Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Fengte has been resurrected.

Not just hanging by a thread, placed into a hibernation pod, and hibernated for a long time.

But a true resurrection in every sense.

Unfortunately, the application scenarios for this resurrection technology are extremely demanding.

It requires not only the full preservation of the deceased’s remains but also ensuring the deceased’s soul remains in this world.

The soul can be said to be a byproduct of Magic Power.

Magic Power is composed of tiny particles.

In a Magic Power environment, human consciousness can influence the movement of these tiny particles to some extent, especially for Subhumans who have been modified and can release powerful Magic through their own consciousness.

The nutritionist responsible for Fengte’s health explained a whole bunch of principles, but Fengte only understood the gist of it.

During Fengte’s slumber, human technology has taken a giant leap forward.

People have become accustomed to the existence of Magic, and humans who have not undergone modification will consume specific Potions to maintain their survival in this world.

The ecosystem originally destroyed by war has been partially restored using genes from the gene library.

However... to ensure that creatures can truly survive in this Magic-polluted environment, many species have been implanted with genes resistant to Magic, leading humans into the world of Magic altogether first.

Surprisingly, many species that should have been destroyed by the rampant Magic have managed to survive within it.

Life always finds a way.

After the Magic infection began, many species adapted to Magic even without human intervention.

Not only that, some creatures have learned to use the Magic within their bodies without human guidance.

Two stags, each standing three meters tall, dominate the vast plains.

One stag’s antlers burn with blazing flames, while the other’s antlers flash with thunder; they fight each other for mating rights in the spring.

They transcend ordinary creatures and become Magic Beasts, capable of using Magic without any Array.

Magic Beasts have become the new research subjects.

All organizations covet the power they contain.

This power resembles the power directly used by Angels.

Moreover, New Lukaism gained two mature technologies during the previous war.

Research on the Magic ”Slime” phenomenon and the Experience of creating tangible maze monsters have given them the confidence to magically create creatures out of thin air.

The Heavenly Stone acquired from Angels allowed them to master the method of creating tangible Magic substances.

Magic weapons are sharper, and Magic can be installed, enabling them not only to contend with Angels but also to deal with Subhumans who disobey orders.

In this newly initiated civil war, the Main War Faction holds a significant advantage, but the battles with the Twelve Angels, the goddess, and Demons have severely weakened them.

To win the forthcoming inner war and prevent human fragmentation, the Main War Faction awakened Fengte.

Hoping he could utilize his ample Experience in suppressing other humans to do something.

Fengte did not refuse, but between the lines, he revealed a sense of hesitation.

Like the Angel and Demon chess match Yang Yu played in the [Hall of History], humans created Demons to oppose the Twelve Angels.

On their first encounter with the Twelve Angels, humans faced utter defeat.

Even with well-prepared plans, they still met with complete defeat.

The resurrection ability of [Gabriel] once left them helpless.

Due to the Angels’ fierce Attack, the originally defined range for Magic combat also posed problems.

Magic spread from one region to another, contaminating lands not within the planned scope.

The Main War Faction’s greatest fear still came to pass; even with the aid of [Nine-Life Cat Demon], they could not fully reclaim the spread Magic.

To defeat the Angels, the Main War Faction conducted numerous Magic experiments on captured Angels.

And then found a method of ”Fallen” Magic.

”Fallen” Magic is extremely unstable but can cause severe harm to Angels using Holy Light.

The only issue is this instability, as ”Fallen” Magic rapidly destroys a person’s body, theoretically allowing only a select few to master this power.

Obtaining this power requires a lengthy research process.

But the Twelve Angels will not give them this opportunity.

Therefore, the senior leaders of the Main War Faction decided to take a shortcut.

Within ”Fallen” Magic, a phenomenon of Magic concentration can be observed, which means...

Fengte strongly opposed this plan, but his opposition was ineffective.

The ”Demon” plan was initiated.

Opposing Angels and the goddess undoubtedly meant Demons, hence the plan was named the ”Demon” plan.

The Demons born from the plan were all designed according to various Demon legends and possessed many of the powers mentioned in those Legends.

However...

Even with such powerful combat warriors, humans still failed to immediately gain an advantage over Angels.

Demons could inflict massive damage on Angels, and Angels could also inflict substantial damage on Demons.

Until humans defeated [Gabriel], analyzed Gabriel to obtain the ability to resurrect Demons, and only then did the situation start to change.

When Demons faced Death, it was not truly Death but shattered into countless particles.

As long as those particles were reassembled, the Demons would be resurrected.

Relying on the constantly resurrecting Demons, humans completely crushed the Twelve Angels, taking their remains to a research facility to study and imbue Demons with more abilities and consciousness, planning a final battle with the sealed goddess.

To ensure the battle wouldn’t affect Civilians, humans established a massive war fortress at Nemo Point, in the ocean wasteland far from all Continents.

In case of emergency, that war fortress will completely engulf the goddess, sinking her into the sea.

With all preparations in place, humans opened the box that sealed the goddess for decades and formally challenged her.

The result was...

Humans suffered a crushing defeat.

All Attacks launched against the goddess had little effect, and Demons launching Attacks against her were obliterated in an instant.

The goddess did not initiate many Attacks but instead concentrated her Strength to resurrect the Twelve Angels and opened a giant escape hole in the Barrier that enclosed the entire sky.

Humans sensed something was wrong, and during the goddess’s weakened state after using the resurrection Skill, they gathered huge Magic Power and activated the colossal war castle, sinking the goddess into the sea.

Oddly enough, the escaped Angels did not immediately rush to assist the goddess.

They first went to rescue their fellow Angels and set a series of agreements, then passed through the giant escape cave, leaving this world.

From then on, for decades, there has been no news.

Fengte was affected in the battle against the goddess, leaving many scars, but he did not die.

He died during the Sealing of Demons.
