Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Yang Yu thought of a possible way to clear the game.

The gap between Demon Chess and Angel Chess is enormous. Even if Demon Chess has a numerical advantage, the overall strength of Demon Chess compared to Angel Chess is four to six.

In matches of equal skill, the strength of controllable units greatly affects the win rate.

Therefore, game designers go to great lengths to constantly adjust various values to achieve relative balance.

The strength of Demon Chess is far less than that of Angel Chess, and the additional Demon Chess pieces on the board are not enough to compensate for the strength gap.

In a fight against an opponent of the same level, under the premise that both sides make no mistakes, the probability of the angels winning is as high as ninety-nine percent.

After all, the angels possess the BUG-level piece, Gabriel.

As long as the opponent doesn’t carelessly lose Gabriel and instead keeps moving to stall for time, they can continuously resurrect teammates.

Previously, Yang Yu’s strategy and tactics were centered around taking out Gabriel.

The number of successful attempts could be counted on one hand, with heavy losses each time.

Reflecting carefully on the process of besieging Gabriel, Yang Yu had a mistake once.

It can’t be considered a mistake; Yang Yu didn’t expect the opponent to have the ability to break through walls after their strength exceeded a certain level.

At the time, Yang Yu was puzzled, wondering if the opponent applied the buff to the wrong person; why not apply it to the ranged angels for shooting, but instead applied it to the melee angels on the other side of the mountain....

As it turned out, there was no mistake.

The opponent directly broke the terrain and instantly killed his critical attack piece, Bar.

Yang Yu had to restart the game and prepare extensively to prevent Bar from being instantly killed.

The second time, the opponent ignored him.

At that time, Yang Yu thought that the same tactic couldn’t be used twice and changed his strategy.

But if the key pieces of both sides are killed, it is an inevitable path.

Whether besieging Gabriel or Bar being killed, these are things that truly happened in history.

So what?

Perhaps, he took the wrong path at the very beginning.

Breaking the game might not be about defeating angels with demons, but about reenacting events that happened in the past.

The theme of the Hall of History is history.

Although this is just speculation right now, it has the value of experimentation.

Yang Yu wanted to get up to experiment, but Bai Jin remained closely attached to his back, her cheek pressed tightly against his.

This isn’t bad either.

Yang Yu didn’t immediately ask Bai Jin to move away, instead feeling the warmth she brought and resting for a long time with eyes closed.

It wasn’t until Bai Jin realized something, with her heart feeling like it was about to burst, that she sheepishly ran away, allowing Yang Yu to continue strategizing.

The group of Iyas from the upper-tier strategies, upon Yang Yu starting his experiment, returned to the Ninth Floor the next day.

Although the monsters above the seventh floor were much simpler than during the first strategy attempt, without Yang Yu and Bai Jin, it still took them quite a bit of time to finish the refreshed floors.

Lotcar placed all the loot on the ground, and Yang Yu immersed himself in pushing the pieces toward the center of the battlefield, the remaining Angel Chess converging at the center as well.

As Yang Yu thought, this board contains many secrets; they do not need to truly settle the match, but act as commanders trying to reenact history.

After losing key pieces, one shouldn’t rush to reset the board immediately.

Gabriel’s abilities are extremely powerful, and Demon Bar is not far behind.

To win, solving Gabriel first is the right idea.

Gabriel can resurrect teammates from any distance, but this resurrection skill is more a passive than active one; as long as angels continue to die, she’ll use this skill repeatedly, attempting to save her partners.

The main feature of Gabriel’s resurrection skill is that angels resurrect in place with full health.

Utilizing this feature, as long as two or more angels continuously stay in a ”alive-dead, dead-alive” state, Gabriel can be drained to empty her blue.

Executing this plan requires high-output AOE damage and terrain that can limit the enemy.

Demon Chess Beelzebub has a skill called Death Aura, which after a certain duration can alter terrain to some extent. The terrain he creates, combined with a specific map terrain, can simultaneously trap two to four angels.

Demon Chess Mephisto Ferres has a skill called Illusion, which upon hitting can cause enemies to flee two spaces and be unable to move for two turns.

With these two skills, Yang Yu trapped the two angels with the lowest attributes in a dead corner.

Then, Yang Yu had Bar, who possesses high damage and multi-target penetration, execute attacks, repeatedly slaughtering angels.

And the opponent... should say angels, realized the demons’ intention and would not allow Gabriel to be drained of blue, causing her to be unable to resurrect other angels.

They organized personnel, splitting into two routes to rescue the trapped angels.

Angels’ frontal strength and demons’ frontal strength engaged in fierce battle, with demons relying on the strategy of withdrawing when enemies advance, advancing when enemies retreat, disrupting when enemies rest, forcing Gabriel to act.

Catching the opportunity, Yang Yu used a complex skill combination to swiftly kill Gabriel.

At that moment, an angel used a skill to blow open the mountain, leading the team in a surprise attack, killing Bar and saving the two trapped angels.

With the loss of Bar and some tool demons afterward, as Yang Yu expected, demons started losing ground in the battle against angels, and the situation quickly seemed to become unstable.

During this period of time, Yang Yu felt lost for quite a while, randomly moving pieces to prevent angels from annihilating demons.

Until ten turns later, a few more stone blocks appeared on the board, and Yang Yu saw a turning point.

Each turn, the stones would carve out a part, gradually shaping the appearance of the deceased demons.

Goodness! Demons can resurrect?

Yang Yu wanted to try if the resurrection characteristic of demons could be used to completely defeat the opponents who had tormented him.

But after thinking it through, Yang Yu realized he had previously lost some demons too, and after several dozen turns, they had not resurrected.

It seemed like both Gabriel and Bar had to die for demons to possess resurrection ability.

Yang Yu refrained from fumbling around, realizing the method to clear the game had taken a lot of time, and couldn’t afford to waste more.

With demons possessing resurrection ability, the remaining job was easy.

——Stall, just stall.

Stall until demon resurrection, then sound the counterattack horn!

Demons and angels clashed, while Yang Yu used their rallying time to successfully delay until demon resurrection.

Yang Yu sent each resurrected demon chess piece to the battlefield most suitable for them.

Under Yang Yu’s meticulous manipulation, angels gradually fell behind and were ultimately defeated, transforming into beams of light scattered across the land, disappearing without a trace.
