Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Even though dealing with the Dark Spirit Body is slow, the team overall is stable, and it’s been a long time since there’s been any casualties.

Everyone is fulfilling their duties, executing Yang Yu’s directives, following the suggestions of [Corpse Collection Coffin], and adjusting their methods to handle the spiritual bodies.

The Demon Beast Spirit Bodies lurking within the vast Black Mist are continuously consuming surrounding spiritual bodies to enhance themselves. But they need to keep replenishing their attacks, and they haven’t grown to certain strength levels yet. Naturally, they rush forward one after another, only to be controlled effortlessly by Yang Yu and his team, burning to ashes in the Holy Light.

Since Iyas can handle large-scale actions against the Black Mist, Yang Yu has removed her from the Purification Troop, assigning her to a special ”nuke spot.”

Light Arrows fly out one after another from Iyas’s bowstring, exploding in the endless Black Mist, raising wave after wave. Numerous spiritual bodies are annihilated under Iyas’s [Holy Light Bomb].

Bai Jin and her Magic Troops engage in maneuvers with the flying stitched spiritual bodies, also wiping out bodies created by the Black Mist in large swaths.

Some spiritual bodies might survive Bai Jin’s group’s magic, falling into darkness, becoming food for other spiritual bodies.

But compared to the spiritual bodies Bai Jin’s group has eliminated, those not fully destroyed are simply insignificant.

Although overall the Black Mist doesn’t seem to have lessened much, everything is progressing positively.

If the Curse Sect doesn’t take any further action, the vast Black Mist will eventually be cleared by Yang Yu and his companions.

The Demon Beast Spirit Body’s speed in attacking troops is gradually slowing down, and Yang Yu’s speed has also slowed. He quickly noticed Lotcar’s worried expression.

A Demon Beast Spirit Body was just about to attack Lotcar’s position, and Yang Yu swiftly moved in front of Lotcar, slicing the attacking spirit body into two with his sharp sword, then turned and asked:

”What’s the matter? Did you hear something strange, or smell something peculiar?”

The Black Mist suddenly surged, keeping Yang Yu extremely busy, and Lotcar still hadn’t managed to tell Yang Yu about Kai Bu’s situation.

In such a vast Black Mist, recognizing a few familiar faces is only natural.

Lotcar replied, ”Nothing much, just thinking that since they collect spiritual bodies from wars, we might see some old faces among them.

I’m considering that if we encounter those people, we absolutely cannot show mercy.

They are enslaved; it must be involuntary. Defeating them is also helping them attain freedom.”

”Agreed.

Your hearing and smell are very acute. If you notice anything unusual, report to me immediately.

These spiritual bodies are no longer frightening.

The terrifying thing is those who might be hiding among them.”

Lotcar nodded, continuing to deal with the increasingly materializing Demon Beast Spirit Bodies, while also listening intently for any abnormal sounds from within the Black Mist, ready to report to Yang Yu at any moment.

Shortly after responding to Yang Yu, Lotcar heard continuous deep growls echoing from within the vast Black Mist.

Icaro Flo, who was controlling the spiritual bodies in the battle, along with other [Corpse Collection Coffin] members, sensed the irregularity emerging from the darkness, furrowing their brows and gazing toward a certain direction in the Black Mist.

Suddenly, the Black Mist, spread out like water over the mountains, rose up in a gigantic lump, with vast amounts of Black Mist rushing towards that black lump, making it grow bigger and bigger.

Simultaneously, the Black Mist encircling Yang Yu’s group retreated rapidly like tides, revealing barren hills, no longer having powerful spiritual bodies suddenly springing out from the mist to attack them.

The Black Mist opened a path leading to the prominent lump.

The black lump disengaged from the mist, stepping onto the path.

Step by step, the black spiritual bodies covering that colossal entity gradually faded away.

A pair of ghostly blue claws landed on the ground with a ”plop,” countless cyan rays spreading along the ground as a massive wolf head emerged from within the mist, baring its sharp fangs. Black Mist spewed from its mouth was promptly swallowed clean by numerous mouths on its body along its sides.

Fiery rage in its blood-red eyes seemed ready to burst forth.

An adventurer behind Yang Yu, feeling nauseous, dropped to his knees, vomiting a rainbow arc.

The thing before him should never exist in this world.

The black colossal entity, roughly looking like a giant wolf over five meters high, wasn’t covered in fur but in all kinds of indescribable, constantly moving appendages. Mouths covering its body opened and closed, seemingly devouring something desperately, ”chomp,” ”chomp,” an eerie sound continuously spreading through the air.

The black colossal entity, in every motion, was spine-chilling, like a messenger from Hell, radiating an overwhelming oppressiveness.

”Wha-What on earth is this thing?”

”Could it be... the Curse Sect succeeded? Is this really a demon?”

”This kind of creature is just invincible!”

Accompanying the eerie sound’s spread was fear and despair throughout the expeditionary team.

Many had already begun regretting being part of this Task against the Curse Sect.

But they didn’t flee in panic; they stood firmly in place, gripping their weapons tightly.

After such long battles, they knew running away recklessly leads only to death.

With Yang Yu as their commander, the current Dragon God Conference victor, having been involved in wars between nations, if there’s a miracle to happen, it would certainly happen with him.

Escaping means certain death, swallowed completely by the Black Mist, whereas fighting alongside Yang Yu may still hold a glimmer of hope...

Everyone knows the choice clearly.

They can be considered elites.

Facing such a crisis, their rationality was sufficient to overshadow their emotions, making the right decision.

Glancing back at the troop, Yang Yu reassured them:

”I’ve come in contact with real demons.

Calm yourselves; this isn’t a demon, but a terrifying creation of the Curse Sect.

Seeing this thing, you should understand how dangerous the Curse Sect truly is, right?

This is an extremely troublesome foe, so prepare yourselves mentally.”

The expeditionary team members collectively swallowed, looking at Yang Yu’s broad back, their fear diminished somewhat.

The black colossal entity took steps towards Yang Yu’s troop, causing the expeditionary team members to tense up once more, their minds racing for ways to handle this monster.

At this moment, Lotcar stepped up before everyone.

The black colossal entity paused its steps upon seeing Lotcar, bared its teeth, glared at Lotcar, and its mouth made sounds:

”Lo! Tcar!!!!”
