Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

As time went on, Lu Yuan could feel the power inside him growing stronger and stronger. At the very end, it broke through every single barrier in his way.

Rumble!

A deafening noise reminiscent of crackling thunder echoed inside him. Lu Yuan found that the power running through him had grown stronger. His soul and his fleshly body—no, every aspect of him, had reached greater heights as well.

He had become dozens of times stronger than when he reached the Undying Immortal Realm. The difference between the two stages was simply stupefying. The results made Lu Yuan understand that there was indeed a huge chasm between every stage in the Immortal Realm. The chasm was so big that even a cream of the crop prodigy would have no way to close such a gap.

By now, Lu Yuan could see it plainly. If he were against a Creation Immortal, he would stand almost no chance of winning. The gap in strength was just that terrifying.

As for the black dragon he had managed to cut down before, it was only made possible by the fact that the black dragon had been in prison for far too long. Its own strength was barely a hundredth of its peak. Even so, the fight had pushed Lu Yuan to use everything he had at his disposal.

The Immortal Realm really is something else. Lu Yuan’s expression changed as he examined his power. It was far more terrifying than before. Now that he had gotten so much stronger, Lu Yuan knew he could draw on a bigger chunk of Providence’s power.

Of course, he would have to pay the same great price, and this was probably due to the fact that the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token believed that even Grotto-Heaven Immortals were paltry figures in the grand scheme of things.

The Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token... His thoughts drifted back to the token, and he let out a sigh. What troubled him most right now was that he had no idea where the rest of it could be. All he could do was take things one step at a time.

He emptied his mind and focused on acclimatizing to his newfound power. Immortals would need more and more time acclimatizing and stabilizing their gains, the stronger they grew. Lu Yuan was aware of that, so he wasn’t in a rush.

With the help of the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token, the digestion phase actually went faster for him than it would for anyone else.

While he was busy digesting his gains, he noticed something. The golden vital qi inside him was changing, taking on a crimson hue. This only happened after his breakthrough into the Grotto-Heaven Realm.

My fleshly body and everything else haven’t really changed. But there’s some strange power inside me. Lu Yuan studied it carefully and found that the change wasn’t a bad thing.

It was his newfound strength affecting his bloodline. The golden color was starting to return to its original shade. This was what people called returning to simplicity.

Indeed, once the process was over, Lu Yuan would truly embark on the path to the apex of evolution.

I didn’t expect this to happen. Lu Yuan shook his head and chuckled. He truly hadn’t expected this. His bloodline had been growing along with his overall strength, and eventually, it would return to simplicity.

Now, the path that he ought to take in the future had gotten even clearer. Lu Yuan emptied his mind again and focused on digesting his gains.

Once he was done, he walked out of the training chambers and discovered that his seclusion had taken three whole months. It seemed like a long time, but for beings at his stage of evolution, it was remarkably short.

It was unimaginable even for a Ranker. Of course, this was all made possible by Lu Yuan’s deep foundations and the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token. It would be stranger if he were still in seclusion.

Word of Lu Yuan leaving seclusion reached Zhu Qingyu and the others. Naturally, they filled him in on everything that had happened recently.

Figures from many different starfields had decided to cooperate with the Celestial Court. They announced joint hunts for fortunes, and some starfields had even brought out the inheritances of their clans for some brownie points.

The Celestial Court would surely become a heavyweight in the universe, and everyone also knew that the Lord of the Celestial Court, Lu Yuan, would become a terrifying powerhouse in the future.

With that in mind, they all knew what they had to do.

More importantly, certain beings who had crossed the Celestial Court before no longer dared to behave as they once had. A great example of that was the Yin Sparrow Race.

The Celestials, who had once looked down on Lu Yuan and Earth, would always choose to go the long way around whenever they caught sight of the Celestial Court’s members.

At this point, none dared to provoke the Celestial Court, especially Lu Yuan, who had obliterated the projections of those two Dao Protectors.

Those Dao Protectors were Creation Immortals. They were beings some starfields had never even seen before. It was fair to say that the Celestial Court was a wholly different organization from what it had been before.

As for the Eternals and the Ji Clan, there were still no movements from them. They acted as if they had forgotten that their Holy Sons were killed by Lu Yuan.

How strange... In Lu Yuan’s opinion, even if those two great powers could remain patient, they couldn’t be patient for so long. It seemed they were plotting something in the shadows.

Of course, the Celestial Court knew nothing of such matters, and he didn’t expect Zhu Qingyu and the others to be able to dig out some information either.

The Celestial Court growing stronger in both numbers and strength told Lu Yuan that the force he had built would one day become a true heavyweight, just as everyone imagined it to be. Still, this was only the beginning.

After giving everyone their own tasks, Lu Yuan went straight to Jiang Ningxian. She hadn’t been in seclusion of late, as she was busy with her own affairs while looking out for certain news from the Outer Cosmos in accordance with what Lu Yuan had asked her to do months ago.

He wasn’t interested in monitoring his so-called enemies. He just wanted to know whether anything had changed in the Outer Cosmos. The Extracosmic Heavenly Demons could descend at any moment, and he had to be the first to know of it.

This time, Lu Yuan had approached Jiang Ningxian to ask what exactly was going on with the two clans. Their behavior was weird, and their actions simply didn’t add up.

To be ready for whatever lay ahead, Lu Yuan had to know more about those two great forces.

When Jiang Ningxian heard Lu Yuan’s question, she revealed a solemn face and nodded. ”I was just about to bring that up with you. The Eternals and the Ji Clan would never pass up a chance to come after you. The only reason they haven’t moved yet is that they’ve found something more important to deal with.”

”Something more important?” At that, Lu Yuan couldn’t help but laugh as he asked, ”Something more important than their Holy Son?”

A Holy Son was the future of their respective clan, yet Jiang Ningxian had actually said that there was something more important than such figures. He couldn’t help but feel curious about it.

”A Holy Son or a Saintess is the strongest of a clan’s younger generation, but the clan doesn’t become crippled even if one of them dies,” Jiang Ningxian said, shaking her head before adding, ”As long as their foundations remain deep, they can raise a second Holy Son or Saintess.”

Lu Yuan naturally wouldn’t argue with that. The Eternals and the Ji Clan had exceedingly deep foundations. Killing their Holy Son couldn’t be considered a heavy blow to them.

”So, what have they found?” Lu Yuan asked, wasting no time.

”It seems to have something to do with the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token!” Jiang Ningxian answered.
