Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

After a tumultuous journey, Lux finally stepped up to the Demon King with the Power of the Brave.

With the help of Yongfang Chunlan, Lux’s plans proceeded quite smoothly.

Initially, Lux did not want Yongfang Chunlan to be involved in his plan.

But seeing the resolute expression on Yongfang Chunlan’s face, Lux saw a reflection of his past self, and ultimately decided to let Yongfang Chunlan be part of it.

As it turned out, Yongfang Chunlan was far more reliable and capable than Lux had imagined.

Yongfang Chunlan accomplished everything he asked effortlessly and did it even more perfectly.

Thanks to Yongfang Chunlan, Lux could reach this point with little danger.

Climbing step after step, gazing intently at the Demon King at the top of the stairs, Lux declared loudly:

”Demon King!

Give up your position...

surrender it!”

Purple light flickered violently under his helmet, the Deceitful Emperor could never have imagined that the Hero would say such words.

It seemed, Yang Yu was correct.

The person standing in front of him was not the Heroic Warrior Volcrix, but another soul residing within the current Hero’s body—the previous Hero Lux.

Things were getting complicated, yet more interesting.

A smile played on the face under the pitch-black helmet; no matter who was standing in front of him now, since this person dared to block his path and arrogantly tried to take his position, he ought to be ground to dust.

”Such bold words.

Let me see how much strength you truly possess.”

Black Armor emitted waves of Black Mist as the Deceitful Emperor stepped down the white stairs.

Behind him, the mist surged, as if ready to engulf the Deceitful Emperor completely, causing him to vanish into the fog.

Lux slowly drew the sword at his waist, his speed gradually increased, and like a gust of whirl, in the blink of an eye, he was standing before the Demon King.

The Holy Sword emitted a dazzling light, drawing a beautiful arc in mid-air.

The Deceitful Emperor swiftly drew the sword at his waist to counter.

A crisp sound reverberated in the Demon King City, golden light and black light simultaneously expanded outward, transforming into powerful magical hurricanes that swept the surroundings.

The mist on either side of the stairs, affected by this powerful magical hurricane, receded tumultuously, revealing the high tower where the Demon King and the Hero fought.

In the initial intense clash, neither the Demon King nor the Hero gained an advantage.

Their strength, the magical aura they emitted, was evenly matched.

The magic subsided, and the once retreating Deceit Fog surged towards Lux like ocean waves.

If consumed completely by this Deceit Fog, with the Demon King hiding within it, a tough battle would be inevitable.

Lux forcefully deflected the Demon King’s Magic Sword, aligning his index and middle fingers together, he slid them swiftly along the side of the Holy Sword, wielding its Skill without hesitation:

”[Light Veil]!”

Two veils of light appeared from Lux’s left hand and the Holy Sword, one on each side, pushing the incoming fog rapidly backward.

A bright red emanated from the Deceitful Emperor’s Sword Blade, his voice was remarkably icy:

”It’s useless.

The fog will eventually overrun the wall you’ve built.

This is just a waste of time.”

The Deceitful Emperor’s form flashed, using Displacement Magic to appear behind the Hero Lux, his Magic Sword, seemingly weighing a million pounds, slashed downwards with a blood-red trace, bringing a powerful gravitational force towards Lux.

Lux, seasoned by Experience, had already seen through the Deceitful Emperor’s moves, using Displacement Magic himself, in a blink, he had teleported to the Deceitful Emperor’s rear.

The Deceitful Emperor’s Sword Blade crashed onto the white steps, shattering a few into pieces instantly.

The Holy Sword flickered with red-gold flames, Lux unhesitatingly thrust it fiercely towards the Demon King’s chest.

The red-gold flames crackled upon contact with the Deceitful Emperor’s black Armor, as if capable of piercing through the exceedingly tough Armor, emitting an extraordinarily dazzling light.

The Deceitful Emperor had anticipated the attack before Lux’s strike landed, he vaporized the parts expected to take the hit, yet the Holy Sword still accurately inflicted damage to his body.

”As expected of the Holy Sword.

If not for this weapon, we would have been evenly matched, the outcome uncertain.

But with it, you’ve tilted the scale to a 60-40 in your favor!

Let me remind you.

Don’t get complacent just because you’ve gained a little advantage.

This is my territory!”

At some point, the Black Mist emitting from the Deceitful Emperor’s black Armor intertwined with the dense Deceit Fog.

The thick fog surged over the Light Veil established by Lux, pouring down.

The Deceitful Emperor’s rear, the Deceit Fog cascaded like a torrent, scouring the steps, and instantly engulfed the Deceitful Emperor and Lux.

The Deceitful Emperor beneath Lux’s Sword Blade merged with the fog, vanished entirely, normal people couldn’t find where the Deceitful Emperor was hiding.

An eerie arc of mist-enveloped slash swept through the air, aiming at Lux’s head.

Lux merely tilted his head slightly, easily evading the arc slash.

Purple-black light suddenly flickered from an empty space, targeting Lux’s heart, a heavy gravity enveloped Lux’s entire body, making him feel dozens of times as heavy.

Lux remained unperturbed, merely planting the Holy Sword beside his feet, twisting it gently like turning a key, and instantly, an unbreakable Holy Shield formed at his feet.

The Demon King’s purple-black Magic Sword veered off before colliding with Lux’s Holy Shield, narrowly missing it.

This was deliberately misdirected by the Demon King.

After thousands of years of duels between Demon King and Hero, the Demon King had already memorized all the Skills of the Holy Sword, knowing how to counter each move.

Nevertheless, despite knowing every Skill of the Holy Sword, the Demon King would still suffer losses in battles against the Hero.

Ultimately, it was because the Skills of the Holy Sword were simply too formidable.

The Holy Shield that Lux activated not only immunized all damage but also prevented any abnormal statuses for a certain period thereafter.

However, if this obstacle known as the Hero in front of them is not overcome, they can never defeat the goddess!

To secure victory in this battle, the Deceitful Emperor and Lux employed all their lifelong learning, pouring out their entire decades, even centuries of Experience.

Amidst the rolling Deceit Fog, moving deftly, the Deceitful Emperor flexibly utilized his race’s characteristics, continuously entangled with Lux.

And Lux, with the Experience of defeating the Demon King, even though Lux did not initially possess much talent, through decades of relentless training, Lux fully developed his potential, reaching the pinnacle to surpass everyone else.
