The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 610: Chapter 610: You Also Know How to Play Stocks?_1

Helpless with Sadam Vinson and the others present, even if Nathalie Quinlan was a bit ungrateful, he didn’t have a good opportunity to lose his temper, he could only force a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, and said with a cold sneer, ”It seems that little sister’s academic performance is quite good.”

”Not bad.” Unexpectedly, Nathalie Quinlan actually responded, with a lightness in her brows and eyes, readily admitting it.

Choked by her response, the man suffered a dumb loss.

Govert Griffin, being a very astute person, immediately gave the man who seemed to want to retaliate a warning look.

He quickly smiled and made peace, ”It’s rare that we get out to have fun, why talk about studying, it’s not like we’re in school. Come on, let’s talk about something else. Hiss, right, Beijing is going to have some cultural festival activity soon. There’s been a lot more people coming to Penny Parkway to play recently, what event is that?”

”Ah, that thing, yeah, it’s an event where people wear traditional costumes and parade in the streets. I heard a lot of students from other places rushed over to participate; it’s quite lively.” Someone chimed in.

All of them were smart people, and the atmosphere warmed up again with each person contributing a line.

Nathalie Quinlan was happy with the quiet, playing with her phone with her head down.

She nestled on the edge of the sofa, the faint light from her phone illuminating her pale profile, her hands moving from time to time as if playing a game, which made Sadam Vinson curious enough to ignore the lively atmosphere in the private room and lean over to look at her phone, asking, ”Playing a game?”

Nathalie Quinlan, having a good impression of him, didn’t hide anything and briskly manipulated the things on her screen, nodding.

However, Sadam Vinson saw the colorful lines on her phone screen. It wasn’t any game; she was clearly trading stocks!

His face showed surprise, looking at the girl with her eyes downcast, all leisure and focus, he asked in amazement, ”You trade stocks?”

Amadeus’ sister seemed to know quite a few things.

Nathalie Quinlan lifted her hand to sell a stock and then returned to the previous page, replying with a nonchalant air, ”Just playing around.”

”Not much money involved,” she added, pausing briefly to explain.

”Tsk.” Sadam Vinson guessed that at her age, playing with stocks probably meant just dabbling with pocket money, and she couldn’t have really spent much.

Without a second thought, he bent over to pick up his phone from the table and turned back to ask Nathalie Quinlan, ”Nathalie, what’s your WhatsApp number?”

Nathalie Quinlan looked up at him and, seeing that he wanted to add her as a contact, sluggishly brought up her WhatsApp QR code and handed it over to him.

Sadam Vinson scanned the code and immediately sent a verification message.

Nathalie Quinlan approved it.

The next second, a transfer popped up.

Sadam Vinson has sent you a transfer of 100000.

Nathalie Quinlan’s finger paused, counting the digits on the screen: one, ten, hundred, thousand, ten-thousand, a six-figure number, exactly 100,000.

After transferring the money, Sadam Vinson lifted his head and said briskly, ”Consider this a small red envelope from your brother for our first meeting. You like playing with stocks? Use this to play, and it won’t hurt if you lose.”

Just at that moment, Nathalie Quinlan’s phone vibrated.

The transaction information for the stock she had just sold came through, along with the deal’s successful completion and transaction amount.

The amount started with a 1 as well, but was followed by three more zeros.

Sadam Vinson, too far to see the amount of the transaction, remained unaware.

Nathalie Quinlan silently deleted the message, then went back and returned the transfer in her WhatsApp, casually lifting her head and tugging down her hat brim, her eyes and eyebrows serene, speaking in a slightly husky voice, ”This gift is too valuable, I can’t accept it.”

When Sadam Vinson saw the money returned to his phone, he pondered for a moment, also feeling that he might have been too presumptuous.

A hundred thousand to him was a trivial amount, but for Nathalie Quinlan it was not necessarily the case. It was normal for her to feel hesitant about accepting it for the first time they met.
