The Unveiling of Secret Queen

”Oh.” Nathalie Quinlan didn’t bother with what they were talking about, she sat down, placed her phone on the table, and said casually, ”He knows I’m coming back Saturday and asked what time my airplane is, so he can pick me up at the airport.”

At this point, the girl rubbed her temples, feeling a bit of a headache.

She wasn’t departing from McKinney, so how could Audrick Zachmann pick her up?

”I told him I’d message him once I arrived, suggesting he come to Rhine to find me.”

Rhine is where Amadeus Yancey lives in Beijing.

She planned to go back first, fetch some things, then go see Mr. Zachmann.

Since Audrick Zachmann was coming to find her, it was just right to go together.

”When are you coming back?” Nicholas Fuller had thought things through by then, and asked the girl when she would return.

Nathalie Quinlan propped her head up with her hand, her brows and eyes showing a hint of playfulness, not giving him an exact time: ”I’ll look first.”

”If things go smoothly, I’ll be back in a week, if not, it might take a bit more time, but at most ten days to half a month.”

Nicholas Fuller smiled upon hearing this and nodded, saying, ”Then I’ll wait for you to come back to ask about your considerations.”

Nathalie Quinlan felt overwhelmed as he brought up the matter of inheritance again.

Fortunately, Nicholas Fuller knew when to pull back, he didn’t persist to get an immediate result, but instead mentioned: ”By the way, be careful yourself during the days you’re back. Zevaney Kingsley has been searching for me again these days, she doesn’t seem to have given up.”

Zevaney Kingsley’s purpose for entering The First Research Institute was to enter the Level 8 laboratory, and if things went well, she would be favored by Nicholas Fuller to be nurtured as a successor.

Now she had been expelled by The First Research Institute, yet she pursued Nicholas Fuller even more fervently, clearly not giving up on the path to inheritance.

Anyone with discerning eyes could see who Nicholas Fuller chose as his successor.

Since Zevaney wasn’t giving up, she might stir up trouble.

”It seems she came prepared this time...” Nicholas Fuller furrowed his brow with a pondering expression as he said this.

Nathalie Quinlan had never taken people like Zevaney seriously, but since Nicholas Fuller kindly reminded her, she also nodded and said, ”I know.”

The three continued chatting for a while.

It was time for the meal.

Amadeus Yancey hosted the meal.

Nicholas Fuller didn’t stand on ceremony; halfway through, he called Orson Saban over.

Orson Saban also brought Harvey Cadorette and Denny Harrison.

The lunch turned into a large table gathering.

Orson Saban heard Nathalie Quinlan was going back for a bit, but he didn’t say much, just advised her to be careful on the road and let them know when she returned.

Harvey Cadorette asked more questions, even planning to give Nathalie some special products from Inderia to take back for relatives and friends.

After the meal, Nathalie Quinlan returned to the villa with Amadeus Yancey.

Nicholas Fuller and Orson Saban had matters to discuss, so they let Harvey Cadorette and the others head back to the laboratory first.

Just as the two walked out of the hotel, Harvey Cadorette received a phone call from Zevaney Kingsley.

He halted his steps, showing visible hesitation on his face.

”What’s wrong?” Denny Harrison, walking ahead, stopped as he noticed Harvey suddenly paused, and peered over to see the call display jumping on his phone.

The name Zevaney Kingsley flickered on the phone screen.

Denny Harrison frowned and said, ”It’s her again.”

”Not picking it up?” Denny Harrison looked at him.

”I’m not really inclined to answer.” Since last time he politely declined Zevaney, Harvey Cadorette had limited contact with her. Her calling now made his brows twitch, completely feeling reluctant to answer.
