Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

BOOM!

Rocks flew everywhere as a massive crater appeared beneath his feet. He was too strong. He had only used his raw strength yet he shattered the ground beneath him.

As for Wang Tao, all his bones were shattered, and his face was a bloody mess. He was deader than dead.

Those daring enough to kill ought to expect to be killed. Lu Yuan naturally wouldn’t show mercy toward Wang Tao. Moreover, Longevity Genetics had provoked him thrice now, and they had to pay the price.

The troops of Longevity Genetics rushed forward, and the helicopters above bombarded Lu Yuan once again. The Second Young Master was killed before their eyes. They’d surely be punished upon their return.

These troops from Longevity Genetics had no choice. They had to avenge their young master.

Lu Yuan said nothing at the sight, but he had one clear goal in mind—a massacre. With that in mind, he decisively made his move.

BOOM!

A radiant fist light erupted, transforming into a tempest. The ace troop of Longevity Genetics disintegrated into bloody mists, and their modern weapons scattered into mere scrap metal.

How about the helicopters? Well, Lu Yuan became akin to a missile as he jumped up and used only his raw strength to smash the helicopters apart as if they were mere children’s toys.

It had been less than five minutes since Lu Yuan made his move, but he had already annihilated over a hundred Awakened and dozens of helicopters by himself.

Corpses, helicopter wreckage, and scrap metal littered the battlefield.

”D-does anyone here know just how strong Lu Yuan is? Just how strong is he?”

”He did it alone... he annihilated the ace Awakened squad of Longevity Genetics by himself...”

”He’s strong and... terrifying! I think he’s stronger than the Five Supremes.”

Some could not even speak. The onlookers were simply too shocked. The battle ended in an instant. Just moments ago, Lu Yuan’s death seemed certain; Longevity Genetics’ encirclement and subsequent bombardment were just too powerful to withstand.

Now, he stood alone. Even modern weapons were useless scrap before him. The elite Awakened became mere corpses after just a move from Lu Yuan. How could a mere human being perform such a feat?

In their minds, Lu Yuan was a primordial beast baring its fangs; provoking him meant death. Once unthinkable, a certain idea took root in their minds—perhaps he was even stronger than the Five Supremes.

After all, he had just destroyed the ace Awakened squad of Longevity Genetics by himself.

I think Longevity Genetics still has some people in Chang’an. Great, I can go there and collect some interest. Lu Yuan’s gaze turned toward Chang’an. Longevity Genetics’ headquarters was in Shen City. It was too far away, and going there would waste a lot of time.

However, they had a branch in Chang’an, and the so-called Southern Sovereign was there as well.

With that in mind, he decisively left. A mere step allowed him to cover a hundred meters, so his figure instantly disappeared from everyone’s line of sight.

Meanwhile, the crowd had yet to recover, their hearts still in shock. They knew today’s events would definitely spread like wildfire. Moreover, Lu Yuan’s destination seemed to be Chang’an. Was he going to cause more trouble?

”He’s too strong. I must report this.”

Among the crowd, someone from Polaris Biotech came to his senses. Ice Fairy had left him behind, and his goal was to make contact with Lu Yuan to try to recruit him again.

Before he could do anything, however, a tragedy unfolded—a shocking and terrifying tragedy. He knew the incident had to be reported as soon as possible; he took out his phone and proceeded to do that.

Lu Yuan moved fast, and Mount Li was near Chang’an. Before long, he saw the city’s outline; the steel walls had grown taller than when he had first arrived here, and it made sense as the city was gearing up to defend against beast tides.

Lu Yuan gave the steel walls a final glance before turning toward the city gates. Finding a branch of Longevity Genetics was going to be easy, as major powers like them had a presence in every supercity.

”Mr. Lu, please wait!”

An urgent cry from the city gates stopped him. He looked up to see a group of people rushing toward him, and they were led by a woman he recognized—the Ice Fairy of Polaris Biotech, one of the Five Supremes.

A middle-aged man in a suit was next to her, and his powerful aura told Lu Yuan that he was a high-level executive.

The group closed the distance in no time. The Ice Fairy wasted no time, asking, ”Mr. Lu, are you going to visit a branch of the Longevity Genetics here in Chang’an?”

”Why? Is there a problem?” Lu Yuan asked with a calm face and tone of voice.

”No, there’s no problem at all,” the Ice Fairy said, before adding, ”It’s just that doing so might put you in danger. Longevity Genetics is a major force. The Wang Family behind it is an ancient family with very deep foundations.

”If you make a rash move, I fear you’ll suffer losses. I’m hoping you’ll calm down and make your move later; revenge is a dish best served cold, after all.”

She felt a mix of awe and frustration. She had been preparing to enter seclusion to make a breakthrough into the Awakened Realm, but she received news of his feat outside the Mausoleum—annihilating a squadron of powerful Awakened and withstanding a fierce bombardment from weapons of mass destruction.

His strength was shocking, but she saw his impulsiveness as a fatal flaw, especially against Longevity Genetics, a major organization with a myriad of Awakened at their disposal.

She rushed over to tell Lu Yuan to calm down. To avoid any misunderstandings, she sounded friendly and addressed him respectfully to show her goodwill toward him. After all, Lu Yuan was definitely a remarkable talent.

”There’s nothing to plan.”

Lu Yuan knew that Ice Fairy meant well, but he still shook his head. ”They’ve done something they shouldn’t have done. For that, they must pay the price.”

Polaris Biotech was one of the top major forces, but unlike the Wuzhou Group, its mission was to protect the citizens of the nation and maintain its stability.

In Lu Yuan’s previous life, they had made enormous sacrifices for the people, so he had a good impression of Polaris Biotech. However, that was all. If they insisted on stopping him, Lu Yuan wouldn’t mind making a move against them.

”I know you’re angry, Mr. Lu. I want you to know that Polaris Biotech will face this issue with you,” Ice Fairy said. The meaning in her words was simple. If Longevity Genetics troubled Lu Yuan again, Polaris Biotech wouldn’t sit idly by.

The middle-aged man next to her nodded in agreement.

Lu Yuan was a powerful Awakened whose strength wasn’t weaker than the Five Supremes. With that divine sword on top of it, he’d become even stronger.

Despite his strength, could he really oppose a major organization by himself?

The middle-aged man didn’t want to witness the fall of such a talent, so he wanted Lu Yuan to calm down and reconsider his actions.

However, Lu Yuan didn’t answer. Instead, he looked at Chang’an’s gates and smiled. ”Today, no one can stop me from committing a massacre!”
