The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Edric Yancey lifted his eyes to glance at him, pursed his lips, noticed the other cup in his hand, quietly reached out to take it, cradling the warm can in his palm. He lowered his eyelashes and obediently said in a low voice, ”Thanks, Uncle.”

Amadeus Yancey clicked his tongue, uninterested in seeing him so well-behaved, so he opened the can’s tab for him and handed the hot cocoa back.

Edric Yancey took a small sip, his gaze drifting back to the direction where the girl had just walked away, looking absent-minded, as if eager to follow Nathalie Quinlan.

Fortunately, Nathalie Quinlan just went to take a phone call and returned soon.

As soon as she returned, Vincent Moore also got out of the car and said briefly, ”Ms. Quinlan, let me escort you inside.”

Zed Moore nodded from the side.

Nathalie Quinlan checked the time and decided not to trouble them, saying, ”Time is tight, we’ll just head straight in.”

She paused, glancing over Vincent and Zed Moore, then pondered, ”When we return.”

”Alright.” Vincent and Zed Moore, not ones to fuss, realized time was indeed running short, so they didn’t insist on carrying the luggage.

Due to Zed Moore’s personality, being more tactful and talkative, he said to Nathalie Quinlan, ”We’ll welcome you back, Ms. Quinlan.”

The whole time they focused on Nathalie Quinlan, almost forgetting who the true master of Yandor Sect was.

Even if Amadeus Yancey was laid-back and didn’t care about these things, seeing the two completely forget about his presence, constantly saying goodbye to Nathalie Quinlan made his brow twitch uncontrollably.

Luckily, Zed and Vincent Moore didn’t talk for too long, both waved and bid them farewell.

Nathalie Quinlan and the others entered the airport to board the airplane.

All along, her phone kept buzzing non-stop, as Violetta Hoffman, Nicholas Fuller, Wincent Sullivan, and even Mrs. Sullivan were checking if she’d boarded the airplane.

Seeing her walking while glued to her messages, Amadeus Yancey reached out to take her bag and stuffed the previously bought hot cocoa in her hand, saying softly, ”There’s signal on the airplane, don’t play with your phone while walking, you’ll have time to reply after boarding.”

Caught off guard by the can in her hand, Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyelids, noticing someone naturally holding her bag, her lips curved into a smile.

Though she didn’t speak, she rare obediently stopped playing with her phone.

She slipped the phone into her coat pocket, popped open the can, took a sip, exuding an indescribable cool vibe. Even with a duckbill cap covering most of her face, she drew quite a lot of attention walking through the airport.

Amadeus Yancey noticed several curious glances directed at her, unobtrusively blocking her from these inquisitive eyes.

With an exasperated look, his voice hoarse and low, ”Nathalie the Goddess, when will you stop being so alluring?”

”Hmm?” Nathalie Quinlan didn’t catch it initially, after a second realized what he said, she raised a brow, surprised as she looked over, ”Me, alluring?”

Under her gaze, Amadeus Yancey’s eyes burned, containing both depth and warmth, ”Isn’t that so?”

”...”

Nathalie Quinlan stayed silent for a long time, gripping the can’s body, her delicate brows furrowed for quite a while, she squeezed out, ”Mind your own business!”

She seemed far less capable of attracting people compared to him.

Every time he appears, people’s eyes practically glued to him, yet he has the nerve to claim she’s alluring...

At least she didn’t stir up drama with a Phoebe Hoffman or a Lorraine Eden... In comparison, he evidently attracts more trouble.
