Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

”From here, let’s just wait and see,” Lu Yuan said, deciding to let the matter rest. Everything had already been arranged. All that remained was to wait quietly.

Once those two clans did something, the entire universe would hear of it. At this point, the Ji Clan and the Eternals could no longer keep anything under wraps.

Jiang Ningxian agreed, then added with a solemn face, ”By the way, my clan will be sending another group down soon. When we finally face those two clans, we’ll have more people on our side.

”And famous powerhouses are on their way to the Milky Way Starfield as we speak, and I think they’re here for the Great Age’s Providence as well, not just for the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token.”

Among those powerhouses were Creation Immortals and even Celestial Seat Immortals. Across the whole universe, beings like them could be considered to be at the apex.

Jiang Ningxian even suspected that Starfield Lords[1] would appear at some point. A Starfield Lord was the ruler of a starfield, and each one was a powerhouse without equal. The lords of the top ten starfields were even more terrifying, standing almost at the peak of the Immortal Realm.

Those were the ones they truly had to worry about. Figures like that were unimaginably powerful. If such a being set its sights on the Milky Way Starfield or the Celestial Court, it would be in deep trouble.

The Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token and the Great Age’s Providence. It seemed Earth had truly become everyone’s target.

”What’s bound to come will come. The Separation of Heaven and Earth is fading, and there’s nothing we can do to stop it.” Lu Yuan shook his head, knowing they would have to face such beings in the future. Naturally, he remained unafraid, as he was planning to take advantage of the remaining time to become even stronger.

He was more worried about the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons. He planned to grow as strong as he could during this period of peace. Lu Yuan hoped to reach the Creation Realm, or even the Celestial Seat Realm, while things were relatively peaceful.

Unfortunately, Lu Yuan couldn’t take his sweet time. He would have to make use of external tools to become even stronger as soon as possible. The Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token was one of them. In fact, he already had four of them.

Lu Yuan was looking forward to what changes the fifth token would bring. Even if it did little for his evolution, at the very least, he could use the token to mobilize more power of Providence.

If he were to run into a powerhouse he couldn’t handle himself, the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token was going to be his trump card. His keen instincts also told him never to mobilize the power of Providence unless his life was at stake.

There were enemies everywhere, and some of them remained unseen, but Lu Yuan wasn’t the least discouraged. In fact, he became even more ravenous at his preparations for the future. After all, he had always been this kind of person.

”I understand.” Jiang Ningxian went silent. After that, the two of them went to prepare for what came next. Jiang Ningxian’s task was the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token. While reaching out to her clan, she also gathered news from all over the place.

As for Lu Yuan, he went to bestow Providence upon more people, and he also blessed the beast kings led by the Golden-Winged Great Peng. He hoped that they could take another step forward soon.

Just like that, time ticked by slowly, but the rumor about the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token continued to spread. Those from the Outer Cosmos watched closely, hoping to be the first to catch a lead.

They all knew that the Ji Clan and the Eternals were going to Mount Emei, but no one made a move first. The reason behind it was simple. By now, everyone’s eyes were on Mount Emei. Making the first move meant becoming the target of everyone, so who would dare do that?

As such, the formidable clans and races remained patient. Naturally, they were hoping that the Ji Clan and the Eternals would move first, as it would prove that the rumor wasn’t a mere rumor, but a fact.

Their decision forced the Eternals and the Ji Clan into a corner. From the start, they had wanted to settle the matter in secret. The reason they hadn’t moved was that they were waiting to see who would break the stalemate first. Against their expectations, the others actually had patience to spare.

Since no one was moving, the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token would fall into no one’s hands, but their inaction introduced a new problem. Delay meant that things would become more complicated, and no one could promise that this standoff would last forever.

If someone employed a special technique or art to snatch the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token from under everyone’s noses, all their earlier work would be in vain. Left with no better choice, the Ji Clan and the Eternals decided to act.

Even if things became chaotic, they would have no issues dealing with that chaos as long as they were strong enough to do so. Having made up their mind, the Ji Clan and the Eternals finally made a move!

On the same day, Lu Yuan learned of their movement. With everyone’s eyes fixed on them, all of their movements were bound to be found out.

”So it has finally begun.” Lu Yuan smiled at the report.

”Yes. Looks like it’s our turn to move as well,” Jiang Ningxian said from beside him. They were already prepared. The Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token was extremely important, and there could not be the slightest mistake when it came to it.

On Lu Yuan’s orders, a huge number of Celestial Court members gathered. Anyone fit to join the operation had to be a Sage, at least. Those too weak would be no help even if they came along.

Elder Ji, Elder Yun, and the others had retired long ago. When they heard the news, however, they chose to come and see the group off. This time was different from before. In the past, the Celestial Court never had the initiative.

Today, things had changed. They now had the initiative in their hands. More importantly, they would once again be contending with the beings from the Outer Cosmos. This was the Celestial Court’s first battle in a while, and it meant a lot to its members.

Zhu Qingyu, Ice Fairy, the Peacock King, the Golden-Winged Great Peng, and the rest all gathered at the Trials Academy. This would be a free-for-all. Everyone could take part, and that in itself would be a kind of trial.

Many of them were itching to give it a go. In the past, they had always been under Lu Yuan’s protection. The Celestial Court had no issues when it came to their top-tier combatants, but as for their mid-tier combatants, their prowess would soon be made clear.

The Celestial Court had no Immortals yet, except for Lu Yuan. Fortunately, the Jiang Clan was here to make up the difference, so there were no issues at all.

In a plaza within the Trials Academy, the members of the Celestial Court murmured among themselves. Mount Tai was a long way from Mount Emei, and those two clans had already made their move. Those beings from the Outer Cosmos had to be already there as well.

Many were worried that they would miss out on many things, even if they were to set off for Mount Emei at their fastest speed. While the majority of them looked worried, some of them remained perfectly calm.

Soon, Lu Yuan and Jiang Ningxian arrived, with Jiang Haokong following behind them. Seeing that everyone had gathered, Lu Yuan said nothing and simply raised his hand.

With one finger held out like a sword, he drew a line across the void before him.

Boom!

The next moment, a huge gash appeared in midair—the void itself was torn open!
