid them no mind at all. With the Primordial Dragon Breathing Technique amplifying his power, he did exactly what he had done before and threw just a single punch.

Boom!

A violent tremor ran across the void, and cracks spread across it at once. Space itself was shattered by a single fist. As an Immortal, the power of Lu Yuan’s fist was unlike before. A mere punch from him had shattered the space of this world, which was something even the two Holy Sons working together couldn’t do.

Of course, it wasn’t that they lacked strength. The Milky Way Starfield was once a glorious starfield, after all, so its space was extremely stable. Without enough power, breaking its space was impossible.

However, Lu Yuan had done it somehow. Faced with overwhelming power, the two of them could no longer hold on. Their figures were forced into the open, and both Holy Sons coughed up blood.

Indeed, Lu Yuan had truly reversed the tides of the battle in just one punch. One man had defeated two Holy Sons in their true bodies with just a punch.

”Wow...”

”Lu Yuan will definitely become one of the most terrifying powerhouses in the universe.”

”This is just terrifying. He defeated two Holy Sons all by himself. Now, that’s what I call heaven-defying power!”

In the distance, the Immortals of the many different clans and races cried out in shock at the sight. They once regarded Lu Yuan as a mere junior, but now, they placed him on the same level as themselves, a true peer.

However, what truly disturbed them was the fact that Lu Yuan was still going to become even stronger.

”Aaaaaah! What are you all waiting for?! If you don’t act now, we’ll never achieve our goal! We’ve already tied down Jiang Huanyun. Stop hesitating and come out now!” the Ji Clan’s Holy Son suddenly exclaimed. It seemed he still had one last card up his sleeve!
