Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Lu Yuan was not afraid to fight mere avatars of those two Holy Sons, but his true goal was to make a breakthrough into the Immortal Realm. Under those circumstances, the most critical thing was to bring every aspect of himself to perfection, maintain it, and then make a breakthrough during the battle itself.

Just as he had said, everything was ready. All he needed now were the opponents.

His earlier fight with Xuanci had appeared swift, but in truth, he had still gleaned insights from it. He now had a clearer understanding of his own strength. The Buddha’s Palm Domain was only a single divine ability, yet he had drawn upon his true power to cast it. Had he not, he could never have defeated Xuanci so easily.

After all, Xuanci was a Great Sage prodigy ranked in the top three in the Sukhāvatī Starfield.

Through that battle, Lu Yuan came to understand something even more important. Having trump cards did not make someone invincible; what truly mattered was having the mindset of someone truly invincible. In fact, the saying, ”absolute power shatters ten thousand techniques,” was born from that.

With that, Lu Yuan focused entirely on his cultivation. This time, he examined every aspect of himself, ensuring that nothing was overlooked.

As time trickled past, the world outside became more chaotic. Ever since the Celestial Court had pulled back its forces, the beings from the Outer Cosmos had grown bolder. They frequented blessed lands across the world, hunting for their boons and fortunes.

Since Earth was still in the early stages of the Global Awakening, there were plenty of spiritual fruits and exotic herbs to obtain, along with various visualization methods and breathing techniques.

Thanks to the blessing of Providence, Earth became a land of fortune, and the invaders from the Outer Cosmos profited greatly from its resources.

In other words, Earth had become a resource-rich territory. Its foundations were lacking, but as a place to grow stronger, it was the best place to be.

The Celestial Court’s officials and its divisions were vexed, but there was nothing they could do. The two Holy Sons from those two great clans were the top priority. If that problem was not resolved, nothing else would matter.

Everyone was preparing for what was to come, and no one knew exactly what they would face. On the surface, they only had to face two Holy Sons, but judging from the steady stream of invaders these days, the situation was clearly far from being that simple.

While the Celestial Court braced itself, something else was happening in the solar system. Streaks of radiant light flew across the void, and each streak of light emanated power that made even celestial bodies tremble.

Those figures stopped just above Earth, and some of them would descend on Earth from time to time.

The Separation of Heaven and Earth was growing weaker. It had long since lost the ability to stop Great Sages. Moreover, they had recently learned that Earth’s Awakening had allowed it to produce spiritual fruits, exotic herbs, and even legacies from the ancient era, so the temptation to descend was irresistible.

”It’s been over a month. It should be about time,” the Holy Son of the Eternals remarked. He turned his gaze on the dark void in the distance. A contemplative light flashed in his gaze. It had been more than a month since the Holy Son of the Ji Clan left the Milky Way Starfield. At this point, he had to be close and had already entered the Milky Way Starfield.

At this point, he could hardly wait.

Buzz!

Just as the thought crossed his mind, the void trembled, and a boundless aura erupted. As the stars shook and countless bolts of lightning tore through the expanse, a figure appeared—the Holy Son of the Ji Clan. He stood beside the Holy Son of the Eternals and calmly looked down at Earth.

”Everything on my end is ready. What about you?” he asked, and a trace of eagerness flickered in his gaze. He was raring to kill Lu Yuan. In his mind, every day that man remained alive was another day he grew closer to becoming a threat, which was simply unacceptable.

”I’m ready as well. I can move at any time,” the Holy Son of the Eternals replied. A month was long enough.

”Good,” the Holy Son of the Ji Clan replied and quietly stepped forward. There was a mysterious seal in his hand. It was impossible to tell what material it was made from. It was no larger than a palm, yet it seemed exceedingly heavy.

The seal gave the impression that it weighed more than celestial bodies.

The Holy Son of the Ji Clan channeled his power into the seal. Then he pierced his own skin and let his blood flow into it as well.

”This seal was left behind by an ancestor of my Ji Clan. Only those who carry our blood can activate it; no one else can.”

With that, he sat cross-legged as a peculiar light shrouded him. Moments later, a beam of light erupted from the seal, and it shot directly toward Earth.

On the planet’s surface, a boundless sea of golden runes materialized, attempting to block the beam of light, but it seemed to carry the same kind of power as those runes. It encountered no resistance. Instead, it assimilated some of those runes.

”So that’s how you open a passageway,” the Holy Son of the Eternals said, nodding. He more or less understood the principle behind how it worked. He also understood why the Holy Son of the Ji Clan had to use his own blood.

It made sense. The Ji Clan had originally migrated out of the Milky Way Starfield, and the clan’s connection to Earth was most likely the key. At this point, all that remained was to wait.

The Holy Son of the Eternals quietly stood in place, but he was not idle. He began separating a portion of his power. Even if the Ji Clan could open a passageway, the Separation of Heaven and Earth still stood before them.

It was made by the ancient powerhouses of the Milky Way Starfield, and those beings had surely anticipated this move of theirs. Moreover, it was not yet time for Immortals to descend on Earth.

An unknown amount of time later, the beam of light emanating from the seal grew brighter. The Holy Son of the Ji Clan poured more and more power into it, but the expenditure was manageable, as he had long become an Immortal.

At the same time, the beings from the Outer Cosmos noticed that the beam had assimilated a great number of golden runes and was slowly descending on Earth. In addition, the beam of light had begun to transform into a passageway.

”As expected of the Ji Clan that once produced a Human Sovereign. How formidable indeed.”

The powerhouses of the clans and races from the Outer Cosmos stared in astonishment. Breaking through the Separation of Heaven and Earth was impossible for them. All they could do was wait for its power to dissipate.

After all, the Milky Way Starfield had once ranked among the top ten and was arguably the strongest starfield in the universe. Its glory had long faded away, but it could not be underestimated at all. Of course, all of that was in the past now.

Once Lu Yuan was dead at the hands of those two Holy Sons, Earth would soon fall under their control.
