Chapter 139 – 126: Why can muscles get so big! (Two-in-one big chapter)_3

“Oh, Hamilton, if you are worried, I can ask Andrews to stay in Flashgold Town as well, now are you reassured?” Viscount Hamadi said with a smile.

“Rein, this is Knight Andrews.” Viscount Hamadi pointed to the towering guard knight equipped with an arm shield.

“Lord Andrews, hello.”

“Hello, Lord Rein.” A deep voice came from the other’s knight’s helmet.

Oh! This Knight Andrews is very strong.

Rein’s senses told him that Andrews seemed to be an experienced knight.

This made Rein a bit puzzled, wondering why Viscount Hamadi would leave an experienced knight behind.

But he didn’t think much about it, perhaps it was for Hamilton’s peace of mind?

Of course, that’s unknown.

Before the team departed, Rein and Lagaray instructed that it would be best if they could bring back her brother and the belongings of his comrades, but if not, ensuring their own safe return was most important.

Soon, the team from County Town joined the team from Flashgold Town, a majestic group of forty to fifty people, and they set off towards the western Nightingale Forest.

This time, Hamilton took nearly twenty Night Watchmen, which amounted to more than half of the defensive power of Flashgold Town.

After seeing off the team, Andrews spoke up: “Lord Rein, as the new Deputy Sheriff of Flashgold Town, could you show me around Flashgold Town? Although I’ve been here a few times, it’s been a long while.”

For Andrews’ request, Rein naturally had no problem, because it just so happened that it was customary every day for the town sheriff to patrol around Flashgold Town on horseback.

Although this was more of a formality, it remained a method to deter minor criminals and had been passed down to the present day.

So, Rein often saw Hamilton taking time to patrol with two guards, the three of them riding together.

Thus, Rein readily nodded and agreed.

“Of course, there’s no problem, Lord Andrews. Please follow me.”

Through idle chatter with Andrews, Rein learned that after receiving the message about the ‘Evil Spirit Knight,’ County Town took it very seriously.

However, the entire Meister County had been unsettled recently, and the Seasonal and Marine Goddess Church had already sent out several teams to other places, with a team just returning yesterday.

Therefore, the delay in the team coming to Flashgold Town to investigate the Evil Spirit Knight was a few days.

Meanwhile, Jenny, who was secretly relieved that Rein didn’t need to go on a mission this time, saw Rein and an unfamiliar knight, starting to mount their horses and head towards the edge of town.

This made her heart tighten.

But seeing their slow pace, Jenny soon realized that Rein was just going for his routine patrol.

As an aristocrat’s offspring, of course, she knew this was a routine of the sheriff. Your journey continues on Novgo

Thus, Jenny thought for a moment, then said to the coachman: “Caso, follow Lord Rein from a distance with the carriage, and also, let the two family cavalrymen wait here.”

“As you command, miss,” the coachman Caso quickly greeted the two family cavalrymen in charge of protecting Jenny.

Jenny wanted to approach directly, but with someone new beside Rein, now was not an appropriate time to deepen their interaction, so she could only have the coachman follow at a distance.

And Jenny’s eyes were fixed on Rein, the more she looked, the more she felt the knight in armor looked dashing, making her heart race.

Rein and Andrews soon reached the edge of the town.

At that moment, a woman’s scream suddenly rang out from within Flashgold Town.

Rein narrowed his eyes and instantly turned his head towards the direction from which the sound came.

But suddenly, his heart sounded an alarm!

His level 3 danger perception told Rein that the source of danger was right beside him!

Was it Andrews?

“Oh no!”

“Iron Skin!”

Without the time to turn his head, Rein instinctively activated his second Transcendent ability “Iron Skin,” and suddenly, he felt a forceful and scorching attack hit his lower back!

“Bang!”

“Crack!”

The next second, he was blasted from his horse like a cannonball, hitting the ground.

Instantly, the ground formed a deep crater where Rein landed, dust billowing!

And Jenny, who was following from afar, had her eyes wide open, her hands covering her mouth in utter disbelief, watching the scene unfold before her.

The unfamiliar knight beside Rein, wasn’t he Viscount Hamadi’s guard knight?

Why would he suddenly attack Rein?

And Jenny had just witnessed the attack, seeing black flames suddenly surge from the attacker’s palm, striking Rein’s waist with great speed, even tearing through his knight armor!

Oh my goodness! Rein, just recently appointed as Deputy Sheriff, the guardian knight his family had just made contact with, was now ambushed and killed?

Great Goddess above, how could such a horrifying event occur!

But what terrified her even more happened.

The tall, thin knight who ambushed and killed Rein was now focusing his gaze on her carriage.

“What a pity, the young knight prodigy, never had the chance to fully mature.”

“Oh! We have a few spectators here. Too bad! If you’ve seen something you shouldn’t have, you’ll have to join Rein now!” Andrews said, his voice tinged with an indescribable glee.
