The Unveiling of Secret Queen

In addition, she needs to speak with someone else.

Nathalie Quinlan first contacted the Red Alliance, and then made a phone call to Candice Yancey.

...

At that time, in Beijing at the Yancey Family residence.

Candice Yancey was discussing the matter with Mr. Yancey in the old residence.

”Dad, I want to discuss Edric’s teacher with you.”

Giordano Yancey was amusing a bird, and when he heard her, he put down the bird feed and turned his head to look at her: ”What’s going on with Edric’s teacher?”

For the past year, he has been consuming the McKinney specialty health products given by Nathalie, which made him increasingly energetic. His eyes were bright, and his hair, streaked with white, was meticulously groomed. He looked extraordinarily spirited and seemed robust.

”Isn’t he out playing with that unruly child from our family?”

Mr. Yancey mentioned Amadeus Yancey with a dissatisfied tone, eager to drag him back for a personal reprimand, expressing his frustration, ”He doesn’t return, and he took Edric with him. It’s like he wants this old man to die alone!”

Candice Yancey felt a bit awkward, rubbed her nose, and explained: ”Edric misses Nathalie and insisted on seeing his sister. Amadeus had no choice but to take him over.”

Indeed.

Candice Yancey mentioned Nathalie.

Mr. Yancey’s anger slightly eased, his eyebrows relaxed, and he looked at her: ”By the way, is Nathalie planning to come back?”

”She said she still needs to wait for some time.” Candice Yancey didn’t inquire much into Nathalie’s personal affairs and kept proper boundaries.

So Mr. Yancey didn’t pursue the matter further: ”About Edric’s teacher? What’s going on with Edric’s teacher?”

Candice Yancey hesitated slightly and said: ”I think Edric has a talent for programming. Recently, the Hoffman Family approached me, saying Lincoln Hoffman is willing to teach Edric. I’m just thinking...”

”How did they know we were looking for a programming teacher?” Mr. Yancey’s expression turned stern and his demeanor quickly grew colder upon hearing about the Hoffman Family.

Candice Yancey shook her head helplessly: ”The circle in Beijing is just that small, I guess someone informed them.”

Myles Sullivan has also been reaching out to her lately, trying to mend their relationship, including Raymond Wilmar, who has also been less assertive of late.

Candice Yancey was contemplating again and then said: ”Lincoln Hoffman is considered a talent in the domestic computer industry. I’m thinking Edric needs a mentor to guide him, Lincoln Hoffman simply wants to revive the Hoffman Family, we don’t care about that, we just pay him the deserved remuneration.”

”I disagree.” Mr. Yancey outright refused before Candice Yancey could finish her words.

He looked at her with tiger’s eye and couldn’t help but say: ”Have you forgotten about Phoebe Hoffman? This matter should not be mentioned again! We will not seek him out as a teacher.”

Candice Yancey, having been persuaded several times by people linked to the Hoffman Family, was slowly becoming a bit intrigued. Hearing Mr. Yancey mention Phoebe Hoffman, she fell silent.

Heart already filled with shame for her momentary curiosity.

Thus when Mr. Yancey said he disagreed, she didn’t pursue it further, merely sighed softly and became worried about what kind of teacher she should find for Edric Yancey.

She was contemplating this.

Then Nathalie’s message arrived.

Candice Yancey was originally absent-minded, but seeing a message from Nathalie lifted her spirits a bit, she opened it to take a look.

Upon seeing it, she was completely stunned.

”Dad.”

Mr. Yancey had already picked up the nearby bird feed to continue feeding the bird, hearing her, he thought she was going to mention Lincoln Hoffman again, and frowned: ”I told you, even if we can’t find a teacher, our family won’t let Lincoln Hoffman teach Edric...”

”No.” Candice Yancey hurriedly interrupted him, stood up, and handed the phone to him, face filled with excitement, she said: ”It’s Nathalie. Nathalie sent a message saying she found a teacher for Edric.”

Giordano Yancey couldn’t help but take the phone from her, lowering his head to take a look.

In the WhatsApp message, Nathalie mentioned the teacher’s name.
