Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Iyas’s attack this time could be considered a timely rain.

Due to his own professional characteristics, Yang Yu found it difficult to deal with airborne enemies.

The Spiritual Body floated in the air, not truly flying, but as long as Zero Technique maintained a certain distance from the ground, it was extremely difficult for Yang Yu to hit him.

Moreover, Yang Yu had to use the [Dark Breaking Blade] to deal with Zero Technique’s ethereal body ability.

This greatly limited the available methods and strategies.

The best approach was to lure Zero Technique over and kill him.

But what kind of deception could deceive Zero Technique?

Or...

He could directly endure Zero Technique’s harassment, continue clearing the surrounding Spiritual Bodies, and then seize the right moment to eliminate him.

Yang Yu currently had no idea how long the Curse Sect would take to summon the Demon.

Sometimes, rushing was useless.

When people panic, they tend to lose reason, make mistakes, and fail to make the right judgments.

Your enemies eagerly watch you panic; the more you panic, the happier they are.

Therefore, one must remain calm in all matters.

After calm consideration, Yang Yu devised a plan...

A feint to the east, attack the west.

Golden rain rippled on Yang Yu’s body. The direction Yang Yu was running toward was neither Zero Technique nor his numerous small fragments but Kai Bu, who was entangled with Lotcar.

Zero Technique thought himself clever but ended up handicapping himself.

To avoid the descending Holy Light Rain from corroding his separated Spiritual Bodies, Zero Technique focused much of his attention on dodging the Holy Light Rain, leaving little attention for Kai Bu.

This was a rare opportunity.

Although Kai Bu was weakened, he was still considerably stronger than ordinary Demon Beast Spirit Bodies.

If Zero Technique could protect Kai Bu to some extent, there would be more opportunities for delay.

Zero Technique was constantly cautious, fixating on how to deal with Yang Yu.

Thanks to the ability of the Spiritual Body, if Yang Yu changed targets, Zero Technique could quickly catch up, so he kept his focus on Yang Yu.

This method wasn’t entirely wrong.

The mistake lay in underestimating the combat ability of Yang Yu’s partners.

The aerial defensive battle was nearing its end, the number of black-seamed Spiritual Bodies noticeably decreased. Even if Iyas hadn’t cast this rain, Bai Jin would have soon had the opportunity to step in.

At that point, the chance to deal with Zero Technique would greatly increase.

Now that Iyas had summoned this rain, Yang Yu naturally had to quickly eliminate all of Zero Technique’s possible allies, striving to isolate him without resources.

In the blink of an eye, Yang Yu flashed behind Kai Bu. A burst of red light pierced his palm, coating his Sword Blade in orange. Yang Yu wielded the blade and stabbed Kai Bu’s side, drastically reducing Kai Bu’s life.

The incessant golden rain pattered on his body, and the souls within Kai Bu constantly lamented.

Kai Bu knew this golden rain was continuously damaging his body, gradually weakening him, yet he did not cease his revenge against Lotcar, relentlessly launching attacks at Lotcar.

However, all of this was ultimately futile.

Basking in the golden rain, he grew steadily weaker, and with Yang Yu intervening, slicing at him incessantly with his sword, Kai Bu had no chance of victory.

Still, Kai Bu stubbornly continued his assault on Lotcar.

Kai Bu felt that if he could inflict even a bit of damage, if he could unleash all the rage in his heart with his will, he might find the opportunity to defeat Lotcar.

However, the harsh reality was that even if Kai Bu managed to scratch Lotcar, Lotcar’s wounds quickly healed in the golden rain.

Unwilling, unwilling! Kai Bu let out furious howls, hurling himself recklessly at Lotcar.

A swirl of white mist arose, and Lotcar reverted to his robust Beastmen form, wrapped his arms around Kai Bu’s mouth, and slammed Kai Bu heavily over his shoulder.

Countless Spiritual Bodies drifted out of Kai Bu’s form, fleeing in the golden rain, only to eventually perish in the Holy Light.

Kai Bu’s form shrank by several sizes, the black mist enfolding him gradually dissipating, transforming him into his Beastmen form.

The golden rain pierced through Kai Bu’s body, and Kai Bu crawled on the ground, inching closer to Lotcar:

”Despicable! Truly despicable! Face me fair and square in single combat...

What is this!

I finally climbed out of Hell to see you, gained unprecedented Strength.... only for it to end like this. I cannot accept it.

You used the means to restrain me, turned me into this, you...”

Before Kai Bu could finish speaking, Yang Yu’s [Dark Breaking Blade] pierced into Kai Bu’s back, delivering the final blow.

Watching Kai Bu turn to light particles under Yang Yu’s sword, Lotcar held back his words.

Yang Yu glanced at Lotcar, ”No need to revert to human form.”

”I know...” A ripple appeared on Lotcar’s mature face, ”It’s just.... never mind, the words of the dead don’t matter. I’m sorry.”

If there was time and opportunity, Lotcar would have tried to offer Kai Bu redemption, if Kai Bu couldn’t find redemption, then to end it himself...

However, the situation was too urgent to allow for such whims.

The earlier Kai Bu showed no sign of repentance, the result was clear, so Lotcar told himself to abandon any illusions, quickly gathered the lingering white mist around him, and returned to his formidable Silver Wolf form.

”What do we do next, should we bring down that guy in the sky?”

Grasping Lotcar’s fur, Yang Yu mounted Lotcar’s back, ”Of course we should, but that’s just incidental.

In dealing with the Black Mist, we already have the upper hand. We’ll treat him as a meddlesome Ghost. Let him see if he dares to follow.”

As the golden Holy Light Rain ended, Yang Yu stood on Lotcar, continuously striking the floating Zero Technique Spiritual Bodies nearby, severing Zero Technique’s quick-moving intentions toward them.

Soon after, countless blood-red streams gushed from beneath the ground; the cyan pathway, already teetering due to the Holy Light Rain, finally shattered under Yang Yu’s [Blood Burst Earth], preventing Zero Technique from slipping into the ground for a surprise attack using the cyan path.

Lotcar, carrying Yang Yu, dashed into the Black Mist, racing toward Iyas’s position.

Assembling his scattered form, Zero Technique gritted his teeth, not expecting his plan to fail once more.

The premise of guerrilla tactics was that the enemy intended to capture you by any means. If the target wasn’t you initially, but rather a diversion, then the guerrilla tactics merely dispersed forces, making the unit harder to coordinate and diminishing combat effectiveness.

Bandages wrapped around, Zero Technique didn’t pursue in the direction Yang Yu’s group vanished into.

Within Yang Yu’s team, there was someone with a Holy Light Ability comparable to the Goddess Sect Saintess, and unlike the Holy Maiden, that person’s Holy Light Ability could genuinely dispel their Darkness.

Perhaps only a Darkness as powerful as the Demon’s could fully consume it.
