Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 392: 392 turns out there’s someone behind it

Not to mention Han Yan, even Hua Yuezi, Mu Nan, and the others behind her thought it strange. Why did the servants of the Yuan Family all look so confident today, as if they were pumped up on chicken blood and by mistake had injected it into their brains? It was well known that Yuan Tianbo had suffered loss after loss at the hands of Han Yan — he probably had a shadow in his heart from those experiences. Yet, he was acting so ”tough” this time. What was going on?

Han Yan’s mind was filled with doubts. She suppressed the anger in her heart and picked up the tea. She wanted to see what Yuan Tianbo was relying on to be so arrogant.

With a sip of the tea, Han Yan nearly spat it out. What kind of tea was this? It was bitter and astringent, enough to make one’s teeth sore.

Han Yan looked up and glanced sideways at the maid.

The maid said with a smile, ”This is a fine tea specially prepared by Young Master Tian Bo for Lord Mu. Does Young Master Mu find it unsuitable to his taste?”

Her attitude was still respectful, but her eyes carried an obvious hint of mockery.

Fine tea? Han Yan looked at the soggy leaves inside the cup. Even the cheapest tea house in Heishi City served better leaves than these.

Han Yan realized, whether it was the guards before or this maid right now, they were all trying to put her in her place.

This Yuan Tianbo, he really had grown a spine. Han Yan’s curiosity intensified.

Not wanting to lower herself to argue with servants, Han Yan set the tea aside and closed her eyes to rest.

Seeing even a mere maid daring to act so arrogantly, Hua Yuezi, Zirong, and the others were also seething with suppressed anger. But seeing that Han Yan held back, they pressed down their ire.

After waiting for more than half an hour, Yuan Tianbo still hadn’t appeared, and Han Yan’s anger was becoming increasingly difficult to contain. This little bastard Yuan Tianbo, his guts had grown fat, eh? It seemed she hadn’t been hard enough on him before. She would need to be more relentless!

”Is Yuan Tianbo even here? If he is, tell him to roll out here immediately!” Han Yan stared at the maid, saying coldly.

It had to be said that Big Playboy Mu had been strutting around Heishi City for years, not without real mettle. As this playboy aura erupted, under her icy and detached gaze that seemed enigmatic, the maid gradually became uneasy and her face color changed.

Seeing the unmistakable fear in the other’s eyes, Han Yan felt a peculiar satisfaction: Evil does indeed require an evil-doer to deal with it. Now you know fear, eh? But... fear aside, why are you grabbing your collar? Do you think you’re something I’d be attracted to? Pah! No, that’s not the point! How could she possibly be interested in a woman?

”I’ll go find Young Master Tian Bo now,” said the maid, her face turning from pale to flushed as she ran off toward the inner courtyard like one escaping.

”There’s no need, my apologies for the intrusion, Young Master Mu. I’m sorry for not welcoming you sooner.” Just then, Yuan Tianbo’s voice came from the entrance.

Han Yan turned her head to see Yuan Tianbo’s annoyingly smug face and the arrogantly composed young man beside him.

Ye Fengyun! Han Yan recognized him at a glance — this young man was Wenren Qingqiu’s top disciple, Ye Fengyun.

She remembered that the last time they met, Ye Fengyun had shown her no courtesy, and now he had joined forces with Yuan Tianbo... Han Yan had a hunch about the source of Yuan Tianbo’s newfound courage.

”Young Master Mu, we meet again,” Ye Fengyun said, tilting his chin up slightly in a tone of haughty indifference.

”Yes, I didn’t expect Young Master Ye to have connections with the Yuan Family,” Han Yan replied lightly.
