The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 641: Chapter 641: Alfred Garland Decides to Trust Her_1

”Ms. Quinlan?” Alfred Garland looked at her, puzzled.

Nathalie Quinlan was remarkably composed, her brows exuding a kind of convincing power. She extended her hand to him, ”Give me a computer, I can fix this.”

Alfred was feeling quite distressed, as the situation had arisen from his own carelessness, so when someone took advantage of the chip stolen right under his watch to steal secret information from The Ninth Institute, he was more anxious and blamed himself more than anyone else. But since his own computer skills were mediocre, his anxiety was of no use; he couldn’t help, he could only fret.

Now seeing Nathalie Quinlan so confident in her ability, Alfred suddenly remembered that time he saw her programming at the Waterfront Pavilion. She had looked very skilled, not like someone who didn’t know what they were doing.

His eyes suddenly brightened, as if a drowning man had grasped a life-saving log, with a feeling of treating a dead horse as if it were alive. He instructed the technician beside him, ”Give her your computer.”

Wallace Radcliff was already extremely irritated, completely out of ideas, buzzing around like a headless fly in desperation.

Seeing that Alfred couldn’t be of any help and was ’dragging his feet’, the anger that had finally subsided within him began to rise again.

”Alfred, what are you doing! Why would you ask the technician to give her the computer? How old is she? You actually believe she can do it? If she can, I’ll eat that computer!”

Nathalie Quinlan had just taken the computer from the technician’s hands, found a place to sit down, and placed the computer on her lap. Hearing his words, she lifted her eyelids, her mouth curling into a slight, wicked smile, ”Alright, remember your words. If I can do it, you’ll eat this computer. I’ve never seen a living person eat a computer before; it’ll be quite the sight to see.”

”Sharp-tongued!”

After saying that, Wallace Radcliff huffed and continued to argue with Alfred, ”It’s this critical moment, and you’re delaying our technical team. Giving her the computer, you think she could be better than the technical team members? It’s a waste of time and energy, we’re better off letting the technical team try to intercept it again.”

”They’ve been trying to intercept it just now, did they succeed?” Alfred, having decided to trust Nathalie Quinlan, had not considered wavering and defended her like protecting a calf.

With that statement, Wallace Radcliff’s expression turned quite ugly.

The technical team he was leading took a hit.

Alfred’s words were not meant to be malicious, but they indirectly pointed out that the entire technical team had been ineffective, having worked for three hours and still getting their defense system breached.

Essentially, he trampled on the technical team once more.

Alfred always spoke his mind, without beating around the bush. After that statement, he added, ”Since they haven’t managed to intercept it with all their efforts just now, why not let Ms. Quinlan have a try? What if she succeeds?”

”You...”

Wallace Radcliff was beside himself with anger, unsure of how to respond.

He felt that Alfred was simply clutching at straws. That girl looked so young; where would she have the computer skills necessary at this time? Allocating a computer to her was a pure waste!

”They’ve already read fifty percent of the data, Mr. Radcliff. At this rate, they will copy all the information in less than eight minutes.”

”What? That fast?”

Now Wallace Radcliff truly panicked, his face swelling to the color of liver, his throat stuffed with cotton, unable to speak.

Alfred subconsciously looked towards Nathalie Quinlan.

The girl sitting there was calm and collected, seemingly just getting familiar with the computer, her eyebrows raised, exuding an air of nonchalance.

”Seventy percent now.”

Bad news kept coming, one after another, and Alfred felt a chill in his heart, beginning to despair.
