Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

With these Steel Fragments, even if something happens, Black Diamond Lorne has the confidence to handle it.

The only problem is...

Black Diamond Lorne’s iron dragon eyes locked onto Yang Yu,

”That Goddess’ Apostle is cunning and crafty.

That Demon sent me here, surely he’s thought of some new strategy.

I don’t think he will play by the rules and fight straightforwardly.

He will definitely use some unpredictable move like before.”

To prevent Yang Yu and his team from gaining the upper hand, Black Diamond Lorne decided to strike first, confirming his position while fighting.

Summoning the surrounding Steel Clan to prepare, Black Diamond Lorne manipulated countless Steel Fragments, folding and unfolding in the air, forming numerous steel creations.

Qiuye was extremely surprised that the Demon King’s Four Heavenly Kings actually appeared here.

Their whereabouts have been exposed after all? Did the Demon King know they were heading to Demon King City, and specifically sent the Four Heavenly Kings to intercept them?

While Qiuye pondered why Black Diamond Lorne was here at this moment, others had already disembarked from the carriage, standing on the empty ground.

Gao Yuanyi looked up at Black Diamond Lorne and said to Yang Yu beside him:

”His status doesn’t look good.

Did he come here after fighting with the Hero’s party, or was he fooled by the Hero’s companions and forcibly transferred here…

Which do you think it is?”

Yang Yu sheathed his sword and replied, ”The latter.

As for the reason, look at the Steel Clan beside him.

I don’t think anyone would bring extremely exhausted subordinates over just to die.”

”You’re right.

This Four Heavenly King is most likely being fooled by the Hero. I can feel strong hostility from him towards us.

They completely consider us as part of them.

What do you plan to do next?”

Gao Yuanyi raised [Laplace], the massive mechanical arm clamping onto his shoulder,

”For such a big guy, the previous plan won’t work.

We should revert him to his original form, then we can use that plan.

You also have a task to defeat the Four Heavenly Kings, taking him down can earn a lot and provide more confidence for future battles.”

”This is obviously a delaying tactic from them, can’t you not fall for something so simple?”

”Of course I know it’s a tactic to stall for time, but now there’s no other way but to take him down.”

”We can try communicating with him.

Unravel the Hero’s plan, maybe we can avoid this fight.

Look at their attributes carefully, with such defense, without Armor Breaking or True Damage, it’s very time-consuming to fight.

I know [Laplace] has skills to deal with him.

But... those skills should be saved for the final battle.”

”Ah ah ah! You used to say that often, reminding me a bit of the past. Well, I’ll listen to you this time!”

”How confident are you that you can persuade him?”

”Not confident at all!” Yang Yu responded firmly.

Seeing Yang Yu’s confident demeanor, Gao Yuanyi thought Yang Yu had a ninety-nine percent chance to persuade Black Diamond Lorne, with only a tiny point-one percent needing caution. But to his surprise, Yang Yu directly told him he had no confidence, nearly causing Gao Yuanyi’s eyes to pop out:

”If you’re not confident at all, don’t act like you have everything under control.”

Yang Yu remained exceptionally calm, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth: ”As long as there’s a possibility, it must be tried.

Actually, I also don’t believe he, thinking we are aligned with them, will listen to me.

But if it succeeds, we can turn a foe into a friend, and find the Hero sooner to verify the situation there.

If it doesn’t work, I will rely on you.

We will spend some time forcing him out of his original form, then you can handle him and come back to find us later!”

”Alright! Don’t entrust such an important task to me!” Gao Yuanyi complained verbally, but his fists collided excitedly, ”But if nobody else can do it, there’s no choice. Quickly, go talk to him!”

Yang Yu nodded, then looked at the overwhelming steel creations coming at them, his figure vanished in a ”whoosh——” heading towards the massive Black Diamond Lorne instead of retreating.

Iyas drew her Longbow, a series of shining Light Arrows were shot precisely and landed on Yang Yu, providing him buffs.

Having been in the team for so long, even without specific orders from Yang Yu, Iyas knew what to do.

However, Iyas still hoped Yang Yu would give her more specific commands.

As the team grew in number and the final battle drew near, Iyas found it increasingly difficult to contribute to discussions during usual times.

For Iyas, who spent the first few decades in the Elf Village, she learned a lot during this journey, all thanks to that man.

Perhaps used to Yang Yu’s past dictations, perhaps due to uncertainty over when this journey would end, or something else...

Iyas felt nostalgic for the times when Yang Yu would command her, but she knew she couldn’t act on impulse.

After traveling through the Nine-Life Cat Demon Kingdom, even if Iyas were naïve, she understood the burden Yang Yu carried.

The elf race was not originally elves, but became elves through millennia.

Iyas vaguely sensed what Yang Yu intended to do.

If Yang Yu succeeds, where should the elf race go, and where should she, as an elf, go?

Iyas felt that this wasn’t something she should concern herself with; she should focus on how to assist Yang Yu in completing this adventure, as she was the Priest of this team, holding the lives of other members in her hands.

A large number of steel creations rained down, Tico and Li Yan joined forces to erect a sturdy Defensive Barrier.

Bai Jin didn’t partake in the defense; she intended to cast Attack Magic for an area-wide attack on Black Diamond Lorne but saw Yang Yu making a gesture from afar.

It was a hand signal from Yang Yu instructing her to establish Telepathy.

Bai Jin swiftly locked onto Yang Yu’s position and established Telepathy with him.

The sound of steel creations cutting through the sky was too loud; even if Yang Yu shouted at the top of his lungs, it would be hard to convey his voice accurately to Black Diamond Lorne’s ears.

Yang Yu silently cursed, realizing that what they showed in animations about communicating with colossal beings was indeed fictional. With the vast difference in size, who would pay attention to an ant underfoot?

Thus, to inform Black Diamond Lorne of his willingness to communicate at the first opportunity, Yang Yu asked Bai Jin to use magic to project everything he wanted to say into the sky.

Bai Jin executed the magic smoothly, and a series of magical texts appeared in the air.

Black Diamond Lorne quickly noticed the series of colorful texts in the sky, but he was entirely indifferent:

”At this point, do you still think I will fall for your tactics?

You say you are not aligned with them; what kind of evidence can you provide?

Ultimately, it’s just a ploy to make me drop my guard!

This time, I will definitely not let your plan succeed.”
