Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Since both sides had long since decided to unite, they would face any dangers together.

Jiang Ningxian knew that their coming enemies were unlike any they had dealt with before. As such, it would be very difficult for Lu Yuan to deal with them by himself. Moreover, she didn’t want Lu Yuan to carry all the risks by himself. She wanted to lighten his burdens.

For her, the only thing holding her back was this world itself. Jiang Ningxian had found the path to the Immortal Realm long ago. Unfortunately, the Separation of Heaven and Earth was still around, preventing her from making a breakthrough, even though she could attempt to do so.

Since this was an issue concerning her environment, she could just leave the Milky Way Starfield and make a breakthrough back in the Outer Cosmos. However, this wasn’t the real issue here. The issue was that she would need some time to get used to her newfound power upon becoming an Immortal.

Becoming an Immortal wouldn’t mean much if she couldn’t expertly wield her power. Moreover, the gap between one Immortal and another was huge. In addition, transcendence itself wasn’t going to happen in an instant.

Hence, Jiang Ningxian was now grappling with a problem: how was she going to transcend quickly and acclimatize to an Immortal’s power before their enemies could descend on Earth? Figuring that out alone would be nearly impossible.

There was also another issue. Every Immortal was not the same. Someone who scraped through after countless years of effort was nothing compared to a true prodigy. In potential and in power, the difference between them was humongous.

Jiang Ningxian was keenly aware of it. It was precisely the reason why she, and every prodigy from the major clans and races, had refrained from making a breakthrough into the Immortal Realm despite having the strength and foundation to do so.

The Immortal Realm was simply too important. Everyone who had reached that realm had poured enormous effort and dedication into the journey. No one dared to be careless when it came to transcendence.

Still, the Jiang Clan was a great power, and in this regard, they possessed a wealth of records left behind by their predecessors. Jiang Ningxian also knew that Lu Yuan’s next goal was to become an Immortal. Hence, she brought out a portion of those records and shared them with him. Then they discussed them together.

As for Jiang Haokong, he remained in seclusion. He was clearly determined to use this window of opportunity to make a push into the Immortal Realm.

The Great Age had truly arrived. The strongest young talents from across the entire universe, as well as the Holy Sons and Saintesses of formidable clans and races, would all converge on Earth.

A world-shaking battle was inevitable. Everyone knew that, including Zhu Qingyu and the others. They knew that whoever distinguished themselves in the upcoming battle would become a terrifying powerhouse whose name would echo across the universe.

They’d become someone who could influence even the universe itself.

Under Lu Yuan’s orders, the Celestial Court’s consolidation of forces continued. As time went on, they focused on digesting their gains and strengthening themselves. The results were impressive, and everyone made significant progress.

During this period of time, Lu Yuan chose not to enter seclusion. At his level, it wouldn’t do much for him. Instead, he took advantage of the respite to learn about the intricate affairs of the Outer Cosmos. He learned about the strength of the major clans and races as well as their secrets.

The universe had a myriad starfields full of life, but not every starfield contained beings capable of walking the path of evolution. In truth, the number of starfields where one could train and evolve was remarkably small, not even one percent of the total starfields out there.

Of course, even one percent, measured against the scale of the universe, was still a staggering number. Among that fraction, those that could rank in the top one hundred were even fewer. In short, the universe was boundlessly vast.

Earth just needed a handful more top-tier Awakened, and they could contest for a position in the top hundred starfield. Of course, there was a huge gap between each starfield, even in the top hundred rankings, but Lu Yuan didn’t particularly care about the rankings.

What mattered most to him was the organizations and forces across the major starfields, especially the top ten. Only by thoroughly understanding one’s opponents could one devise the best strategies against them.

There was also something else on his mind. If he could unite all those forces under a single banner, he would be able to spare himself a huge headache by the time the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons attacked them.

Indeed, Lu Yuan’s plans already covered the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

One powerful aura after another materialized in the vacuum of the solar system, accompanied by bolts of lightning that stretched for tens of thousands of meters.

The auras came from formidable beings that gazed at the planet teeming with life below them. The Holy Sons of the Eternals and the Ji Clan stood at the helm of the group. After entering the solar system, they looked at Earth in silence. They spoke nothing and simply emanated the aura of an Immortal to test the waters.

Rumble!

The instant their auras made contact with Earth, golden runes manifested in the void in rapid succession. Even the aura of an Immortal stood no chance against those runes.

”The Separation of Heaven and Earth is still protecting this planet.” The Ji Clan’s Holy Son shook his head at the sight, but he seemed to have expected as much. His clan had come from Earth, and the ones who had laid down the Separation of Heaven and Earth were even connected to the Ji Clan’s ancestors.

He was powerless to do anything about it, and he felt deeply frustrated at the reality of things. Had it not been for the Separation of Heaven and Earth, he would have descended on Earth a long time ago.

”From what I can tell, it’s not going to disappear anytime soon,” the Eternals’ Holy Son said. He paused to think, then continued. ”Great Sages can descend, but that Lu Yuan is already a Great Sage. He’s extremely powerful, so sending more people down is going to be pointless. It has to be us who should go down there.”

One of his objectives in coming to this world was to eliminate Lu Yuan. The Eternals could not afford to suffer more losses at the hands of such a man, and the deaths of their clansmen had to be avenged.

However, the Eternals’ Holy Son was also aware of Lu Yuan’s rapid growth rate. If they didn’t act soon, Lu Yuan would eventually reach the Immortal realm. When that happened, perhaps even he could no longer restrain Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan could not be left alive.

The most pressing concern was circumventing the restriction of the Separation of Heaven and Earth. Unfortunately, this barrier was made by the sages of the Milky Way Starfield a long time ago. The Eternal Race could go all-out in destroying it, but they would have to pay an unimaginable price.

As for himself alone, there was simply nothing he could do about the Separation of Heaven and Earth. He cast his gaze on the Ji Clan’s Holy Son. The Ji Clan was from the Milky Way Starfield, and their ties to this world ran deep.
