The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1034: Chapter 1034: Nathalie Arrives in the Illegal Zone!

The airplane took off from Capital International Airport and it took 10 hours to reach the Illegal Zone.

Nathalie Quinlan only sent Amadeus Yancey a message before the airplane took off, then lowered her cap brim and slept in her seat.

Stella Iversen saw her talking little and having a casual attitude; she frowned several times but found it difficult to say anything.

After 10 hours.

The airplane landed in the Illegal Zone.

Jackson Wafford and his team hurried to the Golden Pavilion Hotel where Audrick Zachmann and his group were staying.

As a seven-star hotel in the Illegal Zone, Golden Pavilion Hotel was extremely luxurious both outside and inside, with marble floors and a dedicated fountain at the entrance, and small angels carved out of white jade.

Upon entering the hotel, Stella Iversen took the lead, first bringing them to a tea restaurant on the hotel’s first floor to sit down, and then she went busy making phone calls.

The waiter brought them coffee.

Jackson Wafford was waiting for the news from Stella Iversen’s side while watching the girl find a corner to sit nonchalantly, seemingly indifferent to her surroundings, fiddling with her phone the entire time.

He raised his hand to rub his high nose bridge; despite being very tired from sitting on an airplane for 10 hours, he asked Nathalie Quinlan with a gentle tone, ”Nathalie, feeling tired?”

The girl’s fair hand was on her phone, having just replied to a message, and when she heard him asking her, she raised her head; the face beneath the cap brim was as eye-catching in the Illegal Zone as anywhere else.

But she quickly pulled down her cap brim, only showing a sharp chin, her voice slightly hoarse, as if she were still sleepy: ”It’s okay.”

”As long as it’s okay, hold on a little longer.”

Jackson Wafford valued her greatly, after all, Nathalie Quinlan was considered the rookie queen of her class at Tsinghua University, the future hope of the Chinese Medicine department, and the successor favored by Shawn Norton; just considering the face of these few people, he had to take good care of her, not to mention that Nathalie had the Yancey Family, Zachmann Family, and even a group of people like Sadam Vinson revolving around her.

Seeing that the girl seemed to be in fairly good spirits, he looked again towards Stella Iversen who had gone out to make a phone call and reassuringly said to Nathalie: ”Wait a little longer, once Professor Iversen contacts a student from the Arbitration Committee, we’ll hand over the information to them and then can go find a place to stay.”

They were already inside the hotel; normally, if they were going to stay, they definitely would stay in this hotel.

But Golden Pavilion Hotel isn’t a place where just anyone can stay.

This place gathered the elite of the Illegal Zone; unless one had status and background, it was very difficult to get a room here.

There was also another reason which gave Jackson Wafford a headache.

Golden Pavilion Hotel, when looking across all continents, was also one of the top-rated seven-star hotels, far surpassing the standard of five-star hotels domestically.

A slightly decent five-star hotel in Beijing could cost tens of thousands a night.

Not to mention Golden Pavilion Hotel.

A seven-star standard.

The sculptures they saw when entering were made of white jade, and the marble on the ground reflected its worth; even the most ordinary room in such a high-rank hotel would cost at least a hundred thousand for one night.

This time they came with a total of six people, four professors including him and Stella Iversen, plus Nathalie Quinlan.

One room per person, that makes six rooms.

More than a hundred thousand per room.

For six rooms, the cost for one night would be close to a million.

Tsinghua University has money, but that is the school’s money!

They need to stay here for at least two days, and if things don’t go smoothly, they might have to stay for a week or even up to ten days. Who can afford that expense?

It’s not possible to use Tsinghua University’s public funds to cover their hotel expenses.
