Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Mysterious owl, different blue starAfter feeling the weight on his shoulder, Lin Feng quickly stopped his steps back to the Elevator.

Was it that owl?

Lin Feng turned his head slightly and indeed touched something furry; upon closer inspection, it was precisely that mysterious owl.

The owl’s appearance surprised Lin Feng, and suddenly, Lin Feng’s vision became blurry.

The scene shifted, and a scene of Blue Star actually appeared before Lin Feng.

“What’s going on?”

Looking at the familiar street in front of him, Lin Feng thought for a moment that he had been teleported to Blue Star by the owl.

However, when he saw a person walk directly through his body, he realized that he had no physical form.

“That’s strange….”

Lin Feng frowned, wondering why the owl wanted him to see this.

Just then, the owl appeared again and flicked out a feather; remembering the results from the scanning gun before, Lin Feng quickly caught the feather.

Then, the owl stood on a tattered newspaper scattered on the ground and patted it with its claw.

“Are you telling me to look at it?”

Lin Feng walked forward in confusion; since he had no physical form, he could only squat down and lean his head in to look.

The newspaper’s date was October 1, 2023.

And if Lin Feng remembered correctly, the current date was November 11.

It was a newspaper from one month ago. It seemed that the time he first entered the Survival World was also around then, right?

Lin Feng continued to look at the newspaper.

To his surprise, it only recorded the large-scale disappearance of humans, followed by ordinary news; there was no news of a zombie virus, supernatural events, or the return of the disappeared humans.

Normally, such things could not possibly not be recorded in the newspaper.

After all, Lin Feng remembered that the last time he returned to Blue Star, where the disappeared humans went was a hot topic across the entire internet.

Just as Lin Feng wanted to continue looking, his vision blurred again, as if he had just woken up from a nap, and he suddenly opened his eyes.

After feeling the cold temperature around him, Lin Feng quickly came to his senses, only to realize that the countdown to the Elevator closing was down to ten seconds.

“Holy crap!”

Lin Feng exclaimed, then quickly rushed back.

“Damn it, how did I get distracted just now?”

Lin Feng rubbed his head, having no impression whatsoever of what had just happened.

“Huang Xiaodou, get down here!”

Feeling something furry on his neck, Lin Feng thought it was Huang Xiaodou playing tricks; however, when he saw Huang Xiaodou, who was looking bewildered while lying next to the little dragon’s mouth, he also became bewildered.

“Squeak squeak! Ben Shu is warming himself by the fire, what’s wrong??”

“Then… what is this thing?”

Lin Feng reached out and grabbed it, discovering it was a feather.

The moment he touched the feather, the memories from that period of time instantly appeared in his mind.

“So that’s how it is….”

That owl was indeed extraordinary.

After scanning this feather with the scanning gun, the data also changed to: [?? Feather, 2/10]

“It really wants me to collect all these feathers…”

Recalling the scene he had just seen because of that owl, Lin Feng felt a moment of hesitation.

The recent scene was completely opposite to the Blue Star he had seen.

But Lin Feng also didn’t know what the owl’s appearance meant, so he didn’t overthink it. Now he had a new goal: to collect all the feathers.

It seemed the owl always appeared around the time he upgraded the Elevator.

“Let’s upgrade the Elevator first.”

Lin Feng took out the treasure he needed to submit to the Elevator and scanned it with the scanning gun.

Beep!

[? Fragment, possesses extremely powerful and terrifying energy. Legend has it that no one has ever been able to control this energy. Its best destination is to be scattered throughout the world….]

“Damn it, why is it an unknown item again?”

Lin Feng pouted, just about to complain about the system, when he suddenly thought of a possibility.

Could it be that contact with this information would be dangerous for him right now, which is why the system’s scanner showed question marks?

Lin Feng knew that even if he asked the system, it wouldn’t respond, but he had already accepted this possibility in his heart.

Arriving in front of the material stacking area, Lin Feng was about to submit this cube but suddenly hesitated.

Because the last sentence of the scan result was that its best destination was to be scattered throughout the world.

The meaning was clear: this thing could not be controlled by any person or consciousness.

So, was submitting it to the Elevator really the correct choice?

But if he didn’t submit it to the Elevator, the system wouldn’t be able to upgrade, and he wouldn’t be able to explore the mysterious Survival World more deeply.

“Forget it, I’ll submit it.”

Lin Feng sighed and threw the cube into the material stacking area.

[Ding dong! Congratulations, Seeker Lin Feng, for completing the upgrade permission quest. The Elevator can now be upgraded.]

Seeing the Elevator upgrade button light up, Lin Feng clicked it without hesitation.

The next moment, the Elevator began to expand. This time, the expansion was not large, only extending outwards by a dozen centimeters.

However, the Elevator’s new prompt truly brought Lin Feng a pleasant surprise.

That was, he finally didn’t have to wait by the Elevator every day like a miserable laborer for the floors to refresh!

[Ding dong! Congratulations, Seeker Lin Feng, your Elevator level has been upgraded to Level 23. From now on, the floors you encounter will not have mandatory entry floors; you can choose whether or not to enter. All floor times are extended to 24 hours. At the same time, floor difficulty is significantly increased, and rewards are slightly increased.

Floor refresh time is changed to refresh once every 24 hours.]

“That’s great, haha, I finally don’t have to wait for the Elevator to refresh every day.”

The 12-hour refresh floors have become 24-hour refresh floors, which means Lin Feng has more time to explore permanent floors, and even if the floors refresh.

Lin Feng also doesn’t have to worry about encountering mandatory entry floors that would directly teleport him back.

“Beep, congratulations, Host, for completing the quest. A random ability extraction gift package has been issued. Do you want to use it?”

“Beep, congratulations, Host, for completing the upgrade quest. Reward: one system upgrade opportunity. Do you want to use it?”

“Beep, upgrade quest triggered. Host, please upgrade the Elevator to Level 24. Reward: one opportunity to upgrade any skill to max level.”

.........

After the Elevator’s broadcast ended, a series of system prompts immediately sounded.

Lin Feng answered them one by one.

“Use the ability extraction gift package, use one system upgrade opportunity.”

“Beep, usage successful. Extracting ability…”

“Beep, congratulations, Host, you have obtained Liquid Ability. Please check it in the attribute panel.”
