Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

So far, Yang Yu and his team have participated in many group battles.

But facing such a high-quality group is a first for Yang Yu and his team.

The Hall of History has many interesting designs, but like most underground mazes, the attack and defense of the Layer Guardian have their patterns, just with a bit more variation.

Not only the Layer Guardian, but most final Guardians of underground mazes have similar issues.

As long as time passes, anyone can figure out the trick to defeating the Guardian and clear the underground maze.

Previously, in Lux’s underground maze, the final test used real souls to alleviate the problem of the Layer Guardian being too rigid.

The phone hinted that the upcoming layers would get increasingly difficult, but it’s unclear if this added difficulty comes from the Guardian’s performance optimization.

”Spread out the formation, this is a rare team battle, everyone stay alert. Any slack, and you might die.”

Upon hearing Yang Yu’s voice, everyone mobilized and formed up.

The Eighth Floor of the Hall of History is square-shaped, much smaller than the layers above, and it takes just five minutes for Lotcar to run from one vertex of the square to another.

The narrow terrain limits the tactical options Yang Yu and his team can choose.

What strategy to adopt depends on the opponent’s abilities.

Just as Yang Yu and his team set up their stance, the Golden Dragon Knight launched a silent attack first.

Clad in a layer of golden light, he used an instant teleportation skill, and in the blink of an eye, he was right in front of Yang Yu, swinging his sword blade toward Yang Yu’s chest.

Raising his shield, Yang Yu activated Shield Block, preparing to steadily take the Golden Knight’s strike, but to his surprise, the Golden Knight’s figure suddenly vanished completely from in front of him.

The next second, the Golden Knight was in front of Bai Jin, mercilessly striking at Bai Jin with his golden blade.

Bai Jin reacted swiftly, first activating the active skill on his clothing to raise a thin shield, obstructing the descending sword of the Golden Knight, then activating Instantaneous Boots to quickly slide a short distance to the right.

The Golden Dragon Knight’s sword blade brushed past Bai Jin, struck the black stone slab, emitting a ”clang” sound.

Having successfully evaded, Bai Jin chanted High-speed Circuit, temporarily increasing his speed, attempting to distance himself from the Golden Knight.

A golden dragon shadow was unleashed from the Golden Knight, and Bai Jin could feel the surrounding magic power shudder instantly, with his supposed speed increase not manifesting at all.

The golden knight’s sword blade ignited with flames and slashed towards Bai Jin, while Yang Yu, with a Protective Assistance Charge, came in front of Bai Jin, using Shield Block in hand to neutralize the Golden Knight’s attack.

The Golden Knight’s strength was only slightly higher than Yang Yu’s, but the attack Yang Yu blocked with his shield felt as heavy as a thousand pounds, the pressure emanating from the Golden Knight was overwhelmingly powerful.

Originally, I thought his target was me, but it turns out an illusory shot, attacking my output on this side? Speaking of which, he used Double Movement, does he have Triple Movement... If he has Triple Movement, then his next attack target should be... Iyas.

Just as Yang Yu had this thought, before he could urge the ground to grow thorns, the Golden Knight’s form vanished again, appearing before Iyas in the blink of an eye, his long sword piercing through two magic arrays, bringing purple currents toward Iyas.

Iyas reacted quickly too, activating the Holy Light Shield, a rapidly expanding golden shield. However, Iyas never expected that the Golden Knight’s sword blade would easily pierce through her shield, stabbing into her abdomen.

In an instant, intense pain radiated from her abdomen, splattering copious amounts of blood as Iyas spewed a mouthful of blood.

Despite her injuries, Iyas remained calm, realizing Yang Yu’s earlier warning was not false.

Gathering Holy Light within her, Iyas unleashed a powerful Sacred Ripples.

However, contrary to everyone’s expectations, the Golden Knight stood still against Iyas’s Holy Light, like a giant stone in a torrent, unaffected.

The Golden Knight was immune to Iyas’s Sacred Ripples!

Gently withdrawing his sword, the Golden Knight swung at Iyas’s head, while Lotcar opened its bloody maw to bite the shoulder of the Golden Knight, and Qiuye drew his beloved sword to release Wind Blade, striking the Golden Knight several meters away.

Without any hesitation, Iyas unleashed massive Holy Light to heal herself, only to find that the Golden Knight’s previous attack had a severe wound effect, halving her recovery instantly.

After thinking for a moment, Iyas decided against using Purification to remove the severe wound, opting instead to heal herself while enduring the effect.

Under the combined effect of Lotcar and Wind Blade, a white trail was drawn under the feet of the Golden Knight.

With the thought of using early to get cooldown early, Yang Yu activated Fury Blood and Sudden Killing Intent, donning a red war garment, a red glint flashed in his eyes as he closed in on the Golden Knight within seconds.

But before Yang Yu could strike, a red glow appeared beneath the Golden Knight’s feet, a complex pattern began extending from beneath the Golden Knight.

It was the Minstrel’s strongest enhancement skill, Heroic Ode, instantly boosting the Golden Knight’s Strength, Defense, Intelligence, Special Defense, and Speed by 50%, with an additional 20% damage increase.

The Golden Knight’s base attributes were not low, and under the influence of Heroic Ode, he instantly became overpowered.

Yang Yu could inflict substantial true damage, but most of it was only true damage.

Fortunately, Iyas threw the saved Purification at the Golden Knight, returning his stats to normal.

The Red Knight did not seem displeased with his skill being dispelled. He wielded the Priest’s Staff, releasing a gray wall that swiftly swept across the surroundings.

The skills on Yang Yu’s skill panel were all marked with a large red cross, the same for everyone else.

This was the Silent Hymn, and Yang Yu’s team was all ”silenced”.

The Black Knight readied his long axe and charged forward like a meteor towards Lotcar.

Yang Yu raised his shield to block, but without the ability to use Climbing to stabilize his body, he and Lotcar, along with Qiuye, were knocked several meters away.

The Bronze Knight flipped his Magic Book, weaving five magic arrays above his shoulder, unleashing the purest magic beams, crisscrossing as they attacked Yang Yu’s team.

The effect of Sudden Killing Intent still lasting a bit, Yang Yu easily dodged the beams. Qiuye also relied on his skills to let the magic beams pass by him.

However, the cumbersome and large Lotcar couldn’t completely evade these beams, and a pure white beam instantly severed his right forelimb.
