Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The Underground Maze was created for people to strategize and conquer.

Whether one can conquer an Underground Maze largely depends on the rules set by its designer.

If the designer strictly stipulates that only those under level 20 can pass an Underground Maze, anyone above level 20 won’t be able to strategize through it no matter what.

Hero Lox’s Underground Mazes always lead those who pass through them towards higher strength and virtue, based on this, Yang Yu can draw many conclusions.

Yet, whether these conclusions are correct lacks many decisive pieces of information.

What Yang Yu is speaking of now is merely one of his many conjectures.

It’s to confirm this guess of his that he now appears at the Corpses Collection Coffin’s headquarters.

After pondering for a moment, Wang Wu Yidru feels that what Yang Yu said makes sense:

”Indeed, there is such a possibility.

However, we also have no way to confirm that the special Underground Maze meant for Transcendents to strategize and the Underground Maze you were guided to by the square box are the same thing.

We are not clear on many detailed things.

We’ve been guarding Hero Lox’s tomb for two or three hundred years now.

The tasks he assigned have been passed down from generation to generation, and we earnestly execute them.

But he never mentioned planting the Underground Mazes, nor mentioned the relationship between the two.

So, I apologize.”

”Can’t confirm? Then find a way to confirm.”

Yang Yu gave a mischievous smile,

”Based on the annoyance of strategizing in Underground Mazes in the past, the layers at the front of Underground Mazes are relatively simple, so we should be able to pass through easily.

As long as we try a few layers, we should be able to detect some clues.

If we don’t find any correlation, we’ll come out first, conquer the Underground Maze guided by the square box, and then slowly strategize your Underground Maze here.

After all, you’ve only found me, a Transcendent, up till now, right?”

Mentioning Transcendents, a figure appeared in Yang Yu’s mind.

Before Wang Wu Yidru could respond, Yang Yu continued to ask:

”Speaking of which, a Hero should also count as a Transcendent, have you tried to contact the Hero... or do you know where the Hero is now?”

Wang Wu Yidru shook his head,

”We once tried to contact the Hero, and many nations wish to find the Hero to recruit him to their ranks, making him the main force against the Demon King... but the Hero suddenly vanished.

There is still no news of the Hero, perhaps he has secretly joined the army of a certain country.

Mr. Yang Yu, you have good relations with the Luo Ze Empire and Wansheng Republic, you should be able to access internal information more easily than us.

If you wish to call upon the Hero to conquer this Underground Maze here, we wouldn’t mind at all.”

That might be an option, but Yang Yu still prefers to hold onto these few precious resources himself.

It’s already very difficult to level up now.

In the short term, the only way to enhance himself and his team as a whole is to strategize formidable Underground Mazes.

The Hero, after all, has the identity of a Hero, not only can he enjoy the top treatment from countries, but there’s also a standard Holy Sword waiting somewhere unknown.

If the Hero decides to become strong and thick-skinned enough to save face, various methods can be easily at hand.

In contrast, Yang Yu has to run around to find resources to strengthen himself. Even if the two Underground Mazes are exactly the same, Yang Yu doesn’t want to let the Hero take one.

If Lox has good intentions, he ought to have prepared a special Underground Maze for the Hero, leaving him no worries.

”That’s true. I will confirm that.

If it really doesn’t work, I’ll let him strategize, as a favor to him.”

Even though he thought that in his heart, Yang Yu still expressed politeness in his words,

”I don’t know if any other S-Class adventure groups besides us have collected the keys.

If possible, I want to confirm right now how the Underground Maze you want me to strategize is like.

After a simple confirmation, I will decide whether to stay and strategize this maze, or leave here and first go to strategize the Underground Maze guided by the square box.”

Wang Wu Yidru agreed to Yang Yu’s request without thinking much,

”Then I can only wish you good luck.

I will organize manpower to take you to the entrance of the Underground Maze now.

Please wait a moment.”

”Thanks.”

After resting for a while in place, a few Spiritual Ability Users appeared before Yang Yu and the others, leading them to the Underground Maze beneath this city.

The entrance to the Underground Maze wasn’t far from the Corpses Collection Coffin’s mansion, and it only took about ten minutes on foot to reach it.

Walking into a large house, passing through layers of guards, Yang Yu and the others arrived at a piece of red land, with a black entrance embedded in the middle.

They walked across the red land, Wang Wu Yidru led Yang Yu and the others through the first five layers of the Underground Maze they managed, arriving at the stairs connecting the Fifth Floor and the Sixth Floor.

Wang Wu Yidru summoned his Contracted Spirit Body, directing it to fly to the ceiling above the stairs, synchronizing soul with body, and casting magic.

A simple pentagram opened above Yang Yu and the others, casting down bright golden light onto them, a golden Teleportation Gate opened above their heads.

Retracting the Contracted Spirit Body, Wang Wu Yidru spoke:

”This is the entrance to that Underground Maze, as long as you stand under this Teleportation Gate for five minutes, the Teleportation Array will draw you, transporting you to the maze of Hero Lox.

We know nothing about the situation inside the Underground Maze.

I hope you are sufficiently prepared before engaging in the strategy.”

Yang Yu resolutely stepped into the golden light, followed by Lotcar, Bai Jin, Iyas... The others also followed his lead into the golden light,

”We are always ready. Please keep this passage open, if we encounter any danger inside, we will come to this position first to return.”

”I will do my best to assist you. Since you have already decided, I can only wish you a safe journey.” Wang Wu Yidru smiled at Yang Yu and the others.

During the five-minute wait, each of them prepared, taking out their respective weapons.

Yang Yu could not help but regret that Helot had ultimately decided to stay with the Slimes in the Slime Kingdom, if they had his assistance, any poisonous enemies encountered underground could be quickly cleared.

Yang Yu couldn’t help but wonder when his family’s He Meng would become a bit more obedient, if He Meng had half of Helot’s strengths, that would be great.

Five minutes, neither long nor short.

Neither a second more nor less, exactly at five minutes, the light above Yang Yu and the others changed, the golden light gradually dimmed.

Above them, a point of purple light spread, forming a continuously rotating vortex.

Yang Yu and the others lost their weight, floated up, directly flying towards the vortex.

In the blink of an eye, they passed through the Teleportation Gate into a special world.

There was no trace of the darkness typical of an Underground Maze; the surroundings were covered in dense vegetation, and when you looked up, a bright sun hung in the blue sky, with white clouds leisurely drifting by.

In the blink of an eye, it was as if Yang Yu and his party had arrived in another world.
