Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Powerful energies continuously emanated outward. A majestic aura surged, filling the room.

If it had been an ordinary person, they would not have been able to withstand it. But at this moment, Lu Yuan sat cross-legged within it, unmoving as a mountain. Golden vital qi also surfaced around him.

His blood began continuously pouring into the two cauldrons, and the power surging around them became even denser than before. A mysterious power flowed out. It carried no pressure, yet instead seemed able to calm the agitation in one’s heart.

It was as though with it present, all turmoil could be pacified. The feeling was extremely peculiar.

The Nine Cauldrons were originally artifacts meant to stabilize the nation.

When Yu the Great forged them, it was for the sake of establishing order under heaven so that the people would no longer suffer from war.

Now that I am refining them, the Providence within them is being fully released. It is normal for this sort of feeling to arise.

Lu Yuan pondered inwardly. This was something he had never experienced when refining the previous cauldrons. He supposed it was the result of having completely gathered all nine.

The final two cauldrons before him were the Yanzhou Cauldron and the Jizhou Cauldron. Completely gathering them represented the nine provinces returning to one. The nine provinces were also Huaxia.

Thus, Lu Yuan was extremely attentive during the refining process. He clearly sensed every portion of that power, hoping to perceive more from within it, especially information of greater importance.

Slowly, as time passed, that Providence became even stronger and more surging than before, filling the entire room.

At the same time, Lu Yuan discovered that because of the continuous refinement of these final two cauldrons, the Investiture Edict also began emitting radiance. More importantly, even the purple qi surging over the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token grew denser.

What sort of power lay within the Nine Cauldrons? He understood that more clearly than anyone. It was the Providence of humanity.

But why would this power cause even the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token to show signs of change?

Although Lu Yuan did not quite understand, he was certain of one thing. It was precisely because the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token existed that he had a way to guide that Providence. Otherwise, even if he gathered the Nine Cauldrons, he would have no way to use them.

Could it be that what the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token represents is actually the Celestial Emperor? The Celestial Emperor used the human race’s Providence to confer titles upon living creatures and establish the Celestial Court? Sensing this power, Lu Yuan continued thinking.

It seemed he had found the connection between the Nine Cauldrons and the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token. Of course, all of this was still only conjecture. There was no way to confirm it. However, that was nothing to him. He still had time.

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Just as he was continuously thinking, the remaining two Nine Tripod Cauldrons were finally refined. Like the previous ones, they transformed into patterns and merged into the Investiture Edict.

Immediately afterward, another powerful force surged out from within it.

In an instant, Lu Yuan discovered that the Providence on the edict had grown stronger. The patterns of the Nine Tripod Cauldrons upon it seemed to have completely fused together. As a result, the Providence that suddenly erupted directly reached a terrifying level.

Every name on it emitted light, each as dazzling as a star. At the very top, the two words ”Emperor Yuan” were like an eternal, undying great sun.

This was the effect brought about by that Providence.

What shocked Lu Yuan even more was that this Providence was truly too powerful. It had reached an unimaginable degree. A large portion of it remained entirely upon the edict and had not been used.

”The Nine Tripod Cauldrons suppress the Providence of the human race. Could this be the Providence of the entire human race?”

Lu Yuan was stunned and found it truly inconceivable, because it was indeed shocking. He could sense it very clearly. If he had a method to control all of this power, it would be terrifying.

So this was the effect of gathering the Nine Tripod Cauldrons? The power of Providence had completely recovered, and it had reached an unimaginable degree.

After seeing it, Lu Yuan was shaken as well.

Although refining these two Nine Tripod Cauldrons did not bring much improvement to his own realm or strength, it did allow him to sense the power of Providence. Lu Yuan was very clear that this Providence could definitely help him do many things, such as investiture of gods and even fighting enemies.

That was right. Once Providence became powerful enough, it could be drawn out. It could even strengthen his battle prowess. The more he used, the stronger his battle prowess would become.

Unfortunately, after observing it, Lu Yuan discovered that he could currently use only a portion of this Providence. The reason was very simple. The Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token could do no more than that.

The use of Providence did not have much to do with his own strength. The fundamental reason was that he had not collected enough fragments of the Ancient Token. This meant that although he clearly possessed a powerful force, he had no way to use it fully.

After learning this, Lu Yuan was indeed somewhat disappointed, but that was all. He did not take it completely to heart.

Powerful strength was certainly tempting, but it also had its downsides. It could easily make one lose oneself within it. Consider this: if an ordinary person suddenly became a billionaire, without a powerful will, that would not be a good thing. Instead, it would become a kind of disaster, because they would be unable to control it.

Lu Yuan roughly estimated that even the portion of power he could currently use would be quite difficult to employ in full. Even if he could use it, it would likely cause him some harm.

Even so, Lu Yuan was still very pleased, because after refining these two cauldrons, he had gained another trump card. This Providence had arrived at the perfect time.

He made a rough estimate. If he used a portion of it, then even when facing a Grotto-Heaven Immortal, he could remain undefeated. If he used even more, he might even be able to kill an existence of that level.

Of course, he would still need to pay some price. After all, this was not power that belonged to him.

But all of this was already enough for Lu Yuan.

”Providence. The Providence of the human race. What connection does this have with the so-called Great Age’s Providence?”

Lu Yuan pondered. In his heart, he felt that all of this seemed vaguely linked. There was an indescribable relationship between them, yet it was difficult to link them together, as though a crucial clue was missing.

Shaking his head, he stopped thinking about it and stood up directly.

Refining the final two Nine Tripod Cauldrons this time had seemed very fast. In fact, it had taken several months. At present, Lu Yuan was not yet very clear on the situation outside.

Not long after he walked out the door, he sensed several auras continuously approaching. They belonged to Zhu Qingyu and the others, as well as Jiang Ningxian. It seemed they had already been waiting for him to emerge from seclusion for some time.

Seeing this, Lu Yuan could not help but feel puzzled.

Has something happened?

At once, he did not hesitate and asked directly.

Hearing him, Zhu Qingyu nodded. ”For some reason, the great battles among the major clans of the various starfields have begun to subside. They are no longer as frequent. Some people have even begun probing toward the five supercities.”

This matter was very serious, and they could not decide what to do.

However, Lu Yuan did not answer. Instead, he turned to look at Jiang Ningxian, knowing that she must have even more important information.
