Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 97: Chapter 97: The Eldest Sister-in-Law Who Eloped with Someone Else 9

”Captain, Liu Fusheng and his three siblings treat me this way, I definitely can’t live with him anymore, but I can’t just silently break up with him like this.”

”I want to go to the department to find Liu Fusheng.”

”Captain, I came to you to ask you to issue me a letter of introduction, and then help me get a marriage certificate.”

”At the beginning, when we got married, I was underage and we didn’t get a marriage certificate. Moreover, because his parents had not yet completed the memorial, we didn’t hold a banquet. However, we did invite a few elders from the village and your village officials to be our witnesses, and distributed wedding candies to the villagers.”

As soon as Yuan Chun entered the team office, she started crying and complaining.

She poured out her grievances in one breath, then looked at the captain eagerly.

The captain sighed and advised her, ”In this matter, the Liu Family is at fault, but don’t rush. Let’s discuss your trip to the department slowly; we don’t feel comfortable letting a woman go there alone.”

”Captain, I must go to the department. Please give me the certificate and the letter of introduction. Don’t worry, I at least graduated from junior high, I’ll be fine.”

”This...”

The captain hesitated.

Yuan Chun said, ”Captain, I beg you, if I don’t make a trip to the department, I won’t be able to focus on my work at home.”

”Alright then, I’ll issue you a letter of introduction, and also prepare a certificate, which will be signed by several of our village officials.”

”Thank you, Captain.”

Yuan Chun breathed a sigh of relief; it was finally done.

Yesterday, the commotion caused by the Liu Family was so intense that their affairs had spread throughout the village, and the captain had heard about it too.

The captain disdained the behavior of the Liu Family.

Back then, the marriage between the two was officiated by him, and now such an incident occurred, which was a disgrace to him and to the entire Yunqiao Team.

How could he face the captain of the Banqiao Team when attending meetings at the commune in the future?

With a heavy heart, the captain prepared the letter of introduction, stamped it along with a blank one, and handed it to Yuan Chun, ”Yuan Chun, you might be gone for several days, so I’ll give you a blank letter of introduction too. If you can’t make it back in time, just fill in a date on the blank one.”

”Okay, thank you, Captain.”

Great.

This way, she could stay out a little longer.

The captain also prepared the marriage certificate, had other village officials sign it one by one, and handed it to Yuan Chun, advising her to keep it safe.

Yuan Chun carefully collected the certificates and expressed her gratitude repeatedly, then with a worried expression, said, ”Captain, could I send the piglets back to the production team? I’m not home, and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law can’t take care of pigs, I’m worried they might starve the pigs.”

The captain thought about those two who had never done a day’s work, and he wasn’t comfortable letting them take care of the piglets. He said, ”I’ll have your aunt go to your house and drive the piglets to the production team’s pen. Your household’s pig-raising task can be considered unclaimed this year, and the pig feed for these piglets in the coming days, I’ll account for in work points for you.”

”Okay, thank you, Captain.”

Yuan Chun thanked him repeatedly.

The captain was a retired soldier, a good man, very righteous, and worked for the villagers. So when he learned what Liu Fusheng and his siblings had done, his first thought was that Liu Fusheng had disgraced the honor of a soldier.

He was unworthy as a soldier.

Unworthy as a person.

The captain deeply regretted consenting to being the witness for their marriage at Liu Fusheng’s request back then, feeling he let Yuan Chun down.

The captain’s thoughts weren’t known to Yuan Chun.

Not long after she returned home, the captain’s wife arrived.

Because there were still two people lying on the floor of the main room, Yuan Chun didn’t let the captain’s wife in but directly led her to the pig pen to take the two piglets away.
