Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Sensing Agares’s fatigue, Black Diamond Lorne vigorously swung his steel wings.

All the Steel Clan received Black Diamond Lorne’s command and followed his giant body, using the airflow it created to rush towards Agares.

In the blink of an eye, Black Diamond Lorne had flown in front of Agares, and thousands of steel needles fell like raindrops towards Agares under his command.

Agares waved a ”goodbye” to Yongfang Chunlan.

”I’ve done as you asked.

I’m going to dodge their attack first.

Good luck!”

After speaking, Agares’s platform swiftly transformed into a crocodile over five meters long, swallowed Agares in a gulp, evading the countless steel needles, and plunged towards the sea.

”Don’t think you can run!”

Black Diamond Lorne commanded the steel fragments he’d released to form a big net, while the Steel Clan members manipulated numerous steel needles to pierce the crocodile.

While hindering Agares, Black Diamond Lorne didn’t ignore Yongfang Chunlan’s actions.

Yongfang Chunlan was weaving a large-scale Lightning Magic.

Black Diamond Lorne had to wait until Yongfang Chunlan released it to judge what kind of magic it was.

The Steel Clan was extremely adept at defense, under normal circumstances, Black Diamond Lorne wouldn’t even care about such magic; he could easily withstand all of Yongfang Chunlan’s magic with his massive body and excellent defense.

But Yongfang Chunlan’s intention was not to defeat him!

Yongfang Chunlan intended for long-term containment. If she accidentally controlled him, had Agares relocated him, and fell into their trap...

He wouldn’t even be able to return to support the Demon King, let alone ensure his own safety.

To prevent such a situation, Black Diamond Lorne divided his attention, launching an attack on Agares, while also using his massive body to crash into Yongfang Chunlan.

Who would’ve thought the giant crocodile, head down, would bite a large hole in the steel net painstakingly woven by the steel fragments and pass through it.

”Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—”, the other Steel Clan manipulated steel needles to stab the giant crocodile.

The steel needles mercilessly pinned into the crocodile’s body, black smoke wafting from its wounds, the crocodile making no cry of pain, allowing the needles to pierce through its body, continuing to fall toward the sea.

Tsk — that crocodile, is it considered excellently-defensive equipment?

By this time, Black Diamond Lorne couldn’t immediately change direction to pursue Agares, he could only let the trailing Steel Clan take action accordingly.

Vigorously flapping his wings, Black Diamond Lorne rapidly closed the distance with Yongfang Chunlan, revealing his black, metallic claws.

”[Magnetic Control]!”

Black Diamond Lorne suddenly opened his sharp steel dragon claws, stirring up a terrifying magnetic force, pulling Yongfang Chunlan towards his palm.

This was exactly the moment Yongfang Chunlan was waiting for!

Without any intention of dodging, Yongfang Chunlan actually plunged directly towards Black Diamond Lorne’s palm.

The steel dragon claws swiftly closed, and Black Diamond Lorne intended to crush Yongfang Chunlan into pulp!

But Yongfang Chunlan showed no hint of panic, gripping her Zen Stick tightly, the Magic Array transforming into delicate lines wrapping around the stick.

She swung forward forcefully, colliding Yongfang Chunlan’s Zen Stick with Black Diamond Lorne’s gigantic dragon claw, sparking bright bursts.

”[Thunderfall Infection]!”

Forcefully twisting the Zen Stick, a thousand thunders erupted violently from the collision point of the stick and the massive claw.

With the crackling sound, countless silver-white lightning climbed up along Black Diamond Lorne’s arm.

These bolts roared and howled, burrowing into Black Diamond Lorne’s body, a tingling sensation accompanied by stabbing pain spreading throughout his body.

Black Diamond Lorne didn’t yield in this clash, swinging his other claw towards the now close Yongfang Chunlan.

”[Shield Slam]!”

Black Diamond Lorne used a skill that could cause damage corresponding to his Defense.

[Shield Slam] was enough to smash several of Yongfang Chunlan’s ribs!

This was not all, as Black Diamond Lorne swung his dragon claw, countless steel fragments moved with his will, forming all conceivable weapons, in the simplest manner, smashing towards Yongfang Chunlan from behind, completely blocking her retreat.

”Bam” sound, the gigantic crocodile that swallowed Agares dived into the water, splashing countless white water flowers.

”Bam” sound, Black Diamond Lorne’s swinging claws struck each other.

Black Diamond Lorne felt no impact from the attack, opening his hands to find his palm empty.

Yongfang Chunlan’s figure disappeared again before Black Diamond Lorne’s eyes!

The steel fragments Black Diamond Lorne had separated could serve as his sensory apparatus to some extent, and he was surprised to discover Yongfang Chunlan had returned to her previous position.

This wasn’t Agares’s ability, but the effect of the equipment on Yongfang Chunlan’s body.

The tight-fitting outfit she wore allowed her to set a location in space, and once the location was set, Yongfang Chunlan could instantly return to that spot within a certain time, as if creating a stationary save point!

If only Black Diamond Lorne understood a bit more magic, slightly more profound, he would notice the magic power at Yongfang Chunlan’s setting point differed from other places, prompting caution.

But Black Diamond Lorne had to face two opponents, there wasn’t time to carefully discern the surrounding magic power changes, expecting him to consider every situation and observe the changes in magical power in the air was indeed asking too much.

After the giant crocodile hit the water, it didn’t keep diving to evade danger, but floated to the surface with its scarred body.

Agares’s body emerged directly from atop the giant crocodile, perfectly unharmed.

Looking up at the overwhelming steel creations, Agares gazed at the lightning-clad Black Diamond Lorne, couldn’t help but marvel:

”What an evenly matched battle.

It’s only by expanding the combat space this way that I can avoid those metal creations.”

As soon as Agares finished speaking, the nearby sea surface rippled, and a Demon Clan member with a shark face leapt out of the ocean, maw wide to tear at him.

Spotting the Demon Clan’s intent, Agares summoned a Magic Wand, instantly swinging it to the shark-faced demon’s jaw, causing its fanged mouth to snap shut, with saw-like teeth puncturing its gums, sending it flying backward.

Agares chuckled:

”I may look like an old man unfit to truss a chicken, but I am the second-ranked demon after all.

I’d advise you not to be so clueless.

Keen awareness makes one a wise hero.”

Though seeming to mutter to himself, Agares was actually speaking to countless Demon Clan members lurking below the ocean surface.

Unfortunately, the Demon Clan didn’t seem to heed his advice.

Numerous gaping maws burst from the sea, covered by a massive amount of Water Magic, charging straight at Agares.

With his eerie inverted-V eyes glowing red, Agares wryly remarked:

”Good intentions mistaken for malice.

You’re just soldiers.

Is it worth risking your lives this way?”
