The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1001: Chapter 1001: Amadeus: I won’t ask, I’ll wait for her to tell me herself

After Nathalie Quinlan left the hospital, she seemed no different from usual, except that she was rather quiet and didn’t play with her phone much on the way.

However, according to his observation, Ms. Quinlan’s mood did not seem particularly bad.

Of course, anyone’s mood would be affected if their privacy was made public.

Ms. Quinlan’s mood definitely couldn’t be described as good.

Just like that.

Not too bad!

”I’ve seen some fragmented leaked news online, saying that Ms. Quinlan was kidnapped for over a year, and for some reason, she returned on her own later. This was also reported by the local news, but the Quinlan Family later paid to suppress the media heat, forbidding local media from delving deeper,” he said.

After listening to him, the man slightly lowered his eyelashes, casting a faint shadow in his eyes, leaning back on the sofa, legs propped up, fingers holding a cigarette, tapping off some ash, his eyes darkening, and he simply said, ”Don’t ask.”

”I’ll wait for her to tell me when she wants to.”

How long would he have to wait for Ms. Quinlan to want to tell! Alfred Garland wanted to say something but then saw Amadeus’ phone light up on the sofa, frowning with a serious expression, ”Amadeus, it’s Mr. Yancey’s phone call.”

When he went in to make tea just now, he also saw Young lady trying to call Amadeus, but Amadeus didn’t answer.

But at this critical moment, Young lady calling must be regarding Ms. Quinlan’s matter, probably wanting to ask Amadeus about the situation.

Mr. Yancey making a phone call at this moment must be for the same reason.

Alfred Garland glanced upstairs again.

The second floor was still quiet, no one came down.

He also didn’t know if the person upstairs had fallen asleep.

In the second-floor room, after the girl returned, she first went to take a shower, and was now just fresh out, her body draped in a loosely fitting bathrobe, only tied at the waist, revealing a section of her nape as white as the bright moon, quite slender.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t blow-dry her hair; she held a towel in her hand to wipe the dripping wet hair, seemingly impatient, and casually tied her hair up with the towel as she pulled out the chair at the desk and sat down decisively.

Her phone battery was nearly empty after playing with it for too long in the morning, so she left it to charge on the desk before entering the shower.

Now, coming back, Nathalie Quinlan turned on her phone and saw—wow, over a dozen missed calls, plus countless WhatsApp messages, text messages...

This morning, when she went out to watch a show with Candice Yancey, she set her phone to silent mode, and didn’t check it before going in for the shower.

That is to say, during just the short hour she was showering, so many people were trying to reach her.

Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyebrows.

Her razor-sharp chin lifted slightly, and no emotion could be seen in her eyes. She rested her chin on her hand and used the other hand to unlock her phone, scrolling through the list of missed calls.

Shawn Norton, Candice Yancey, Justin Wafford... all tried calling her.

In the long list of missed calls, Nathalie Quinlan also saw Mr. Yancey’s phone number, as well as Mr. Avalon’s and Lowie Wilmar’s.

Her temples hurt a little.

Without guessing, she knew what they were calling about.

Even with her toes, Nathalie Quinlan could figure out that they probably thought she was in a bad place right now and were worried about her having dark thoughts.

However, with her brow relaxed and shoulders loose, she showed none of the emotional distress that others might imagine; just as Alfred Garland assessed, her mood at this moment was neither good nor bad.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t call anyone back just yet, then lowered her head to look at the WhatsApp messages and text messages.

Too many people sent messages of concern, so she only picked a few to read.
