Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Powerful auras converged right above Earth, leaving trails of radiant light behind them, briefly painting the deathly silent outer space. Every eye was fixed on the blue life-bearing planet down below. There, golden runes churned and spread into what looked like a boundless sea—this was the Separation of Heaven and Earth.

As long as those runes endured, the living beings of this planet would remain shielded from invaders.

Today, however, a single beam of light pierced the boundless sea of golden, assimilating the innumerable runes before reshaping them into a passageway. Through that passageway, the invaders could descend on Earth.

Of course, circumventing the Separation of Heaven and Earth was different from breaking it. In other words, its restraining effect remained. But even so, it was already a big deal. For the two Holy Sons, at least, it was more than sufficient.

”It seems those two from the Ji Clan and the Eternals have actually decided to go all-in.”

”Even if they can’t descend in the flesh, the ability to actually cast their power down is already terrifying.”

”We should prepare as well. Pass down my orders. When the time comes, let’s go down there and see if we can grab something for ourselves.”

The beings from the Outer Cosmos watched as the passageway took shape, and nearly every one of them had goals of their own. They had already sent their people down, but the results had been negligible.

Naturally, it was Lu Yuan’s fault. The man was far too powerful with a forceful nature. They couldn’t do anything about him. Of course, they had no plans of just taking blows forever.

The decision of the two Holy Sons to go all-out just to kill Lu Yuan was a golden opportunity for them to seize. Once he was dead, everything would become far easier for them to take. Since those two had made a move, Lu Yuan would definitely die, regardless of his incredible strength.

Lu Yuan evolved at a terrifying pace, and he had never once been defeated since his rise, but those two Holy Sons were the same. They were prodigies beyond prodigies like Lu Yuan, but they were a whole evolution stage above him.

In the minds of these onlookers, the two Holy Sons would succeed without question. Now, they had to think about what came after Lu Yuan’s death—how would they divide this world’s resources among themselves?

This was the true reason they had come here.

The Holy Son of the Eternals knew what they were thinking, but he couldn’t care less. He only had one objective—to kill Lu Yuan. Everything else was insignificant.

The legacies, the fortunes, and whatever Earth had to offer couldn’t move someone at his level.

He watched the passageway being forged by the seal and made a rough guess. It would still take some time for it to be complete. He had already separated a portion of power, so all that remained was to wait.

On Earth, people noticed the changes in the firmament. They saw streaks of dazzling golden light flashing overhead. The clouds had been blown apart, making it look as if something was drilling its way through to reach Earth.

A sense of dread settled over everyone at the sight. They knew that the beings from the Outer Cosmos were making their move, and the ones behind it were more powerful than any who had come before. They were called Holy Sons and were the cream of the crop, even among prodigies.

Upon their descent, they would surely go straight for King Lu.

The Celestial Court had already announced that this would not affect the ordinary citizens, but their worry remained impossible to suppress. The Awakened who had set foot on the path of evolution knew a lot, so they knew the gap between evolution stages was vast.

Of course, they knew that the gap between Immortals and Sages was so huge it could be considered boundless.

The Celestial Court’s division members and the top echelons had long noticed the changes in the firmament. They could all feel the terrifying power descending from above them.

The two Holy Sons were beyond anything they could handle, and at this point, all they could do was gather information. Multiple Great Sages from the Outer Cosmos had descended recently, and if any of them caused trouble while King Lu faced the two Holy Sons, the consequences would be devastating.

Fortunately, the Jiang Clan stood next to them. Unlike before, they were not alone.

Meanwhile, Lu Yuan was still in seclusion, and he no longer emanated the same overwhelming aura as before. No golden vital qi surged around him. He looked ordinary, as though there was nothing special about him at all.

He sat cross-legged, looking completely still as he meditated.

To an ordinary Awakened, there would be nothing remarkable about the sight. But for someone at Jiang Ningxian’s level, it was a different sight. If she were here, she would see that Lu Yuan had completely digested every inch of his foundations and every trace of errant power floating around him.

It appeared as though nothing had changed, but that was what made it so terrifying. His command over his power had reached a level so high that he could control it completely. The moment he unleashed his power, it would erupt like an exploding star, unleashing a power beyond comprehension.

Undoubtedly, Lu Yuan was in his peak condition.

The passage of time remained ruthless as always, but Lu Yuan eventually opened his eyes after an unknown amount of time. His face looked as calm as ever, and it was like nothing had happened during his seclusion.

However, a closer look at him would reveal something in his gaze. His deep gaze seemed to carry the weight of everything he had experienced so far.

”The ancient tokens are even more terrifying than I expected,” Lu Yuan murmured to himself, smiling faintly.

During this seclusion, he had reviewed every aspect of himself—his body, soul, and divine arts. He reviewed everything and reorganized everything as though he was rebuilding himself from the ground up. It was a lot of work, as there had been countless threads to untangle, but thanks to the Bodhi Tree, it was manageable.

From his review, he noticed that the purple light coming from the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token had contributed the most. It seemed unremarkable on the surface, but as he digested it, the changes it produced were beyond anything he had anticipated.

Lu Yuan had used their power to reforge both his body and his soul. As a result, his body and soul reached heights greater than perfection itself. It hadn’t done much to push him toward the Immortal Realm, but it had enhanced his combat strength.

More importantly, it had paved the road ahead for his breakthrough into the Immortal Realm.

In other words, Lu Yuan was now even more confident against those two Holy Sons. He also became more certain than ever when it came to one thing—Lu Yuan believed that he would become an Immortal after this upcoming battle.
