Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Jiang Ningxian knew Lu Yuan was strong and talented to the point that it was absurd. Against those at the same stage of evolution as him, he was basically invincible.

He was that way when he was still a Sage and an Undying Immortal. Back when he was still a Sage, he could already crush everyone beneath him. He was the very definition of terrifying.

However, the Grotto-Heaven Realm was a different story, and in the Immortal Realm, every stage apart meant an enormous gap. Jiang Ningxian didn’t deny that he could still be invincible against his peers, but even the formidable Lu Yuan needed time to adapt to his stage of evolution.

He had just become a Grotto-Heaven Immortal, which meant he had yet to acclimatize to his newfound strength. In other words, he would have difficulties unleashing his full strength. Under such conditions, against those who had been Grotto-Heaven Immortals for a very long time, not losing to them would already be a good thing.

Instead of merely winning, Lu Yuan was actually planning on crushing the Grotto-Heaven Immortals here all by himself. Yes, Grotto-Heaven Immortals with an ”s” to denote a plural, and they numbered more than ten as well.

In Jiang Ningxian’s eyes, Lu Yuan’s decision was the definition of madness.

In the end, Jiang Ningxian decided to express her feelings. ”You should ask the Fifth Ancestor for help.”

If Jiang Huanyun were to stand by his side, she could rest assured. If Lu Yuan ended up getting swarmed, he wouldn’t be caught off guard, as Jiang Huanyun would act as his early-warning system.

The others beside her nodded as well. This was serious. They were talking about more than ten Grotto-Heaven Immortals here. If they attacked just one single target at once, that target would be royally screwed—no, they would certainly die, unless they were a Creation Immortal.

Jiang Huanyun chimed in, ”The outcome won’t be decided so quickly. You can afford to wait a bit longer.”

Since Lu Yuan had just made a breakthrough, Jiang Huanyun figured that Lu Yuan had been itching to see how much stronger he had grown, and since he was still young, it was only natural for him to make a mistake in the decision department.

Still, Lu Yuan’s decision was indeed a tad bit too reckless for his liking.

”Let’s do it this way, then. Once you see me struggle, you can step in then, Senior. I’ll also retreat immediately if that happens. How does that sound?” Lu Yuan said.

He knew they were all looking out for him. Truth be told, he badly wanted to tell them that even more than ten Grotto-Heaven Immortals amounted to nothing in his eyes. However, he didn’t want to make them feel too worried about him, so he decided to compromise.

”Battles among Grotto-Heaven Immortals are incredibly dangerous. Considering your fame, they’ll focus on you as soon as you go out there. And once the Ji Clan and the Eternals find an opening, they’ll move in to kill you,” Jiang Huanyun said, trying to convince Lu Yuan out of it. He was a Grotto-Heaven Immortal himself, so he had credibility.

”I understand. I’ll be careful.” Lu Yuan nodded in a serious tone. He hadn’t stated it explicitly, but everyone knew that he had made up his mind.

”Fine,” Jiang Ningxian said, agreeing to it. Still, she added, ”Just know your limits.”

It wasn’t that she doubted Lu Yuan’s strength, but his enemies this time were on a whole new level compared to his enemies so far.

Lu Yuan nodded and stared into the distance, where the Grotto-Heaven Immortals of the two great powers and the other great clans were fighting. He saw that they were all still feeling each other out and had yet to go all out.

Otherwise, their surroundings would have looked much messier.

Lu Yuan turned to look toward where the younger generation, led by Zhu Qingyu, was located. He saw that they were facing the Celestials and the Nether Bulls.

The opponents they had picked were all a notch stronger than themselves. Since neither he nor the Jiang Clan was watching over them, their lives were truly at stake.

However, Lu Yuan was not worried at all. On the contrary, a smile tugged at his lips at the sight. Only in a true fight to the death could they truly be tempered. This was the very reason he had brought the Celestial Court’s members here.

Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Lu Yuan raised his head and fixed his gaze on the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token. Within him, streams of purple energy surged along with his aura. He was going to obtain his fifth token, no matter what.

With that, he stepped forward.

Boom!

Lu Yuan’s golden vital qi burst out. In just a single breath, Lu Yuan was already nearing the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token.

”He actually did it... stop him!”

The Ji Clan and the Eternals noticed him at once. The Ji Clan’s Third Ancestor glared at Lu Yuan murderously. He hadn’t made a move for the token yet, as he had to keep the bigger picture in mind and keep the other Grotto-Heaven Immortals in check.

The sight of Lu Yuan joining in of his own accord gave him an idea. He wanted to turn everyone present against Lu Yuan. Lu Yuan was strong, but he surely wouldn’t be able to withstand the combined attacks of so many Grotto-Heaven Immortals, right?

Sure enough, the Grotto-Heaven Immortals of the other clans and races hurled attacks at Lu Yuan. Their powerful auras blanketed the region where Lu Yuan was located; they wanted to stop him dead in his tracks.

The power of their combined attacks was so strong that even a Creation Immortal would struggle against it. However, Lu Yuan’s gaze didn’t waver at all. He raised his hand and threw out a punch.

BOOM!

Wrapped in golden vital qi, Lu Yuan’s fist generated a massive explosion as soon as it made contact with the oncoming attack. In an instant, the oncoming attack made from the amalgamation of power from more than ten Grotto-Heaven Immortals was forcibly scattered into nothingness.

Then Lu Yuan unceremoniously pressed forward.

The Grotto-Heaven Immortals froze in disbelief, and their faces changed drastically. Then, they set aside their contempt and rushed forward. They had to act now, or the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token would fall into Lu Yuan’s hands.

The Ji Clan’s Third Ancestor remained stupefied. The last time he had seen Lu Yuan, the latter had still been an Undying Immortal. However, the move he had just made emitted the energy fluctuations of a Grotto-Heaven Immortal.

Had Lu Yuan made another breakthrough? But how could that be? It hadn’t been that long since then! He truly found it hard to believe. The next moment, he came to his senses. No matter what, Lu Yuan could not be allowed to obtain that token.

The Eternals, the Ji Clan, and the other Grotto-Heaven Immortals charged straight at Lu Yuan at the same time. As Grotto-Heaven Immortals, crossing the distance between them took only an instant.

Their formidable auras swept across Lu Yuan, forcing him to come to a halt.

Now, they were finally taking him seriously.

”Junior, the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token is not something you can touch.”

”As a member of the younger generation, you should withdraw.”

The Grotto-Heaven Immortals spoke one after another. Even though Lu Yuan had just dispersed their combined attack in one single move, they didn’t believe that he could actually handle them all by himself.

”If you keep being stubborn, then we’ll join forces and deal with you for good,” the Ji Clan’s Third Ancestor said, disregarding the opinion of the other Grotto-Heaven Immortals. He intended to kill Lu Yuan, no matter what!
