The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 647: Chapter 647: Ghania Quinlan Hears the Sound of a Shattered Dream_1

Ghania Quinlan’s eyelashes trembled, unable to look at Ivy Wilmar’s expression. She hooked her fingers around her neck, not daring to raise her head, ”It’s okay.”

Her tone nearly broke into tears—how could that sound like someone who was okay?

Jeff Quinlan had not expected such a turn of events either; he was the only one in the family who could maintain a relatively calm mindset. He said in a low voice, ”You shouldn’t think too much about it. She’s excellent, and you’re not bad either. Don’t negate yourself just because of someone else.”

Ghania Quinlan couldn’t even muster a simple ’hm.’

She didn’t care if other people were better than her; the world was so big, and there were so many people, and she didn’t even know those who were better than her!

But she couldn’t accept Nathalie Quinlan being better than her!

She had obviously... obviously worked so hard, and she thought she had long left Nathalie Quinlan behind, entering a new class!

She had believed herself to be standing above the clouds, looking down on the people and happenings of McKinney. Yet, just at this moment, it seemed like fate enjoyed playing tricks on her.

Ghania Quinlan gripped her phone, unable to articulate the suffocating feeling of being crushed and unable to breathe.

She had successfully gotten into Tsinghua University, smoothly obtained Ivy Wilmar’s help, and all she needed was to successfully attend the music exchange and become Mr. Norton’s student.

Her future was boundless.

Yet, at this moment, Nathalie Quinlan emerged out of nowhere; the one who should have failed the entrance exam got into Tsinghua University as well, with better grades than her.

This was tolerable.

But the step she thought she could climb further, Shawn Norton, had also taken an interest in Nathalie Quinlan. While she was still preparing, Nathalie Quinlan had already become Shawn Norton’s only student.

What about her, then?

What was she supposed to do?

Ivy Wilmar didn’t know about Nathalie Quinlan getting into Tsinghua University. What would she think of her when she found out?

Ghania Quinlan was in complete turmoil and couldn’t listen to Jeff Quinlan talking to her.

She didn’t understand nor did she want to understand those grand principles. She only knew that Shawn Norton would only take one student, Nathalie Quinlan had taken her place, and she would not be able to become Shawn Norton’s student.

All of her efforts until now had been in vain!

”Bang!” Ivy Wilmar slammed the table hard, her pretty face distorting, as she hissed through her teeth, ”Sure enough, the barking dog doesn’t bite, and the biting dog doesn’t bark! She really knows how to play her cards, even getting on Mr. Norton’s good side. Who knows who she used her connections with!”

She just stopped short of saying Nathalie Quinlan climbed up using her connection with Amadeus Yancey.

”And she has the nerve to use your composition, what’s that supposed to mean, a provocation? Believe it or not, I can have someone expose her!”

Ivy Wilmar only knew that Ghania Quinlan’s composition, which got second place, was later judged to be plagiarized.

She had asked Ghania Quinlan, and the explanation given was that at the time, Ghania Quinlan had asked Nathalie Quinlan to help her revise the piece, but Nathalie Quinlan only made minor changes. Later, Nathalie Quinlan turned against her, claiming the piece was her own work, which led to Ghania Quinlan being judged as a plagiarist, and her second-place award was also canceled...

According to her narrative, Nathalie Quinlan’s act of using the composition again in public was undeniably shameless.

Upon hearing this, Ghania Quinlan became more panicked than anyone, her beautiful face turning pale as she quickly said, ”Auntie, let’s not do that. The issue with the composition has happened too far back, bringing it up now would make it difficult to explain clearly. It might even give her the chance to turn around and attack us, creating a persona for herself. Better to leave it unsaid...”

Ivy Wilmar was thoroughly disgusted and also realized that bringing up old grievances was pointless. Besides, with Jecksen Wilmar still in their hands, if they openly conflicted with them, they could bring up Jecksen Wilmar to hurt them in a vulnerable spot.

She endured and let out a sigh, with her tightly knit brows slightly relaxing, ”It’s a good thing you got into Tsinghua University...”
