The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1032: Chapter 1032: I’ll Strive to Become Official Early in My Probation Period

”No need, I can go by myself.” Nathalie Quinlan rejected the offer without a second thought, succinctly stating, ”Anyway, I’ll let you know when I get there.”

Amadeus Yancey released his hand, allowing her to leave, pursed his thin lips without insisting further, picked up the phone beside him, and said with a light tone, ”Log in.”

”??”

His eyes narrowed slightly, and his attractive face rested next to Nathalie Quinlan as he sat down, his long legs draped over the tea table, slowly saying, ”Aren’t we going to play a game? I’ll play with you.”

”Joining Nathalie the Goddess for a game, I’ll try to perform well and get promoted from the internship period as soon as possible.”

Nathalie Quinlan: ”...”

The following day.

Capital International Airport terminal.

Jackson Wafford and several professors from the Tsinghua University research team were waiting in front of a KFC at the airport, including those professors from Stanley Zachmann’s team aside from him.

The leader was a female professor, in her fifties, wearing a light grey suit that seemed extremely well-fitted on her, presenting herself in an extremely orderly manner, with a piece of luggage resting by her feet, her hair tidied impeccably at the back of her head.

In her hand, she held a water bottle, the cap of a clear mineral water bottle was tightly screwed on, held in her hand as she approached Jackson Wafford, eyes fixed ahead.

”Principal, has that student not arrived yet?”

Jackson Wafford turned his head, looking in the direction of the airport terminal and contemplated before speaking, ”I just called Nathalie Quinlan, she said she’s on her way, will be here in ten minutes. If she arrives in ten minutes, we should be able to catch the flight.”

Stella Iversen couldn’t quite object, pursed her lips tightly, her mouth corners taut, staying silent for a moment, she frowned and looked at him, hesitating to speak, ”Principal. Are you really going to take a freshman to the Illegal Zone?”

When Nathalie Quinlan proposed joining them to the Illegal Zone yesterday, Stella Iversen was the first to disagree, but despite her opposition, Jackson Wafford still made the decision.

Nevertheless, Stella Iversen didn’t approve of his decision at all.

After all, what kind of place is the Illegal Zone, to take a student there?

If it was someone like Caryn Zachmann, who is worldly and has some family background, taking her to the Illegal Zone is another story. However, the freshman from the Department of Chinese Medicine, she inquired about and found out that she came from McKinney, having only arrived in Beijing this year after the college entrance exams.

She’s only been in Beijing for just about a month.

Stella Iversen wasn’t sure how Nathalie Quinlan got her hands on a pass for the Illegal Zone, but she was still firmly opposed to Jackson Wafford taking a student along with them.

”The Illegal Zone is chaotically managed, filled with dangers everywhere. If anything unexpected happens, how do we explain it to the student’s parents?” Stella Iversen said with a stern expression and her words carried a certain reasonability.

Jackson Wafford sighed and only replied, ”I’ve spoken to her parents, they have no objections.”

”But still...”

”Once in the Illegal Zone, we just need to keep a closer eye on her and ensure she doesn’t act alone.” Jackson Wafford spoke again before Stella Iversen could continue, ”Otherwise, what do you suggest? We don’t have a pass, Professor Iversen, can you obtain a pass?”

Nathalie Quinlan had a pass for the Illegal Zone, and she made it very clear in the office yesterday that if they want to use her pass, they would have to take her along.

So essentially, they didn’t have much of a choice in the matter.

Unless they could get hold of another similar pass.

But getting hold of a pass for the Illegal Zone—if it were so easy, that would be strange!

”...” Stella Iversen was blocked with the same reason yesterday, and today Jackson Wafford used the same reason to brush her off again.
