The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1037: Chapter 1037: The Representative is the Red Alliance

Golden Pavilion Hotel, 38th floor.

A group of old academics is debating fiercely.

”Zenla has never successfully developed chip technology before, their sudden presentation of a chip clearly indicates that they have stolen our research results,” the representative from Cubicle Group asserted strongly.

Another scholar with blonde hair and blue eyes obviously disagreed with him and stood up to voice his opposition; ”Mr. Quarles, chip technology can be researched by anyone, it’s not exclusive to your team. I think your claim is rather biased.”

Charles Quarles smirked without a hint of genuine amusement, his posture arrogant and aggressive in his suit and leather shoes. Regardless of what the members of the Arbitration Committee said, he tugged at his collar and repeated the same line.

”Chairman, I respect your opinion. But...”

He shifted his tone: ”Chip technology is not so easy to develop independently. We invested a lot of manpower and financial resources, gathered top talents globally, and spent eight years overcoming technical challenges. How could a single university research team possibly achieve this. Moreover, the chip they provided is almost identical to ours, there’s no way there isn’t something fishy going on. Their actions amount to academic theft.”

The members of the Arbitration Committee frowned at this.

This time the overseas chip technology academic exchange was organized by the IT Association.

The original intention was to bring together the global elite for top-tier academic exchanges and to share the world’s most advanced IT technology.

Who could have expected that the chip technologies provided by the representative of Cubicle Group and a research team from Tsinghua University would be nearly identical.

The Cubicle Group insisted that the Tsinghua University team had stolen their research results and demanded the Arbitration Committee to disqualify the Tsinghua research team from the IT community, and also to prohibit them from using the newly developed chip.

How is this any different from a complete ban!

The blonde-haired and blue-eyed scholar from the Arbitration Committee, who had just voiced an objection, furrowed his brow deeply, his face reddening and neck thickening with anger, extremely unhappy with the other party’s forceful attitude.

He tried several times to object, but whenever he saw the young man sitting on the sofa not far away, he forcefully swallowed the anger in his chest.

In truth, their association was not afraid of the Cubicle Group, nor intimidated by Charles Quarles’ threats; what mattered was that the Red Alliance had also gotten involved this time, and by their stance, they appeared to be siding with Cubicle Group.

They were still in the territory of the Illegal Zone.

Local snakes are not to be trifled with.

Moreover, the Red Alliance itself represents the pinnacle of IT domain expertise.

Anything from the Red Alliance could trigger a major earthquake in the IT world if released.

Like the Lizard’s Tail virus sun released a few years ago, which remained unsolved for years until someone cracked it just half a year ago.

But he was unwilling to compromise just like that, without any evidence, to follow Cubicle Group’s insistence on prohibiting Zenla from using the newly developed chip technology.

This would violate the original intention of their association’s academic exchange!

...

The conference room was noisy with argument.

The young man was sitting on the sofa, stretching his legs out straight upon the table, dressed quite rebelliously in a motorcycle leather jacket over a black T-shirt, and a silver skull pendant hanging around his neck.

Dressed like this, he stood out as an oddity among a group of academics in suits and leather shoes.

However, he arrogantly straightened his back, grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds from the table, and wore an expression that seemed to enjoy the commotion without concern for the scale of the issue, lazily half-closing his eyelids, cracking seeds and playing with his phone.

His flippant behavior went unchallenged, as not a single person dared to reprimand him.

Simply because he didn’t represent just an individual, but an organization—Red Alliance!
