Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

How... was this even possible? The two Holy Sons shared the same thought. Neither could bring themselves to believe it. They were already among the most gifted and powerful beings in the entire universe.

Greatness lay ahead of them without question, and they probably had a chance to reach the apex of evolution, yet despite their talent and strength, they were being crushed. Compared to Lu Yuan, they hardly looked like prodigies.

Beings of their caliber carried immense pride. They believed that they were so strong that no one could match them among their peers, and this belief was the very foundation of their arrogance.

They were supposed to be the strongest among their peers, but today, someone had overwhelmed them with ease. How could the two Holy Sons not feel shaken? And how could they possibly accept this outcome?

But whether they accepted it or not, it had happened and was a fact. Once Lu Yuan was done reveling in his brand-new power, he turned his gaze to the two Holy Sons. He had no intention of wasting any more time.

He started walking toward them and calmly said, ”It’s time to put this to rest.”

His voice was a stark contrast to his roars not too long ago. He had reached his goal, the Immortal Realm, so he calmed down, becoming as serene as a placid lake.

”It seems we failed to take everything into account,” the Holy Son of the Eternals remarked. The situation had truly exceeded his expectations. In the end, he looked at Lu Yuan and said, ”But you should know that you still can’t defeat our true selves.”

Among newly minted Immortals, perhaps Lu Yuan was stronger, but the Holy Son of the Eternals had been in the Immortal Realm for quite some time now. With that in mind, he believed that he was still stronger than Lu Yuan, but at the same time, someone like him could never admit that he was weaker than someone else.

Lu Yuan seemed entirely unmoved. His expression carried neither sorrow nor joy as he said, ”That means nothing to me.”

He stepped forward, and a fierce aura erupted from him. It was laced with dense, unmistakable killing intent, which was directed straight at the Holy Son of the Eternals.

The face of the Eternals’ Holy Son changed drastically. Fury burned inside him, but he knew that this was not the time for any false bravado. He had to escape as soon as possible. ”Let’s go!”

The reason even an avatar warranted this level of fear was simple. These avatars carried the wills of both Holy Sons. If they were destroyed, the backlash on their true bodies would be severe.

The Holy Son of the Ji Clan did not hesitate either. He unleashed his power, and the two fled in opposite directions, hoping to split Lu Yuan’s attention. However, Lu Yuan seemed to have anticipated their move.

He opened his palm, and the skies dimmed. A massive palm materialized in midair. It was so huge that it seemed there was no way to escape it, even if one were to run to the ends of the earth.

Before the two Holy Sons could react, Lu Yuan pressed down.

BOOM!

A deafening explosion echoed as the two Holy Sons felt a crushing pressure descend on them. The next moment, they could no longer move; they were locked in place.

At the Great Sage Realm, one could make use of space to a certain extent, and upon becoming an Immortal, Lu Yuan’s ability to make use of space had gotten even stronger.

Combined with the fact that his strength had completely surpassed both avatars, suppressing them was naturally effortless. Just as the two of them had predicted, they were completely dominated by Lu Yuan.

”It’s over.”

Lu Yuan turned toward the Holy Son of the Eternals’ avatar and sent a punch.

Splat!

The avatar shattered into pieces, and every trace of its power dissipated into nothingness.

”Argh!” The Eternals’ Holy Son staggered from the massive backlash, and blood streamed down his nose and mouth. ”How dare he...”

His face twisted with fury, and he glared down at Earth as the impulse to descend in flesh surged through him. In the end, he held back and stood in place. The Separation of Heaven and Earth was still there.

If he moved recklessly, even he could die down there.

Down below, the Holy Son of the Ji Clan watched as the avatar of the Eternals’ Holy Son dissolved into nothingness. He looked at Lu Yuan and said, ”Your strength has truly exceeded my expectations. You are the most formidable opponent I have ever faced, but as I have always said, every enemy I have encountered has turned to dust. And you will be no different.”

Running was pointless; the Holy Son of the Ji Clan knew that, but his pride would not allow him to yield. In the end, he decided to remain defiant.

”That doesn’t concern me,” replied Lu Yuan. His tone of voice was as light as a passing breeze. Without any fanfare, he threw another punch.

Splat!

The Holy Son of the Ji Clan’s avatar scattered into nothingness as well. He could display strength similar to an Immortal, but so what? In the end, he was reduced to nothing.

Having dealt with his enemies, Lu Yuan pulled all of his power back in. He surveyed the area around him, chuckled, and said, ”If any of you wish to make a move, go ahead. If you’d rather keep watching, that’s fine, too. But I’ll only give you three breaths.”

When his words fell, every aura in the vicinity vanished, and not a single one of those from the Outer Cosmos dared to act. Even the two Holy Sons had failed to kill Lu Yuan, so what could they possibly do?

Moreover, the Lu Yuan standing before them was a fundamentally different being compared to the Lu Yuan prior to this battle. In many starfields, an Immortal was an apex-level being, and the sight of Lu Yuan becoming an Immortal told them one thing—the Milky Way Starfield was truly about to rise once again.

An Immortal’s importance was on an entirely different level compared to a Sage’s. When Lu Yuan had reached the Sage Realm, the beings from the Outer Cosmos finally started taking him seriously, as Sages were considered experts even in the wider universe.

However, an Immortal was a true powerhouse. Indeed, Lu Yuan, whose name had already spread across the Outer Cosmos, had just become a true powerhouse, even among the older generation of the Outer Cosmos. His talent and strength now stood at the apex in many starfields.

Moreover, he had just defeated those two Holy Sons.

The invaders from the Outer Cosmos now regarded the Milky Way Starfield as a starfield on the same level as their own. After all, the birth of a single Immortal in the Milky Way Starfield demanded respect, but of course, Lu Yuan couldn’t care less about their opinions and reactions.

Once he confirmed that every nearby aura had disappeared, he stepped forward and returned to Mount Tai in a flash. Elder Ji, Elder Yun, Zhu Qingyu, the rest of the youngsters, and the Jiang Clan members were all waiting for him.

They all stared at him with shock written across their faces. When the battle had begun, Lu Yuan instantly found himself at a disadvantage, eliciting nervousness from Zhu Qingyu and the others. However, none of them had imagined that King Lu would reverse the tides in the proverbial blink of an eye.

The most stunned of all was Jiang Haokong. Even now, disbelief still lingered in his eyes, along with traces of what seemed like exhaustion. To think Lu Yuan would surpass him once again...
