Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The world flipped, and Karakka’s back slammed heavily onto the ground, causing a bout of dizziness.

Isn’t he a warrior? How could he use such a maneuver? How did he make the sword and shield in his hands suddenly disappear?

Karakka was full of questions, but now wasn’t the time to ponder them.

The battle continued, and even if Yang Yu had thrown him to the ground, he had to quickly regain the initiative to maintain his dignity as a predecessor.

Quickly adjusting his breathing, Karakka planned to observe Yang Yu’s every move, seeking the best way to get up, when suddenly, a massive Dragon Head Shield hurled toward her, slamming heavily onto her.

Karakka’s head spun once more.

The power of the [Heavy Strike] skill depends on the combined weight of the user and the weapon. If this sum exceeds the combined weight of the target and their weapon, it causes a degree of dizziness; the greater the weight difference, the longer the dizziness lasts.

The Flame Dragon Shield is notably heavy and large, making most people of Yang Yu’s size incapable of resisting a [Heavy Strike] from it, resulting in a two to three seconds stun.

The only issue is, the heavier and larger the weapon, the slower it’s swung, making it easy to dodge.

Now that Yang Yu had knocked Karakka to the ground, giving him time to recover, it provided Yang Yu with an opportunity to use [Heavy Strike].

Taking advantage of [Light Body] to more easily swing the heavy shield, Yang Yu, almost without hesitation, slammed it down onto Karakka.

When the shield was about to make contact with Karakka, Yang Yu released the effect of [Light Body], allowing his and the shield’s weight to return to normal, maximizing the impact.

As expected, Karakka was completely dazed by Yang Yu’s attack.

This bought significant time, making the rest of the task simple.

A Ghost Shadow flickered from behind Yang Yu as a red light flashed in his eyes.

He activated [Ghost Dance] and [Sudden Killing Intent], rapidly increasing his speed.

Then, in a flash, he dashed away in one direction and completely disappeared.

The spectators were speechless, thinking that activating two skills seemed aggressive, and assumed he’d settle the match in one breath. Instead, his way of escaping was overly decisive, wasn’t it?

Karakka regained her senses, struggling under the weight of the heavy shield.

But she had a way to free herself from the shield.

However, she felt it was crucial not to be rash. Opponents like Yang Yu probably planned their next attack well in advance. If she hastily pushed away the Flame Dragon Shield, she might fall into Yang Yu’s trap.

To be cautious, Karakka spread her magic power first to sense Yang Yu’s actions.

However, despite sensing for a long time, she couldn’t find any trace of Yang Yu.

What was going on?

Cautiously, Karakka pushed the heavy shield off her and immediately prepared for a confrontation.

Yet, no one attacked.

Several seconds passed before Karakka noticed, from the eyes of the spectators, that Yang Yu had long disappeared without a trace.

Karakka stood motionless for a while, fully releasing her guard, but no attack came, nor could she detect any presence.

”That kid...

He completely tricked me,”

Karakka wanted to be angry but found herself unable to.

Yang Yu’s tactics were indeed cunning, but undeniably, the most assured way to win.

Karakka herself, once part of the [Dragon God’s Might], had strategized through many underground mazes with their strength, conquering them easily.

But some underground mazes can’t be conquered with brute strength alone. Forcing through with strength can lead to failure instead.

Her former [Dragon God’s Might] leader often stressed, ”Strength alone cannot solve everything.” She had repeated similar words to the new leader she trained.

Yang Yu had already demonstrated sufficient strength, so choosing the most assured way to win was justifiable.

Karakka secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Continuing the battle would greatly increase her chances of failure. If it were a life-and-death struggle... how would things turn out?

Karakka pondered for a while and finally decided not to pursue.

Time was running out. Even if she flew into the sky and managed to spot Yang Yu, catching up to him would waste too much time. Several attacks would end it.

This was Yang Yu’s victory.

As time passed, confirming the match was over, Yang Yu returned jogging, looking relaxed.

”Hahaha, this senior, please forgive me for choosing to win this way.

The senior is really strong. I am no match for a direct confrontation.”

Karakka had long since sheathed her sword and snorted coldly,

”Spare me the flattery. I know your strength well.

You ended this way just to save some stamina and energy for the underground maze, didn’t you?

I also conserved my stamina for the battle.

So this time, consider it your win.

I apologize for attacking you earlier.”

Yang Yu smiled, ”I didn’t expect my small scheme to be seen through by you, senior.

Please forgive me. Thank you for your teaching; let’s consider earlier as just a warm-up exercise for both of us.”

”No need for courteous words with me. Ultimately, it wasn’t for the Legendary Equipment.

You’ve got some decent legendary equipment already, but you are still far from fully armed. I can only wish you find your own legendary equipment soon.”

Karakka raised her hand, presenting a gold and white square shield to Yang Yu.

Without hesitation, Yang Yu took the shield, instantly feeling a heavy drag pulling his hands downward.

This was no ordinary brick; it was clearly heavier than a gold brick!

With some effort, Yang Yu managed to grip the shield steadily.

Opening the panel, the shield’s attributes unfolded before Yang Yu’s eyes:

[Living Shield
