Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Due to the Goddess Sect and the Trun Republic, a liaison officer was left in Yang Yu’s expeditionary team, and they learned of the situation ahead.

They all had sorrowful expressions, feeling at a loss, their hearts filled with an indescribable regret.

If they had organized an attack earlier, would the outcome be different?

Yang Yu led the expeditionary team to conduct a thorough search of the city left behind by the Curse Sect.

Everything useful had already been packed and taken away by the Curse Sect, leaving only some bulky furniture of little importance.

Unable to find traces of cooking or fire, Yang Yu found it difficult to determine how long they had been gone.

He could only roughly judge from the dust on the furniture that they had been gone for some time.

Entering a dark church, a cleaned pool came into Yang Yu’s sight, with a giant cross placed in the center of the pool.

In the dry pool, Bai Jin discovered traces left by the Curse Sect’s Teleportation Array.

However, this Teleportation Magic Array, like the previous ones, had also been completely destroyed.

Bai Jin had no way to use the residual information from the magic array to track the Curse Sect’s location.

As always, they were extremely cautious.

Perhaps the day they are waiting for is about to come.

Unable to find any useful information, Yang Yu and his team were forced to withdraw.

Entering the Teleportation Array, Yang Yu and his team quickly returned to the Old Palace of the Trun Republic.

Having just settled the exhausted troops, Yang Yu received an invitation for an emergency meeting.

Despite it being late at night, if these matters were not resolved, countless people would be plagued by nightmares.

”Although the Curse Sect’s trail has been lost, there might still be a way to flush them out.” Holding onto a glimmer of hope, the high authorities decided to convene a temporary meeting to determine future actions.

Yang Yu didn’t hesitate and accepted the invitation to the meeting room.

The meeting room was brightly lit, the light shining on the luxurious chairs emitting a different kind of glow, yet those seated there were gloomy and extremely serious.

Yang Yu sat on Wang Wu Yidru’s chair as before, with Icaro Flo standing behind him.

Once Yang Yu was fully settled, Ussiger spoke:

”Regarding the situation of this expedition, we’ve learned through our subordinates, but I still hope to hear your opinion on this expedition from yourself...”

The others nodded one by one, although they already knew the outcome, they wanted to confirm the facts personally from Yang Yu’s mouth like Ussiger.

Laying his hand on the long table, Yang Yu faithfully reported the situation he investigated to everyone present.

The more he spoke, the more each person present became worried.

They really didn’t expect the Curse Sect would just escape like this.

”If only at that time...”

Ussiger clenched his teeth, perhaps he was really being watched during his action.

Daring to blatantly infiltrate around the Goddess Sect, they truly had courage beyond belief!

Ussiger worked hard to calm his emotions and said to Bishop Moss behind him:

”Bishop Moss, you go back first. Conduct a thorough inspection around the church, if there are suspicious individuals, even if they are our priests or believers, they absolutely cannot be spared.”

Bishop Moss acknowledged, then quickly left the meeting room following Ussiger’s orders.

Red Tree Jikelot lowered his head: ”It’s good to mend the pen after losing sheep, but the situation has already reached this point.

What we need to consider is what to do next, how we can trace the Curse Sect which has lost its trail.

According to what Yang Yu said, they not only escaped but also covered their escape route.

If they’ve hidden in a place enclosed by a barrier, to find them, we must dispatch personnel to investigate every possible hidden rugged place.

This is undoubtedly like finding a needle in a haystack...

Does Corpse Collection Coffin have any other clues? If there’s a clue, there’s hope to find them!”

Upon hearing Red Tree Jikelot’s speech, everyone turned their gaze to Icaro Flo.

Everyone present knew it was Icaro Flo and Yang Yu who discovered the clues, if there was any hope, it definitely lay with them.

Icaro Flo put his hand into his long beard, his face bitter.

He had been excited for quite a while upon finding the Curse Sect’s trail.

All these years, it was the first time he was so close to his goal.

If they could use this chance to completely crush the Curse Sect and boost Corpse Collection Coffin’s reputation, more Spiritual Ability Users would flock to its name, allowing Corpse Collection Coffin to correctly guide them into a positive cycle step by step.

Yet now, all of this had become a mirage.

If Spiritual Ability Users recruited by the Curse Sect follow a demon to do evil in this world, then how many years would it take for himself and Corpse Collection Coffin to change the inherent perception of Spiritual Ability Users in the eyes of others.

Thinking of this, youthful memories resurfaced before Icaro Flo’s eyes.

Icaro Flo was originally born in a very ordinary village, leading a very ordinary life.

One day, he awakened his spiritual power, and soon after, his parents died in an accident.

It was a calamity out of nowhere, but everyone blamed him for acquiring that filthy ability, isolating him in the village.

Gradually unable to bear it, Icaro Flo made a decision to summon his parents’ remains.

He succeeded, and his parents understood his suffering, hoping the village people wouldn’t discriminate or isolate him, willing to give him a clear name.

Yet what he did only brought fear to the villagers.

Even though his contracted parents tried hard to explain, Icaro Flo was treated as a sinner playing with his parents’ spirits and was expelled from the village.

After that, Icaro Flo experienced various things, as his spiritual power was incomplete, his summonings were based on intuition, and his parents’ spirits soon left him.

Alone, he went through anonymity, encountering both good and bad people.

However...

Even good people would discriminate against Spiritual Ability Users.

Icaro Flo could never forget the time he picked apples with his hands to thank the elder sister that helped him, only to have the apples knocked away by her, saying: ”If I had known you were a Spiritual Ability User, I wouldn’t have helped you.”

That day, Icaro Flo’s heart was broken, running and crying desperately.

If at the end of his running, he didn’t encounter Corpse Collection Coffin but instead the Curse Sect, perhaps he would have fallen into the abyss of revenge against the world.

Corpse Collection Coffin, needing some time to find those helpless children like him, if intercepted by the Curse Sect, could alter an individual’s fate.

Therefore, Icaro Flo was extremely keen on eliminating the Curse Sect.

Hardly obtaining the clues, only to end with such a result, Icaro Flo couldn’t accept it.

Is there really no way?

Just when Icaro Flo was feeling dejected, Yang Yu rubbed his temples and spoke surprisingly:

”I have a backup method to capture the Curse Sect.

But it might depend on some luck.”
