Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

After the United Faction’s great victory, the world did not return to peace.

The United Faction was composed of countless forces, united only because they shared a common enemy in the Main War Faction.

When the common enemy was eliminated, various problems of unequal interest distribution often arose within the loose alliance.

The various forces forming the United Faction had their own goals, many of which were conflicting, dooming the alliance to a short-lived existence.

In fact, on the way to annihilating the Main War Faction, many forces had already begun preparing for the next battle.

Several small triggers became the fuse for a new war.

When one side wants to start a war, it often just needs an excuse.

The side that initiates the war often believes it will be the ultimate victor.

But the outcome is unpredictable.

Even the process is shrouded in mystery.

An unprecedented massive melee took place on the ruins, wearing away the last vitality of civilization.

Although the Main War Faction was destroyed, New Lukaism did not vanish.

Years later, the Main War Faction surprisingly resurrected in another form and joined this death knell-like chaos.

In repeated battles, countless moralities were thrown out the window.

At some point, human experimentation became routine; at some point, brutalizing the enemy became a form of pleasure; at some point, everything ancient gradually returned.

Humans no longer confined themselves to using genes from various creatures to modify themselves, instead completely letting go of restraint.

One faction, to prevent food shortages, created plant-like subhumans that could generate various magic foods, but these magic foods were entirely different from ordinary magic plants or beasts.

The food made from magic power could give a feeling of fullness but provided no nutrition, resembling a shaped and flavored piece of Guanyin Soil.

Before major battles, officers would use this food to pacify soldiers, so if soldiers died on the battlefield, they wouldn’t need to be fed.

One faction, to ease the stress of their soldiers, created various toys to help them unwind.

...Enchanting Demons found it difficult to birth male offspring, but it was merely for a certain convenience.

One faction began to artificially weave genes to enhance the combat ability of subhumans, and gradually humans no longer seemed human.

No matter what any faction did, their ultimate goal was to achieve the final victory in the war.

In repeated wars, countless knowledge was also left behind.

To safeguard their achievements, different factions erected barriers of knowledge, enjoying the benefits of knowledge alone.

But the knowledge they mastered was lost in the chaos of wars, without knowing where it flowed to.

Civilization declined step by step in the long dark night.

At some point, a young researcher could no longer understand the cause of mistakes, even if the cause was exceptionally simple.

At some point, huge cultural barriers appeared between different regions, and no one understood each other’s culture.

This planet was the same, and so was another planet.

Even now, there is no sign of the war ceasing.

Fengte’s pen paused for a moment here, and continued writing:

”The organization I am in now is weak and powerless.

Everything that can be done has been done.

What remains can only be entrusted to our successors.

The ’Go to Luka’ movement has been ongoing for many years.

Almost no one believes what we say anymore.

We have tried multiple times to expand the organization, only to find it a daunting task.

This society, this world no longer welcomes our arrival.

In their eyes, we are like ghosts of the old world, desperately clinging to broken bodies, trying to resurrect.

They do not want to see us resurrect, even though they themselves are also resurrecting.

Alright! Alright!

Since in their eyes, we are already ghosts of the old world.

We, these ghosts of the old world, will try to scare them again.

This time, we still have not freed humanity from the cycle of mutual killing.

But I believe that as long as the human race exists, one day they will unite as we once did, for a common goal.

I have left them a rich heritage.

This notebook is one of them.

Listen!

To the humans reading this diary hereafter.

I will make a series of prophecies here.

If the history you know is very similar to the prophecies I make, you might try believing everything written in this book.

Think carefully about it and draw your conclusions.

For you who can get this book and understand it, you are certainly endowed with some kind of qualification.

I believe you will surely make your own judgment.

I will soon turn forever into dust, and the future will rest in your hands, your decisions will become a measure of the future.

”

After this, Fengte’s diary turned into a mystical book of prophecies.

”In the end, humans will be replaced by subhumans.” This served as the last closing line of the entire diary.

Without reading the earlier content, focusing on this single sentence can indeed be misleading, but knowing that subhumans are modified from humans gives the prophecy various interpretations: ”All humans have been modified, becoming subhumans” or ”Humans and subhumans intermarry until there are no pure humans left in the world.”

The Curse Sect once possessed pages of the book, and some passages, if taken out of context, are also easily misinterpreted.

For instance, demons were indeed created to overthrow the goddess, but they have become difficult to control, possessing independent thoughts, and now it’s uncertain if they still desire to defeat the goddess entirely.

”This diary only provides one person’s perspective.

From the final words, it is evident that he is not all-knowing.

He merely presents what he knows unaltered, and it’s impossible to cover every detail.

Do you, Queen, have any records on the details of certain events?

Such as the follow-up to the plan to control demons...

What setbacks did this plan encounter, and why was it ultimately abandoned?”

After finishing the diary interpretation, Yang Yu immediately asked.

The All-knowing Queen shook her head, ”Our full implementation will be a bit later.

All we know is that some tool was created.

And indeed, that tool could control demons.

Information on this is stored within a relic of the Luka Civilization.

But because a certain sect found it, those tools, and the information were taken away by them.”

Yang Yu was not surprised; he knew exactly which sect the All-knowing Queen was referring to.

”This must be something that happened in the past few hundred years, right?

During this time, you’ve also documented the world; can you show me the situation from back then?”

Originally expecting the All-knowing Queen to readily agree as before, surprisingly, this time she refused Yang Yu.
