Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Kuze learns American style Iai”I’m here for you.”

”For me?”

Brother Kuze chuckled, then led Lin Feng directly to the house he was temporarily staying in.

It had to be said that rich people were truly extravagant; even their temporary residence was a courtyard with a garden and a rockery.

And such a large place was surprisingly occupied by him alone.

”Oh, by the way, Brother, what’s your name?”

Brother Kuze casually asked as he led Lin Feng to a pavilion by the rockery.

”Lin Feng.”

”Lin? That surname is quite uncommon. By the way, what can I do for you? Is that outfit of yours for sale?”

Brother Kuze said while pouring Lin Feng a cup of iced tea, completely devoid of any airs of a rich young master.

Indeed, if he had any airs, he would have a retinue of servants accompanying him at all times, and he wouldn’t be talking to Lin Feng.

Lin Feng took a sip of water and didn’t beat around the bush, directly stating his desire to learn magic.

”Brother Lin, if you want to learn magic, I can’t decide that. You need to get tested to see if you have an affinity for magic. Speaking of which, isn’t that something supposed to be tested at birth? Why haven’t you been tested?”

Brother Kuze couldn’t help but laugh when he heard Lin Feng’s request.

”Uh, I guess you could say it was an accident. I was born in the wilderness, and after I could remember, I never saw my parents. Instead, I was raised by an Old Blind Man. Later, my only relative also passed away.”

Lin Feng’s voice trembled slightly as he choked out his life story.

His explosive acting left Brother Kuze and Huang Dou, who was hidden in Lin Feng’s pocket, stunned.

Brother Kuze was even rendered speechless.

”I’m sorry, Brother Lin...”

”It’s fine, it’s all in the past. I’m doing quite well now.”

Lin Feng wiped away the tears he had forced out, acting as if it were nothing.

Brother Kuze: I’m truly a dead man!

To show his apology, Brother Kuze handed Lin Feng a business card and told him to go to that place for an affinity test. If he mentioned his name, it would be free.

As for whether Lin Feng could learn magic, that depended on fate.

However, in Brother Kuze’s opinion, even if Lin Feng could learn, it was already too late to start now. Normally, people began practicing around seven or eight years old.

Lin Feng’s age was clearly too late.

But Brother Kuze didn’t tell Lin Feng this bad news.

He was afraid of disheartening Lin Feng further.

”Brother Kuze, thank you! If I ever get the chance to obtain that outfit again, I’ll definitely give you one. Oh, and here’s something for you. If you like hunting, it should be quite useful for you. I made it myself.”

Lin Feng wiped his tears dry and took out a finely crafted revolver from his spatial ring.

He had forgotten where he got it from; perhaps it was from an Elevator of some Seeker.

”It’s nothing. I’ve already told my tailor the style of your outfit. It’ll be ready in a few days.”

Brother Kuze waved his hand, casually taking the revolver Lin Feng handed him.

Hearing this, Lin Feng couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for the tailor. Asking a tailor who makes clothes to make battle armor? He had to admit, that was truly something else.

”What is this thing?”

”This is a revolver, firing .50 caliber bullets. And this is its ammunition.”

Lin Feng took out a box of bullets and then fully loaded the cylinder.

He fired a shot at the rockery.

Bang!

A bullet hole instantly appeared on the rockery.

Brother Kuze’s interest was immediately piqued.

He quickly asked Lin Feng to teach him how to use it.

In the end, Lin Feng spent more than ten minutes teaching Brother Kuze how to safely use the gun, and even left him over a hundred rounds of ammunition.

Watching Brother Kuze play with great enjoyment, Lin Feng smiled with satisfaction. His plan was very successful.

The reason Lin Feng suddenly gave Brother Kuze the handgun was to deepen their relationship. Although they had just met, Lin Feng had already realized that this wealthy young master with a strong background was very interested in new things.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have paid a high price for Lin Feng’s battle armor.

Sure enough, after Brother Kuze fired a few shots, he immediately fell in love with the gun. Later, Lin Feng even taught Brother Kuze the American Quickdraw technique.

He had him thoroughly hooked, and at the same time, Lin Feng’s relationship with him also improved.

After learning that Lin Feng had spent two and a half years crafting this revolver and that it was the only one of its kind in the world, Brother Kuze became even more fond of it.

”Brother Lin, you should go test your magic affinity as soon as possible. If you pass, I’ll find a way to get you into the Magic Academy.”

”Alright, then I thank you.”

Lin Feng said with a smile.

”Haha, you gave me such a precious gift, I should be thanking you!”

”Then I’ll be going now, Brother Kuze.”

Seeing Brother Kuze enjoying himself, Lin Feng suggested leaving.

”Hey, wait a moment. If I leave here, just write a letter to this address, and I’ll come pick you up when I see it.”

Brother Kuze handed him a slip of paper, then personally saw Lin Feng off.

.........

”Where is this place...”

Looking at the address Brother Kuze gave him for the magic affinity test, Lin Feng felt a bit troubled.

”Oh, right, why don’t I just buy a map!”

Returning to the library, Lin Feng directly asked Blue Bird for a map to Lantern City.

The magic affinity testing institution was located in Lantern City.

Soon, the little blue bird flew towards Lin Feng, holding a rolled-up map.

Opening it, he saw that it appeared to be a regional map.

It showed the town Lin Feng was currently in, as well as the path to Lantern City.

Finally, Lin Feng spent one hundred copper coins to buy the map.

”It’s quite far.”

Lin Feng murmured, looking at the distance marked on the map.

Even flying there would probably take a day and a night.

If the Elevator refreshed some floors with very good rewards along the way and Lin Feng missed them, it would be a great pity.

”Forget it, I’ve come this far, I’ll just go directly.”

Shaking off the thoughts in his mind, Lin Feng decided to first go to this place to test his talent.

As for the refreshed floors of the Elevator, as long as they weren’t mandatory entries, he would just miss them. Mandatory entry floors should also teleport him directly back to the Elevator, right?

”Squeak! Where are you going now?”

Huang Dou, who was lying in his pocket, saw that Lin Feng was not preparing to return to the Elevator and rested his chin boredly, looking at the scenery outside.

”To a distant place. You stay here for now; you won’t starve.”

”Alright, make sure to keep the delicious food for Little Dragon safe, don’t let it spoil.”

”Hahaha, I didn’t expect you to care so much about Little Dragon.”

”Squeak, squeak, squeak! Of course! Little Dragon is Ben Shu’s number one little brother after all.”

.........

Flying from day to night, Lin Feng had already left the town far behind. At this moment, he was taking a short rest under a large tree.

”Beep, the host is about to enter an exploration floor. The host will cooperate with two Seekers to explore a floor and then leave together. This floor has a small amount of valuable items. Entry to this floor cannot be refused. No items can be carried into this floor.”
