Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Strange knowledge had increased.

Whether it was useful or not, Yang Yu temporarily memorized it all.

Stretching lazily, Yang Yu had no intention of leaving anytime soon.

Seeing that Yang Yu still had a pile of questions, the All-knowing Queen knocked on the table again. Cups floated up onto the tabletop, and she offered hot cocoa to relieve Yang Yu and the others’ fatigue.

Yang Yu was not polite about it; he drank the hot cocoa and began a long round of questioning, dumping out all the doubts he’d been holding in his stomach.

From the smallest details of how the Nine-Life Cat Demon obtained adaptive changes, to the great question of how the Nine-Life Cat Demon had grown to its current scale.

Hero Lox had erased all traces of himself and his companions from history, but Yang Yu didn’t give up. He skirted around the edges with all kinds of trick questions, trying to learn about this former Hero from others’ mouths.

Yang Yu also gradually came to understand the history after the diary ended.

As most of Lucaism perished in the war, and the ”De-Luca” movement surged like a storm, the last faint light of the Luka Civilization was completely extinguished in the swaying wind and rain.

The Nine-Life Cat Demon also completely took over the work of recording the world from the last Luca Believers who had inherited the knowledge, and by setting up[Anchor Points], recorded all of history up to the present.

After the last Flame of the Luka Civilization vanished, new scripts and new languages sprang up like bamboo shoots after the rain.

Wars flared up and died down, Sustained for hundreds and thousands of years.

Then one day, giant dragons appeared, spanning the skies.

They had seen the extinction of the Luka Civilization; though they had been mentally prepared long ago, they still almost couldn’t bear it.

Many among them loathed this world and wanted to burn this utterly chaotic world down to ashes.

At that very moment, a boy who inherited their will and carried Human heritage appeared, and he told the giant dragons:

”Now is not the time.

Even if you use immense Strength to twist everyone together on a single rope, they all have their own agendas.

The Flame of the Luka Civilization has been completely extinguished in this era.

Wanting the people of this Magic World to understand the existence of Luka is an extremely difficult task.

But as long as we preserve the Flame of civilization for them, one day they will once again comprehend ’Luka’.

Be connected in a way never seen before.

For that day, I hope you can make a vow with me.

Make a vow with me, the last of the Original Humans.

The Potions that prevent Magic Power contamination have been completely out of production for hundreds of years.

The Potions I possess on hand have also been entirely used up.

But at last, I’ve waited for your arrival.

In order to adapt to this harsh environment, and perhaps also to better manufacture Asian Soldiers, a technology called ’Racial Essence’ was developed.

As long as there is Racial Essence and the corresponding instruments to support it, I can transform myself in the direction of Subhumans.

This technology has also been discarded by the times.

At least, the instruments are just about to be abandoned...

Aside from me, I’m afraid no one else needs such instruments to transform their own racial identity.

It’s fine.

Absolutely fine.

My ancestors all told me so.

I am the last Watcher... always watching for your return...

But... but....

This is my personal plea: please stop this foolish war that has lasted a thousand years!

At least let everyone speak the same language, give them the possibility of mutual understanding!”

Tears burst from the boy’s eyes. Although he had never personally witnessed the splendor of the Luka Civilization, he truly longed for such a civilization to exist, and wished for everything to return to that era.

The giant dragons’ fury thus came to a halt.

They decided to trust that boy and made a contract with him.

This was the order that had been imprinted into them before their transformation.

As giant dragons who towered over the world and gazed down upon all living things, they obeyed the boy’s wish, swept through the land like a hot knife through butter to put an end to the war, and unified the language once more.

With the help of the giant dragons, the boy tried to restore Luka’s glory, but he only managed to obtain a few scant decades of complete peace.

Only when his youthful features had faded did the former boy fully understand why his ancestors had told him that now was not the time.

The heritage of Humans could disappear amid turmoil.

On his deathbed, the once-boy made countless new vows with the giant dragons.

The three most important were:

First, no matter what happens, the heritage and Flame of Humans are the top priority for protection.

Second, do not overly interfere in Human affairs; problems within Humanity should be resolved by Humans themselves. One day they will understand one another, find a way to take back the heritage from your hands. All you need to do is provide them with a channel. Present the richest rewards to test their will.

Third, never casually reveal the clauses written in the vow to others, especially the two most important ones.

After that, the Dragon God Evaluation Country emerged, spanning the world.

Although the leaders of the Giant Dragon Evaluation Country changed over and over again, the giant dragons were always the guardian deity of their nation.

To cover up the vow, the giant dragons began to look down upon all living things with incomparable majesty, quietly waiting for the day when Humans would once again come together.

Even if, before that day came, Humans would suffer countless repeated setbacks.

Heroes shape the times, and the times shape Heroes.

One powerful figure after another established their own nations amidst war.

They not only possessed unique abilities, but also the Strength to unite people’s hearts.

Thousands of years passed slowly in this ever-changing cycle of rise and fall.

Until the Demon King descended upon this world.

The signal from the Refuge Planet was precisely the notice that the ”Demon King” plan was feasible.

To let a single existence control all Magic Power was theoretically feasible.

But the process of creating the Devil King’s Power was destined to be extraordinarily slow; it might take a thousand years.

If the Luka Civilization exerted all its might together, perhaps this thousand years could be shortened to mere decades.

But with the seas turned to mulberry fields, in the short term the Main War Faction simply could not pin their hopes on this plan to save them from dire straits.

So, they had the researchers develop a completely sealed stronghold, letting the Demon King’s Magic Power that formed within protect that stronghold until the Devil King’s Power was fully completed.

The completion time for this plan was also extended from a thousand years to several thousand.

The Main War Faction staked their final bet entirely on the Demon King plan, pouring out everything they had, and transformed the fortress into the Demon King City, equipped with a Teleportation Gate.

If this plan could succeed, then when the Demon King inherited the Strength, he would also inherit all of Luka’s will.

One person could bring the entire world under his feet; one person could spread countless knowledge; one person could mobilize the Magic Power of the whole world to completely annihilate the goddess and open up a broad avenue for Human civilization.

The Devil King’s Power was also set up to be a Strength that could not be easily erased; at least, the Luka Civilization that created the Devil King’s Power back then had no way to destroy it.

If some unexpected mishap occurred, the Devil King’s Power could also return to the place of its birth and be inherited by the next Demon King.

Yet no one had expected that the Devil King’s Power really would encounter a little accident.

Simply put, the Devil King’s Power split in two.

Its Strength was inherited over and over again, separately by generations of Demon Kings and Heroes.
