The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 649: Chapter 649: Planning a Grand Promotion Banquet_1

With this in mind, Ghania still holds value for being nurtured by herself.

Thinking of this, Ivy Wilmar recalled something, ”Right, is your academic achievement celebration the day after tomorrow?”

When it came to the academic achievement celebration, Ghania had mixed emotions, but pride was predominant. She nodded slightly and pursed her lips lightly, ”Yes. It’s at noon the day after tomorrow, in the banquet hall on the third floor of Narayan Hotel.

She had mentioned the location to Ivy Wilmar once before.

Ivy Wilmar didn’t spend much time in McKinney and wasn’t familiar with the hotels here, but when she heard the hotel’s name again, she realized it was a famous five-star hotel locally.

The hotel wasn’t bad.

Her face color slightly softened, and she said, ”Professor Derliand arrives tomorrow morning, so come with me to the airport to pick him up.”

”Okay.” Ghania, hearing that Derliand was arriving a day early, saw it as a sign of his high regard for her, and her face finally had some color, becoming rosy.

At times, Ivy Wilmar found it irritating how easily Ghania got excited over small kindnesses, but since she intended to use Ghania to face slap Nathalie, she pretended not to notice, suppressing the slight irritation in her heart. She smoothed her clothes and said in a mild voice, ”Apart from Professor Derliand, I’m also planning to invite a few others, some of my friends from Beijing.”

According to her original plan, Ghania’s successful apprenticeship under Shawn Norton was going to be the climax of her efforts to face slap Nathalie, and she hadn’t intended to make a big fuss over the academic achievement celebration.

Now that her plans were disrupted, she had to think differently.

”I’ve been thinking, since we’re doing this, let’s make it lively this time. After all, getting into Tsinghua University is a good thing, and since it’s a good thing, there’s no need to hide it and keep people from knowing.”

Ghania was well aware that her friends in Beijing were part of the top circle of distinguished ladies, and she couldn’t hide her excitement as she looked up.

If Ivy Wilmar were not looking down on the Quinlan family’s relatives, she wouldn’t have called her own friends to bolster the event. Speaking of which, she turned her head and looked towards Jeff Quinlan and Emilia Sullivan, ”You shouldn’t just focus on inviting relatives. For Ghania’s academic achievement celebration, I want it to be grand.”

Tucker Family.

Adelia Tucker came home and placed the invitation Cindy Lawrence had insisted on giving her on the table, removed the scarf from her neck, and looked exhausted.

”Mom, you’re back.”

The Tucker family was all there.

Enrico Tucker walked over to help her sit down and said unhappily.

”Grandma, didn’t the doctor just caution you that it’s cold outside and advised you to go out less these days to prevent catching a cold? Why did you go out again?”

When Adelia Tucker saw her favorite grandson, she smiled and said, ”Your Grandma Lawrence invited me to get some water, so I stepped out for a bit.”

The mention of Cindy Lawrence’s name caused everyone in the Tucker family’s expressions to naturally change, showing their discomfort and hesitation to speak.

Enrico Tucker was more direct, with undisguised disgust on his face, and he said coldly, ”What does she want with you again, as if she hasn’t done enough harm to our family!”

Following Hendra Wafford’s expulsion from his position, it became impossible for their family to hold their heads high in McKinney’s top circle. In the past half year, their family’s fall from grace and near exclusion from the four Great Families of McKinney were all because of the Quinlans!

He couldn’t understand why Adelia Tucker would still want to associate with those people!

Adelia Tucker’s shrewd eyes swept over her family. She was old, but in her youth, she had been formidable. She could tell that everyone’s expressions were unpleasant, but out of respect for seniority, no one spoke against her.

Looking rather pale, she sighed and said, ”She sent me an invitation, saying that they’re having Ghania’s academic achievement celebration at Narayan Hotel the day after tomorrow, and she invited me to attend.”

Enrico Tucker’s expression grew even worse, his handsome and refined face darkening as he pursed his thin lips and asked her, ”Are you going to attend?”
