Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

”What’s the happy occasion? You’re so excited this early in the morning?” Han Yan asked, then watching Mu Nan scarf down her steamed buns in just a few bites felt a pang of pain, ”Why didn’t you eat at your place before coming over?”

”Wow, Brother Han Yan, don’t be so stingy, alright? You’re so rich now, I’m just eating a few of your buns,” Mu Nan exclaimed in surprise, looking at Han Yan’s pained expression. He murmured to himself with disdain. Brother Han Yan was really something—generous when giving away Elixirs, generous when sharing profits with the Chamber of Commerce, but making a fuss over a few buns as if it were a matter of life and death. It was truly, truly... absurd! ”Just now, Housekeeper Sun had someone send a message, mentioning that the Chamber of Commerce’s recent business has been good and suggesting we go have a look,” Mu Nan quickly added.

The Nanyan Commerce was a project into which he’d poured too much effort and carried many of his dreams, so hearing that business was going well had Mu Nan glowing with excitement, as if infused with chicken blood.

”Alright, let’s go,” Han Yan said after finishing a bowl of porridge and a few more steamed buns, wiping her mouth.

She also had a share in the Nanyan Commerce, although it was something Mu Nan had foisted upon her, but since she was reaping the benefits, she should fulfill the responsibilities that came with them. It wasn’t right to only take advantage and do nothing in return. Moreover, she had promised Mu Nan to do her best to help fulfill his wishes and make the Nanyan Commerce the strongest in the entire Anyun Country, even the entire Holy Court Continent.

Additionally, her experiences from her previous life had told Han Yan that to become a true powerhouse, one couldn’t do without cultivation resources. The higher one’s cultivation, the greater the need for cultivation resources, all of which required strong financial support.

Therefore, countless cultivators existed in the world, and among the commoners, there were not a few with exceptional natural talents. However, the vast majority of skilled practitioners still came from prominent families, and commoners with great talents had to attach themselves to a family at a certain level if they hoped to achieve greater success.

Accompanied by Huayue and Zirong, they quickly arrived at the Nanyan Commerce.

Seeing the ceaseless stream of people at the entrance, they almost doubted whether they had come to the wrong place. The Nanyan Commerce had always been a bit busier than the market in Heishi City, but it had never been this bustling—it was near impossible to squeeze through the crowd.

”Young Master, Sixth Young Master, this way,” Che Xiang called out, waving his hand not far away.

Because neither of them wanted to reveal their identities too soon, they were addressed in the Chamber of Commerce as Young Master and Sixth Young Master.

Following Che Xiang through a newly opened concealed side door into the Chamber of Commerce, they were even more shocked to see the market courtyard packed with rows upon rows of densely arranged stalls and the teeming crowds.

Inside the main hall, an auction was being held with Housekeeper Sun personally presiding, and Qu Shanling sitting by. The bids from the crowd were coming in waves, creating an extremely lively atmosphere.

Adjacent rooms had been partitioned to host several other auctions, overseen by Qu Shanling’s two disciples and the helpers trained by Housekeeper Sun. Although smaller in scale, they were just as extraordinarily lively.

Han Yan and Mu Nan exchanged glances—the excitement of such a scene was unheard of, not only in a remote small town like Heishi City but even in Nanxi County or the Capital.

Originally, Mu Nan had felt that achieving his goals were too distant and difficult, but now, it didn’t seem as hard as he had imagined.

”Housekeeper Sun has instructed that if the two Young Masters arrive, they are to be invited to the back garden for tea first; he will come over very soon after he’s finished,” Che Xiang said.
