Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

The terracotta soldiers before the Mausoleum were the first trial. There were no shortcuts; one had to force their way through.

The Netherworld Army was the second trial; the majority of the trespassers were killed here, as it was impossible to pass without a key. During the second trial, spiritual fruits and exotic herbs were presented as boons, essentially telling the trespassers to proceed no further and become satisfied with the rewards so far.

The Primordial Dragon Hall’s doors were the third and final trial. Even those truly powerful would find it impossible to enter through mere brute force alone. Hence, if one wanted to reach the final destination, one had to possess the necessary keys as well as sufficient strength.

Lu Yuan possessed everything and was strong enough. Upon entering the hall, he had essentially passed through all the barriers.

He stood in the hall with a calm face, and then he started walking up to the imperial throne. This opportunity would only appear once. Once Lu Yuan had obtained what was here, the Primordial Dragon Hall would never appear again, even if later arrivals had the keys and had met all conditions.

This was the reason he’d been so careful since he entered the Mausoleum at Mount Li. There was no choice; he had to obtain what was inside, as it was extremely important.

Soon, Lu Yuan ascended all the steps and stood before the imperial throne. It sat empty, just like the Mausoleum, which had been desolate for over two thousand years.

However, a finger-sized jade bamboo slip was on the throne. It looked completely ordinary, emanating not even a hint of light. If dropped on a random street outside, ordinary people wouldn’t even notice it.

Its only value seemed to be that it was entirely jade; that was all.

When Lu Yuan saw it, however, a bright gleam appeared in his eyes.

”I did so many things just for you,” he muttered and walked forward.

However, he didn’t pick it up. Instead, he bowed slightly toward the throne to express his respect for the Mausoleum’s owner. After all, he was taking something from inside. He couldn’t rush it, and his attitude had to be proper, even though he knew that disrespect wouldn’t change the outcome.

Eventually, Lu Yuan took a deep breath and picked up the jade slip. It felt cold to the touch, but it wasn’t uncomfortable to hold. He looked at it and found nothing inscribed on it.

Lu Yuan clenched his fist.

Crack!

The jade slip shattered, turning to powder. The moment it shattered, the entire Mausoleum Li trembled. The ”dragon” atop the mountain became thinner and weaker, but the subtle change went unnoticed.

Lu Yuan’s gaze brightened as the powder in his hands emanated a hazy glow before taking to the skies.

The hazy light grew brighter and brighter, ultimately forming ancient pre-Qin characters in midair! Most people couldn’t read those characters nowadays, and Lu Yuan couldn’t read them either.

Of course, there was actually no need for him to read them. Eventually, the light stopped drawing characters in midair, but there were already over a hundred of them. They floated for a while before rushing toward Lu Yuan’s forehead.

In his mind, the golden figure representing the Innate Spirit and the god of wisdom sat beneath the Bodhi Tree. It started to comprehend those characters. With his billionfold talent, he understood them almost instantly.

Lu Yuan also learned of the jade slip’s contents. It was none other than the Primordial Dragon Breathing Technique!

Upon cultivating the breathing technique, one could use one’s body as the foundation to devour dragon veins; every cell in one’s body would transform into a true dragon, allowing one to open 108,000 grotto-heavens.

Each grotto-heaven contained a true god, and the formation of each true god would multiply his strength once. 108,000 grotto-heavens meant 108,000 true gods. In other words, his strength would be bolstered 108,000 times!

This was indeed the unparalleled breathing technique that he had been searching for all this time.

There were a myriad of breathing techniques all over the world. Some ancient families and even organizations like Mount Hulong and Aurora Academy had decent breathing techniques.

However, Lu Yuan couldn’t care less about all of those, as he had the unparalleled breathing technique. Unparalleled meant it was greater than any other breathing technique.

If one had to make a comparison, it was comparable to the complete Dao De Jing versus other visualization methods. There couldn’t be anything better than it.

Having lived again, his plans for the future were naturally extraordinary.

108,000 times one’s combat power... if that kind of boost is applied to me, how terrifying would I become? Lu Yuan’s eyes lit up. He knew the jadeslip contained an unparalleled breathing technique, but he hadn’t expected it to be so overpowered.

He couldn’t even imagine how strong he would become if his strength were bolstered 108,000 times. It was simply unimaginable.

With his billionfold talent, he comprehended the Primordial Dragon Breathing Technique in almost no time. If he were someone else, forget about comprehending it—they’d still be researching how to cultivate it.

Lu Yuan’s next step was to find a way to open the grotto-heavens mentioned in the breathing technique. However, it required an enormous amount of energy; it couldn’t be achieved through simple cultivation alone.

One grotto-heaven, one god—how difficult would it be to manifest them?

However, Lu Yuan had long made preparations for this day. With a flip of his hand, the Nine-leaf Golden Resonance that he had obtained in Qingyang City appeared in his hand.

The Nine-leaf Golden Resonance belonged to the same category as spiritual fruits and exotic herbs, a rare treasure. If ordinary people were to consume it, they would immediately become an Awakened.

The energy it contained was that enormous.

Today, it would become the nourishment that Lu Yuan needed to open his grotto-heavens.

Without hesitation, he sat cross-legged directly before the imperial throne. Since he had already obtained the breathing technique, he had to start cultivating it as soon as possible.

He still hoped to use this opportunity to shatter another genetic shackle and evolve to become even stronger.

Lu Yuan placed the Nine-leaf Golden Resonance in his mouth. The next moment, he felt pure energy surging throughout him. A radiant glow emanated from every inch of his flesh, making him appear utterly sublime.

Upon sensing the pure energy, Lu Yuan closed his eyes and began cultivating according to the Primordial Dragon Breathing Technique.

His chest heaved, and visible streams of white air were expelled from his mouth and nose. When he inhaled, the energy in the air actually transformed into tiny dragons that rushed to his nose and mouth.

Lu Yuan felt all his pores open at once. His organs trembled, and his blood surged like boiling magma. This feeling was unlike any other; he felt extremely comfortable, as if he were sublimating. It was like his genes themselves were evolving.

Lu Yuan recalled reading an excerpt from an ancient text, saying, ”Those who eat meat are brave and fierce; those who eat grain are wise and clever; those who eat ’qi’ are enlightened and long-lived; those who eat nothing are immortal and divine.”

At this moment, Lu Yuan was devouring the surrounding Heaven-Earth Spiritual Energy into nourishment, allowing every inch of his cells to reap unexpected benefits.

Cultivating the breathing technique required a visualization method, so Lu Yuan decided to cultivate the two together.

His heart beat echoed like war drums, resounding throughout the hall. His aura grew increasingly heavy, and his presence became even more terrifying.
