Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The attack that bounced back went through Bai Jin’s Defensive Barrier!

Iyas and Bai Jin each dodged, but the attack that bounced back seemed to have a soul, bypassing all obstacles and striking them directly.

To help Yang Yu quickly defeat the Golden Knight, Bai Jin and Iyas attacked with significant force. However, this rebound hit them, knocking off a small amount of blood.

Iyas could feel that the Holy Light that bounced back was still hers but had become uncontrollably violent.

Bai Jin could also feel the magic that bounced back still contained her magic power, yet she could not control it.

Pulling out the Guiding Scepter from her waist, Iyas treated Bai Jin and herself, pulling her bowstring taut but unsure of whether to continue attacking the Golden Knight.

Ultimately, Iyas could only send a buff to Yang Yu with a Light Arrow and then shifted her target to the Black Knight.

Since the Golden Knight couldn’t be attacked, they freed Lotcar and Qiuye to jointly hold the Golden Knight in check.

Bai Jin also changed her approach, enduring the tingling from the Lightning Magic, and raised her Magic Wand.

Magic and Holy Light intertwined once more, aiming directly for the Black Knight.

The Black Knight crouched down, raising his Shield to open [Interception]. Knowing Iyas and Bai Jin wouldn’t attack their companion, he used the Illusion Shield to simply guard against their attack blind spots.

The battle at the front lines was intense, with the Bronze Knight and Red Knight unleashing various skills without restraint.

Iyas and Bai Jin’s attack rebounded, surprising Yang Yu. Seeing they only suffered the damage from the original attack, Yang Yu secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Yang Yu realized that the enemy on this floor was entirely different from any before.

This made Yang Yu incredibly conflicted.

If aiming for efficient strategy, retreating now wouldn’t be a bad choice.

The seventh floor warned that if faced with an unbeatable opponent, one could temporarily shelve them, proceed to a refreshed level, enhance oneself while considering strategy.

This meant when unable to defeat the enemy, ten out of eight times they could escape through the sphere.

The cube surrounding the sphere likely could withstand most attacks within the maze, providing Yang Yu’s group with buffering time before entering the sphere.

Knowing each knight’s skills and countermeasures, slightly adjusting strategies could ensure favorable conditions in the next battle, enabling relatively safe advancement through this floor.

This might even save some time.

However... using such lightweight and clever tactics to clear this floor would cause Yang Yu to miss the chance to finely hone this team.

He also wanted this small team, which he personally built, to grow further.

Grow to... where one day, should he suddenly disappear, they could stand perfectly on their own.

So even if Bai Jin, Iyas, Lotcar, He Meng, and the newly joined Qiuye suffer some harm due to this unknown enemy and fall into passivity, Yang Yu ultimately chose to continue leading the team into battle.

Having played countless high-difficulty games, Yang Yu knew better than anyone that challenging oneself was the only way to achieve higher growth.

Of course, if the difficulty is too high, self-challenge turns into torment, outweighing the benefits.

To make everyone challenge their limits without falling into the abyss of torment, it depended on him as their leader.

With everything planned, Yang Yu gradually calmed down, his thoughts incredibly clear, able to see the whole picture.

Perhaps with the skill cooldown finished, the Golden Knight’s figure disappeared once more, Yang Yu quickened his pace, moving towards Bai Jin and Iyas.

The Golden Knight reappeared in front of Iyas; her Holy Light was ineffective. Beside her, Bai Jin raised a simple ice wall with magic.

The Golden Knight effortlessly broke through the ice wall, striking at Iyas. Bai Jin only bought a small amount of time, but it was enough for Yang Yu to throw a [Defense Connection] at both Iyas and Bai Jin, enhancing their resilience.

The sword blade approached; Iyas couldn’t dodge. She simply gave up defense and initiated healing.

The Golden Knight’s sword pierced Iyas again, but she ignored it and began a tentative attack at close range.

Unfortunately, her Holy Light was still reflected back by the Golden Knight.

The Golden Knight withdrew the sword blade from Iyas, her wound healing instantly.

Iyas’s Holy Light power is one of the few in this world with [Blessed by Holy Light LV.10]. If the opponent’s output isn’t powerful enough, she can continuously heal herself with Holy Light, becoming a unique tank.

The blue wave on the Golden Knight’s body gradually faded, replaced by a green wave.

Iyas’s attack once more pierced the Golden Knight’s armor, dealing damage to him.

As the enemy approached, Bai Jin temporarily halted her support to Lotcar, and with a stomp of her Magic Wand, a black and white intertwined array suddenly spread from her feet.

The black was Bai Jin’s long-unused [Ghost Shadow Formation], while the white simulated magic to strengthen [Ghost Shadow Formation].

[Ice Pure Binding] of original [Dragon God’s Might] member Karakka interested Bai Jin greatly. Despite not having learned this magic or understanding its workings, she forcibly analyzed its composition using fundamental magic principles she knew.

The principles of the array were largely similar; Bai Jin ingegrated the [Ice Pure Binding] magic into [Ghost Shadow Formation] and successfully activated it.

[Ghost Shadow Formation] wove outward layer by layer from Bai Jin’s feet, expanding beneath the Golden Knight’s feet in an instant.

The array skill’s activation time was quite long, but Bai Jin controlled the array’s size from the inside outward, significantly reducing startup time.

The Golden Knight’s speed immediately decreased by a fraction, and one by one, small ghost shadows with ice claws emerged from the array, clutching the Golden Knight’s feet.

Iyas pulled back, a crouch, and Yang Yu’s sword with black shadows blasted at the Golden Knight.

The Golden Knight didn’t lose any blood, just like before, Yang Yu’s attack was forcefully reflected back onto him.

Black shadows climbed Yang Yu’s arm, inflicting [Shadow Deception] damage on him.

Yang Yu didn’t furrow his brows; knowing the situation, he adjusted his force, hitting the Golden Knight with a clatter, striking away his own blood while blocking the Golden Knight’s movements, making it difficult for him to free his hands.

With his blood volume dropping considerably, Yang Yu activated the [Broken Cocoon Butterfly] egg form active, recuperating a significant amount of blood.

The color of the wave on the Golden Knight’s body changed once more, transitioning from green to blue, allowing Yang Yu to avoid losing blood to reflected damage.

Relying on the frozen attribute ghosts to restrain the Golden Knight, Bai Jin and Iyas brewed another attack.

Yang Yu knew well what would happen when Iyas and Bai Jin attacked the Golden Knight at this moment, yet he did not stop them.

They would soon discover the ability that the Golden Knight possessed.
