Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Similar information, Yang Yu had also heard from Owen.

From the beginning, Yang Yu had been obsessed with the ”Taunt” skill.

At the All Things Library, Yang Yu confirmed that the ”Taunt” skill did indeed exist in this world, yet he couldn’t find any way to acquire it from the library.

Yang Yu could only hope to encounter someone on his journey who could use ”Taunt”.

Over the years of travel, Yang Yu truly met someone who could use ”Taunt”.

However, she was an enemy, one of the Seven Great Disciples of the Curse Sect, the Chaste Jasmine.

The Curse Sect had once hunted Yang Yu and his allies, but they countered and killed the Chaste Jasmine.

Currently, the location of the Curse Sect is entirely owed to the blessings of the Chaste Jasmine’s memory.

Actually, there is also a ”Taunt” skill scroll in the dragon’s treasury, but the price is ridiculously high...

Yang Yu exchanged the newly acquired Legendary Soft Armor back into Points, and swapped the broken legendary sword obtained from the dragon for Points, barely enough.

Yang Yu couldn’t accept that ”Taunt”, just a small skill in other games, was priced ridiculously high here.

After consulting Owen, Yang Yu somewhat grasped the situation.

The principle of rarity value is a timeless truth everywhere.

In addition to the inherent value and power, the dragon’s pricing for treasures largely depends on the rarity of the items.

It’s just that dragons classify most items, making this less noticeable.

For example, among a row of Legendary Equipment, there is a situation where high-quality legendary prices are far higher than trash legendary ones, but since Legendary Equipment inherently possesses hard-to-duplicate traits, usually there’s only one piece, and even if prices differ vastly, the price gap between one piece of equipment and another won’t stretch to several hundredfold.

But dragons categorize skill scrolls by various series such as ”Earth Control Magic”, ”General Offensive Sword Skill”, ”Fire-based Support Gun Skill”, etc.

Generally speaking, once the method is mastered, skill scrolls can be mass-produced, and prices should be far below that of Legendary Equipment.

However, after ”Taunt” skill scrolls are made, they are consumed by insiders of that village and rarely circulate on the market.

The village manufacturing those skill scrolls directly vanished, the crafting skill of ”Taunt” scrolls might be entirely lost, each use reduces their number, hence the exorbitant price.

Dragons also possess quite a few lost skill scrolls; their prices are high but not to the extent of ”Taunt”.

The price of a skill scroll is also related to the stock and the difficulty of replicating such scrolls.

To manufacture a skill scroll, the creator must be skilled and knowledgeable about the skill and understand how it operates.

It seems even dragons think mastering ”Taunt” is incredibly hard due to its complexity.

Some might use it all their life without knowing its principle.

Maybe the principle of ”Taunt” was preserved in that village, which could continuously produce ”Taunt” skill scrolls.

While ”Taunt” is important, exchanging so many points for such a minor skill seems like an explosion of loss.

Moreover, Yang Yu, having encountered someone who used ”Taunt” before entering the dragon’s knowledge library, further dispelled the thought of exchanging so many points for ”Taunt”.

Should he meet another ”Taunt” user, learning it with dozens of Skill Points or casually acquiring Taunt through repeated provocations could be incredibly rewarding.

Thus, Yang Yu chose not to exchange precious points for ”Taunt”, but instead chose the complementary skill ”Heroic Leap”, opting for ”Taunt” to naturally fall into his grasp sooner.

Additionally, the dragon’s way of rewarding is not humane, one must first plan out the prizes before asking questions, with no room for temporary regret.

Yang Yu asked Owen about how many people in Jasmine’s village still lived and how many ”Taunt” scrolls were lost outside.

Upon learning there were certain survivors, Yang Yu secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Unfortunately, due to the mechanism of the dragon’s Surveillance Magic, Owen couldn’t trace those survivors, not knowing where they went.

What concerned Yang Yu was the cause of the village’s destruction.

What compelled Jasmine to become the Chaste Jasmine...

Due to the cursed mechanism of the dragon’s Surveillance Magic, these all became huge mysteries.

Since the dragon can only surveil half the world, Jasmine’s village remains in those obscure corners.

Catching the scent of a Task, Yang Yu decided not to worry about acquiring ”Taunt” yet.

When the time arrives, ”Taunt” will naturally come.

Perhaps the village destruction is orchestrated directly by the Curse Sect, raiding their base might help acquire ”Taunt”.

Following Gushan’s question, Yang Yu asked some more about why the village was destroyed.

Gushan shook his head, knowing the village’s fate, he didn’t pursue why it was destroyed.

Fortunately, Gushan remembered the roughly destructed village’s location, downstream from Sethis Star Moon River, west of the Xidelaistra mountain area.

The name Xidelaistra seemed familiar to Yang Yu, suddenly recalling it was where Iyas was beaten earlier.

Yang Yu still held a task to protect the rare bloodline, given by the last King Yi Zuo of Star Kingdom, the task involved the Star Eye bloodline protection.

Star Eye is something the Demon King searches for, perhaps even the Red Blood Rose’s Sena could offer something.

Yang Yu had already formed an alliance with the Red Blood Rose, planning to visit Sethis once Demon King Descent happened.

”Even if nothing is found, with time, I should still visit the burned village!”

Upon deciding, Yang Yu thanked Gushan’s guidance again, greeted the other members of Dragon God’s Might, then entered the adventure guild intoxicated with his companions, ate heartily, rented a room, and slept well to prepare for tomorrow’s departure.

Meanwhile.

In an underground city, a man wearing a red cloak leads his team, striving to battle monsters in the maze.

The man’s sword movements are slightly clumsy, facing a giant werewolf over four meters tall.

Recalling the brutal scenes of fighting this giant werewolf repeatedly, the man’s thoughts rose countless times to retreat, causing his sword hand to tremble slightly.

Yet, he must overcome his inner fear, or else... he doesn’t deserve to be called a Hero.
