Ruling Martial World by Infinite Insect Swarms

Chapter 109: Chapter 107: The Dragon Race’s Bloodline Curse

SPLASH!

The Insect Swarm, having just concluded two battles at the bottom of the lake, did not pause for even a moment. Despite being heavily battered, they swam rapidly toward a river channel connected to the lake, led by several Profound Flood Dragons. Nearly twenty thousand massive aquatic units made the riverway incredibly congested. Under the command of the Insect Nest, all Insect Race units advanced swiftly in a seemingly chaotic but highly efficient manner. Their target was that Flood Dragon!

Three Immortals Mountain, the underwater Flood Dragon, and the Blood Demon Sect. According to Qin Yu’s plan, he was supposed to slay the heavily injured underwater Flood Dragon first, then mobilize the entire Insect Swarm to besiege Three Immortals Mountain. The plan was perfect, but reality often harbored too many unpredictable accidents and uncontrollable factors. If the Red Feather Demon King from Three Immortals Mountain launching a preemptive strike was still within Qin Yu’s calculations, and the Flood Dragon’s sudden offensive was something he had a contingency for, then the appearance of the Blood Demon Sect was a complete and utter surprise. When all these events detonated simultaneously, even the sheer numbers of the Insect Swarm seemed somewhat stretched thin, forcing Qin Yu to pursue the fastest method to eliminate his enemies.

Where did the flying units lingering above the lake come from? Naturally, they were the detachment pursuing the Flood Dragon King, Ao Hua! The ability to divert a portion of this flying detachment was not just a preemptive measure to stop the Blood Demon Sect group from escaping; there was another reason. The Flood Dragon King was no longer far from the Dragon Palace’s lake! When the leader of the Xuan Nine Squad died, the Flood Dragon King was only twenty-some miles away from this lake! For a Qi Sea Realm existence like the Flood Dragon, this was merely a stone’s throw away. With a slight burst of speed, he could charge right over.

At this moment, the Flood Dragon also sensed that something was amiss.

”Something’s wrong! Where are the schools of fish in the river? Why haven’t I seen a single Demon Fiend?” he wondered.

Driven by the Four-winged Black Thorn Eagles and Thunder Rocs, Ao Hua, who was initially desperate to flee for his life, hadn’t noticed the anomalies in the water. But as he swam further, he gradually realized that things were off. Although ordinary fish and Demon Fiends would flee far away upon sensing his Flood Dragon pressure, given his breakneck speed, how could every single fish and Demon Fiend have escaped in time? It was completely illogical!

Just as the terrestrial Insect Swarm was expanding, the aquatic Insect Swarm was developing at an equally astonishing pace. The price for this rapid growth was naturally the complete devouring of all large lifeforms, turning them into nutrients for the swarm. The Demon Fiends and schools of fish in this river had long since been consumed by the Insect Swarm—a fact that was impossible to conceal.

”Damn it! The Dragon Palace guards still haven’t appeared, and then there’s this stench of blood!” he cursed.

As he drew closer, he hesitated. With his astonishing underwater sense of smell, he easily detected an almost suffocating stench of blood wafting from the direction of the Lake Bottom Dragon Palace. It was the scent of thousands of Underwater Demons and vast swathes of Insect Swarm corpses. Combined, at least ten thousand lives had perished in an extremely short span of time! The blood from the corpses of Demon Fiends and Insect Race warriors had nearly dyed the entire lake red.

Amidst his hesitation, his expression grew increasingly grim. In his perception, a massive number of unfamiliar yet powerful lifeforms had appeared ahead, swimming toward him at an astonishing speed, brimming with soaring Killing Intent.

At this moment, the straight-line distance to the Lake Bottom Dragon Palace was less than ten kilometers! Reaching this point, he felt a violent Energy fluctuation—the unmistakable shockwaves of battle.

Glancing up at the sky, he saw the Four-winged Black Thorn Eagles closely tailing him, periodically spitting out Blade Insects, along with the dense, dark cloud of the flying Insect Swarm. His heart continuously sank.

”Who is it? Just who is trying to kill me? That old witch? Or some other faction?” Countless thoughts surfaced in his mind.

His greatest enemy was undoubtedly that Bishui River Dragon Consort! Ever since she took control of the Bishui River Dragon Palace, the former offspring of the Bishui River Dragon King had died one by one under mysterious circumstances. Dragons were inherently lustful, so the Bishui River Dragon King’s offspring were by no means few. When all the legitimate Dragon Princes perished, even illegitimate sons like him began to die! To protect him, the Bishui River Dragon King had sent him to the remote Cang Mang Mountain Range. However, during an outing, he was still discovered.

Could it be that she had pursued him all the way here? But he was merely a Qi Sea Realm Flood Dragon. Was it really necessary to go through so much trouble—first mobilizing thousands of Flying Demon Fiends, and then deploying tens of thousands of Underwater Demons?

Amidst his confusion, he saw the dense, dark Insect Swarm charging toward him head-on. Led by the Profound Flood Dragons and the Profound Flood Dragon Cyan Ao, they rushed forward madly like a black tide. On the body of one of the Profound Flood Dragons, he could clearly see a scar—an injury caused by the bloodline Talent mastered by Captain Heiyu.

The anger accumulating in his heart finally erupted completely.

”A bunch of ants! All of you, die!”

His massive, hundred-meter-long Flood Dragon body violently churned the river water. Majestic Primordial Power mixed with his Dragon Race pressure explosively spread outward! Watching the Insect Swarm surge forward like a black tide, he opened his massive maw. It wasn’t a dragon’s roar, but rather a highly condensed blast of Ice breath! The extreme cold of his breath froze a large expanse of water ahead. Then, under his exquisite manipulation, the ice shattered into countless spikes that shot forward explosively, propelled by the water’s currents.

SQUELCH! SQUELCH!

In an instant, hundreds of Sharp-toothed Catfish and several Profound Flood Dragons leading the charge were impaled, their corpses frozen into ice sculptures.

Amidst his roars, his tail swept out horizontally. The terrifying physical force directly struck several Profound Flood Dragons attempting to close in, sending their Scale Armor flying. With shattered bones and snapped sinews, they were sent flying backward! The Dragon Horn on his head manipulated the water currents into an invisible wall, smashing all the Insect Race units in his path to pieces.
