Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

The Eternals and the Ji Clan were two of the most powerful clans in the universe. They each commanded a vast starfield, and their foundations were nothing short of terrifying. The number of clans and races that had pledged allegiance to them was beyond counting, and no one dared to cross them.

Wherever their clansmen went, they were treated with the utmost respect, as they were simply too powerful.

Aside from other starfields in the top ten, the Eternals and the Ji Clans could be said to be the leaders of all other clans and races. As such, the members of the Ji Clan and the Eternals had always carried themselves with the attitude and bearing of a superior being wherever they went.

No one had ever dared to say a word against them, yet Lu Yuan had easily subdued them all. None of them had any power to resist.

Lu Yuan’s overwhelming strength had left them with nothing else to do but endure it quietly. These two clans ranked among the top ten in the universe, but their members hadn’t been able to do anything about Lu Yuan.

Needless to say, their dignity and honor were in ruins. Nothing like this had ever happened before. Even their Holy Sons’ projections had been shattered, and all they could do was accept it in silence.

Their two great clans were dominated by a lone man. They truly had no idea what to say. However, today’s result made them even more certain of one thing—Lu Yuan could not be allowed to live.

Perhaps only the heavens knew what kind of monster Lu Yuan would become if he were allowed to grow unchecked. Before he became a true monster, he had to be dealt with.

Fortunately, their two Holy Sons had noticed him, and in three days, there would be a great battle between both sides.

The people from both clans chose to leave quietly. After all, none of them could say whether Lu Yuan would change his mind or not.

Down below on Mount Tai, Lu Yuan touched down looking the same as always with no traces of any emotion on his face. Even after destroying the projections of both Holy Sons and single-handedly intimidating their people, he remained as calm as ever, as if the feat meant nothing to him.

”All right, we’re going back. Nothing else is going to happen for now,” Lu Yuan said, shaking his head with a smile upon seeing everyone’s stunned faces. He knew exactly why those two clans had appeared. They had come here to intimidate them, but as long as he was on Earth, they could never intimidate his people.

”We’ll do as you wish, King Lu.”

Naturally, the others had nothing to say. From the two Holy Sons’ earlier words, they knew that the real battle would be in three days. It would be the real test, so they dispersed without hesitation to prepare.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ningxian stayed in place, staring at Lu Yuan. It seemed like she wanted to say something, but in the end, no words came out of her mouth.

The situation had already reached the point of no return. The battle in three days could not be avoided. All she could do was help the Celestial Court and Earth. The two exchanged a quiet nod, and then they left side by side.

In outer space, the Holy Son of the Eternals and the Holy Son of the Ji Clan opened their eyes and looked at each other. Killing intent was written across both their faces.

”I knew he was bold and arrogant, but I never expected him to be that arrogant. How dare he attack our projections? Later, we cannot give him an easy death. Otherwise, the universe will think that the two of us can be trampled at will,” the Holy Son of the Eternals remarked, his tone of voice as frigid as an icy cavern. His projection contained a small fragment of his own will.

In other words, Lu Yuan had technically killed him.

”We’ve gone all-out, so our will be as strong as a first-stage Immortal Realm expert,” the Holy Son of the Ji Clan replied. He had never underestimated Lu Yuan. Lu Yuan was formidable, and there was a chance that he had already obtained a wisp of Great Age Providence, which would make him even harder to kill.

Even if they could not descend in their own flesh, the avatars they sent had to be powerful enough to deal with Lu Yuan. As prodigies among prodigies, they were confident that their avatar harboring strength at the first stage of the Immortal Realm could easily defeat an ordinary Immortal.

In their eyes, three days were nothing. They could definitely wait.

”This battle will draw the attention of the entire universe,” the Holy Son of the Eternals remarked and closed his eyes to continue with his preparations. He was not willing to leave any room for error. He was proud, but he was not reckless.

The two of them had already decided that they would not leave Lu Yuan a single opening to exploit.

Soon, the void above the Earth fell silent once again. In stark contrast, the civilians and Awakened of Earth were ecstatic. They had witnessed the two Holy Sons’ arrival with their people and their failed attempt to force the Celestial Court and Lu Yuan into submission.

Lu Yuan struck back, leaving with nothing but their dignity in ruins.

The civilians and Awakened alike believed that there was nothing to fear when those two great clans could not even intimidate Lu Yuan. They believed things would be fine, even when those so-called Holy Sons were to descend for real.

Just as Lu Yuan had anticipated, his actions had given everyone a huge boost in confidence.

As for those from the Outer Cosmos, they were stunned. None of them had expected Lu Yuan to attack the projections of the two Holy Sons. In addition to their shock, they became filled with anticipation. Lu Yuan’s brazen attack had to have enraged those two Holy Sons.

Once their avatars were here, those two would surely hold nothing back against Lu Yuan. After all, if they still couldn’t kill Lu Yuan, their clans’ reputations would be in tatters, and for clans ranked among the top ten in the universe, that was simply unacceptable.

If even the two Holy Sons fell short, the elders and perhaps even domain lord-level figures would probably step in. Otherwise, wouldn’t they become a laughingstock in the universe?

Amidst these two different sets of expectations, three days passed in the proverbial blink of an eye. On the day the two Holy Sons had chosen to descend in their avatars, the world seemed no different from any other day.

The boundless skies appeared clear with no clouds whatsoever.

Rumble!

All of a sudden, violent tremors shook the heavens, and lightning flooded the endless sky. Wave after wave of terrifying aura slowly descended, making everyone feel as if they were about to witness the apocalypse.

At the same time, the Holy Son of the Eternals and the Holy Son of the Ji Clan opened their eyes. From within each of them, an avatar stepped out. The two avatars solidified until they appeared real. They looked as if they truly had souls as they walked toward the passageway to Earth.

These two were the avatars of the two Holy Sons, and they had a substantial portion of their original bodies’ power. Their auras didn’t belong to those at the first stage of the Immortal Realm, but they had already reached that level of strength.

”Today, Lu Yuan is going to die,” the two avatars declared at the same time.
