Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Remove the curse, wastewater restricted areaNightmare Curse?

Looking at the unfamiliar words, Lin Feng could roughly guess that it wasn’t a good thing.

However, when did he get it?

While challenging the Floor?

Lin Feng carefully recalled the strange occurrences when he cleared the challenge Floor.

After reviewing it from start to finish, it seemed that only the fake Floor Merchant was somewhat unusual.

He inexplicably attacked him, then suddenly disappeared.

Lin Feng was still wondering what kind of trick that fake Floor Merchant creature was pulling, and it turned out he had cast a curse on him.

Nightmare Curse...

If Lin Feng remembered correctly, he had previously asked Kola, and Kola said that Nightmare Fruit was used to counter nightmares, and that he shouldn’t eat too many.

After the challenge Floor ended, a Nightmare Fruit was rewarded, so he might as well eat it directly.

Lest something happen if he delayed too long.

After taking out the Nightmare Fruit, Lin Feng scanned it with his scanning gun to confirm its effects and lack of side effects, then he ate the Nightmare Fruit.

The texture of the Nightmare Fruit was not as crisp as imagined; instead, it was somewhat soft.

It was slightly sweet, and after eating it, Lin Feng’s tongue felt a little numb for some reason.

After waiting for a while, Lin Feng opened his personal panel again to check, only to find that the Nightmare Curse was still there.

However, its color had become much lighter.

”Do I need to eat a few more?”

At this point, the Nightmare Curse’s label was already semi-transparent, so he probably needed to eat one more Nightmare Fruit to completely clear the curse.

Arriving at the Exchange, Lin Feng searched inside, and to his surprise, he couldn’t find any.

Nightmare Fruit shouldn’t be anything very important, after all, its only purpose is to clear the Nightmare Curse.

It doesn’t heal injuries, nor does it enhance strength.

With so many Seekers, not a single one is selling it?!

Lin Feng didn’t believe that among so many people, he was the only one who had obtained a Nightmare Fruit.

Currently, there are still about one billion Seekers in the entire Elevator Survival World.

With so many people, how could Lin Feng be the only one who had picked one up?

After opening the chat room, Lin Feng sent a message inside.

Lin Feng: [Who has Nightmare Fruit? I’ll buy one for fifty gold coins, only two, first come, first served.]

[What is Nightmare Fruit? I have Nightmare Wood, will that work?]

[Nightmare Fruit? Do you have a picture, Lin Da Lao? I got a lot of fruits before, but I usually just ate them directly after getting them.]

[Aren’t you afraid of poison, upstairs?]

[This is called ’life and death are predestined, wealth and honor are in the heavens’, do you understand?!]

Lin Feng: [Nightmare Fruit is purple, here’s a picture.]

Lin Feng had just discovered that the Elevator’s chat room now allowed sending pictures; there was a camera icon hanging at the bottom of the screen that could be used to take a picture of the desired item.

[Holy crap, I picked up this fruit before, and I ate it directly!]

[666, you’re like Shennong tasting a hundred herbs, huh?]

[What is this fruit for? I’ve never even seen it.]

[I know, just by the name, it must be related to nightmares.]

[Lin Dad, I have one here, I’ve put it up for sale!]

...

Soon, Lin Feng’s private messages exploded again, but most were inquiries about the Nightmare Fruit’s effects, as well as people trying to curry favor with Lin Feng.

Searching the Exchange again, this time ten Nightmare Fruit trade orders successfully appeared.

Worried that this situation might occur again in the future, Lin Feng bought all ten Nightmare Fruits this time.

Fifty gold coins each, ten would be five hundred gold coins.

After buying them, Lin Feng browsed the Exchange again, only to find that the prices of goods in the Exchange had become much higher than before.

For example, when he first entered the Elevator Survival World, a bottle of clean water was 0.5 gold coins, but now it costs 1 gold coin or even 1.5 gold coins.

Lin Feng didn’t know the specific reason, but it didn’t affect him anyway; he could now be completely self-sufficient.

Perhaps the reason for the increase in item prices at the Exchange was that some merchants were hoarding them.

After eating another Nightmare Fruit, the Nightmare Curse’s label indeed disappeared this time.

”That should solve the problem now.”

Lin Feng nodded contentedly, tossing the remaining Nightmare Fruits into his cowhide backpack.

”Mr. Lin Feng, the barbecue is ready. Would you like to eat now?”

”Mm, let’s eat. Are those two guys ready?”

”They’re ready. Little Dragon and Huangdou’s only had a little salt added.”

101 said, bringing over the plate of skewers.

After eating, Lin Feng practiced his Collapsing Mountain Fist for a while before going to rest.

After an unknown period, the Elevator’s notification sounded.

”Beep, the Floor the host is about to enter is: Wastewater Restricted Area. This Floor contains a large amount of toxic substances and a large number of mutated creatures. Please consider carefully whether to enter.”

”Note, this Floor can be optionally entered, and any items can be brought into this Floor.”

”Beep, mission issued: Please clear all mutated creatures in this Floor, Reward: Random Ability Gift Pack.”

Lin Feng: ???

”Abilities? Like lightning, fire, or water spraying?”

”Beep, yes, host.”

Good heavens, is this mission that simple?

Lin Feng believed that any Floor that allowed him to bring items in would not be difficult.

They were basically welfare rounds.

Oh, right, the system said this Floor has a lot of toxic substances?

Lin Feng quickly put on his Armor, and after asking Big Black, he learned that the 01 Type Armor could resist various toxic gases and various radiation hazards. Hearing this, Lin Feng was relieved.

Since that’s the case, he wouldn’t let Little Dragon and the others go into this Floor; he would go in by himself. After putting on his backpack and equipping himself, the Elevator’s broadcast sound just happened to ring out.

[Ding dong! The Elevator is descending, please hold on tight.]

...

After some operation, the Elevator steadily stopped, and the radiation symbol above the Elevator door flashed once, then slowly opened.

Lin Feng then remembered that the Elevator’s door had been equipped with radiation protection during an upgrade a long time ago.

The indicator light just flashed again, could it be that the toxic substance in this place is radiation?

After leaving the Elevator, the Elevator did not disappear this time, meaning Lin Feng only had five hours to explore this Floor.

This place, called the Wastewater Restricted Area, looked like a small Town; there was a lot of water on the ground, but the water was mostly green.

”Big Black, activate the life detector.”

”Alright, sir, life detection radar activated.”

”Sir, it is detected that the radiation value in your current area is high. Please do not take off your Armor. Current radiation value: 2600mSv.”
